"We drank rainwater to survive," recounted a Malaysian woman rescued from the severe floods in Hat Yai, Thailand.

In a video posted by UNITED Sikhs Malaysia on its social media accounts on Thursday (Nov 27), two women shared their ordeal, revealing that they had been stranded without food and survived only by drinking rainwater.

00:52The United Sikhs volunteers also found this man as they said many people had reached out to them to locate him.
01:04They said they were sending him to Danok and Bukit Kayu Hitam, where he could take a bus back home.
01:09Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he is moved by the courage and perseverance of the volunteer teams
01:15that had helped evacuate the Malaysians.
01:17He said more than 6,000 Malaysians stranded by the floods have returned home since the rescue operation began last Sunday.
01:25He said the mission was supported by nearly 20 Malaysian volunteer organisations mobilised in cooperation with the foreign ministry.
01:32The ministry said over 700 Malaysians were successfully evacuated to Bukit Kayu Hitam on Thursday,
01:38including many who had been sheltering in temporary flood relief centres.
01:43There were at least 18 bus trips to transport the affected flood victims from Hatay to Bukit Kayu Hitam.
