00:00China criticized Taiwan's leader Lai Shintae on Wednesday for publicly siding with Japan regarding his recent statements.

00:09The spokesman for Taiwan's Office of Affairs from the state council, Peng Kingen,

00:14accused Lai Shintae of fading off, fluttering towards Japan and engaging in acts of treason against Taiwan.

00:22He also warned Democratic Progressive Party authorities that any actions reliant on external forces will only lead to disgrace,

00:32and anyone who betrays the nation will inevitably face justice.

00:36The statements followed recent Japanese remarks about Taiwan that have sparked sustainer protests across the island.

00:42Japan's plan to deploy offensive weapons near China-Taiwan region deliberately escalates regional tensions

00:56and provokes military confrontation, which is an extremely dangerous move.

01:04The post-dam proclamation explicitly stipulates that Japan shall not be permitted to rearm for war,

01:11and the Japanese constitution, which enshrines pacifists, has also established Japan's exclusively defense-oriented policy.

01:22It is alarming that Japan's right-wing provocateurs are trying every means to break free from the pacifist constitution,

01:30going further down the path of military build-up on leading Japan and the region toward disaster.

01:36Taiwan is China's Taiwan.

01:45We will never permit any external interference in the Taiwan region,

01:49nor allow Japanese military to resurface.
