It looks like fans may get a 'Ted Lasso' season four after all. The Emmy-winning soccer comedy is on track for a 4th season after the Warner Bros. Television picked up the options on three cast members from the show's original three-season run. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift, under U.K.'s acting union Equity, have been approached to reprise their respective roles of Rebecca Walton, Roy Kent and Leslie Higgins.

00:31for the show's other main actors who are represented by SAG-AFTRA,
00:35including stars Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, and Juno Temple.
00:39Plans for season four were seemingly up in the air
00:41after it wrapped its pre-planned three-season run in May of 2023.
00:46Many of the show's actors revealed following the season three finale
00:49that they weren't sure there would be another installment of the comedy series.
00:53However, the stars also expressed their desire to continue telling their stories
00:57in some capacity.
00:58The season three finale did, however, function as a series finale of sorts.
01:03The main characters had a happy ending with Ted returning to Kansas
01:06to be with his son and ex-wife, Rebecca Ann Keely making plans
01:10to start a women's team in Richmond, and Roy taking over as manager of AFC Richmond.
01:15Earlier this month, series co-creator Bill Lawrence admitted
01:18that a fourth season of the series depended on Sudeikis,
01:21who would have to uproot his life when he has two young children with ex-Olivia Wilde.
01:26Not only is he the star, he's the head writer, and he's also the dude
01:29whose life just has to be completely overhauled
01:32and moved to a foreign country with young children.
01:34It's a big deal.
01:35So as a fan, if someone's like, oh, it's going to happen again, I'll go nuts.
