Transcript
00:00Lana Condor opened up about her hopes for the To All The Boys I've Loved Before sequel
00:15during The Hollywood Reporter's TV talk series at New York's 92nd Street Y.
00:19The 21-year-old actress said she has yet to get a script for the sequel and she's still
00:23waiting on a start date. But she revealed that she and the cast are anxious to get back
00:28to set, even if it means that our favorite couple could be headed for more complicated times.
00:33What if we let people think that we were actually together?
00:36Let's do this.
00:37A mid-credits scene in the Netflix film introduced Noah Centineo's character Peter's competition
00:43in the books, the character of John Ambrose McLaren. After reading Jenny Han's books,
00:47Condor knows a love triangle is ahead.
00:50I think Noah's really excited because he wants more drama, he wants more conflict.
00:55I guess so do I.
00:58Boys aside, Condor hopes that Lara Jean will find more of her voice in the sequel and hopes
01:03to see more of the sisterly relationships, which she calls the true love story of the film.
01:08All I want to do is be with my sisters and kiss pretty boys like this, you know what I'm saying?
01:14During the chat with THR's Jackie Strauss, Condor also spoke about how the role of Lara Jean specifically
01:20called for an Asian-American lead and why that made her aggressively pursue the part.
01:25I really believe that I could do a good job so that maybe more opportunities like this would come for other people.
01:31For the full interview where she also spills details on her new sci-fi show Deadly Class, head to THR.com.
01:37Until next time, for The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Tiffany Taylor.
