00:00Please welcome your host, Fleur East.
00:18CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:24Hello and welcome to Tuesday's episode of It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer!
00:29It's Tuesday and with the Blackpool glitter dust settling, so is our sugar rush from all
00:35those fairgrounds sweets and sticks of rock.
00:38But because we think life can never be too sweet, we thought we'd provide a little more
00:42sugar for you if you fancy it.
00:43Yes please!
00:44Well since you are so nicely, let me start unwrapping all the eye candy we've got lined
00:49up for tonight's show.
00:51There was no skirting around this Paso.
00:54Karen and Carlos are here to talk drama, passion and whether the future of their next performance
00:59is looking as crystal clear as their last.
01:03They're still celebrating that seriously good performance.
01:06I'll be deep diving into Amber and Nikita's quick step and finding out whether they think
01:10this week's instant dance will keep them afloat or leave them in the deep end.
01:16Plus nobody puts Joanne Clifton in a corner, unless it's to talk us through some choreography.
01:20It's Joanne Clifton!
01:21And we've got some exciting news for you.
01:26Not only will I be revealing this year's pro challenge step, but...
01:30Santa's back with more Christmas celebs!
01:34So stick around for the official announcement of who our fourth and fifth Strictly Christmas
01:40stars are.
01:41Ho ho ho ho ho ho!
01:43Thanks Santa!
01:44But first, there's no sugarcoating that passion in our next guest's performance.
01:49Karen and Carlos are here to talk about their Paso, which Motsi said was so good, she didn't
01:54have a paddle that in any way could express how good that dance was.
01:57And if I'd known her, I would have let her this.
02:00Maybe next time.
02:02The drama, the choreography was brilliant.
02:07Your execution was amazing, your timing, your intensity.
02:10No one will dance better than that.
02:12You are wonderful!
02:14I do not have a paddle that in any way can express how good that dance was.
02:22You nailed everything like a top class professional having never danced before.
02:27That is epic!
02:28It will go down in history!
02:32Please welcome Karen and Carlos!
02:37Three tens, the highest ever Blackpool score for a footballer.
02:40And you've got Motsi and Shirley jumping to their feet during your dance.
02:44This is them at the end.
02:46Look at them!
02:48Wow!
02:49How would you get a chance to see this?
02:51I have not seen that.
02:52Could you have imagined a reaction like that in Blackpool?
02:55No.
02:56I literally, I still, I looked at that and I was like, was that us?
03:00Well, I still watch things and think, oh, we're in that show and that's us.
03:03So it's really strange to see it back but it was unbelievable.
03:06I loved every minute of it.
03:07Yeah, and it's not just you hitting some PBs.
03:09Carlos, this is your highest score in Blackpool.
03:12Yes!
03:13I'm buzzing!
03:14What do you think it was about this dance that made it click for you?
03:18I mean, it's everything.
03:20It's everything that we have in the moment.
03:23Costume, makeup, hair, you know, the actual dancers, the music, the band, the whole production of the dance.
03:32But also, I think the most important essence is of the ballroom.
03:36Yes.
03:37The magic of the ballroom has really landed in that dance.
03:40Then we both, I believe we both felt the magic of that ballroom and really helped us.
03:46That's the best run we've ever done.
03:48Oh, that's amazing.
03:49That's what you want.
03:50You want it to happen on the night.
03:51Exactly.
03:52Let's remind ourselves of this special moment with the fluorography and that spin.
03:56Please.
03:57Yeah.
03:58Let's take a look again.
03:59I mean, wow.
04:00I tried to clean the floor, really.
04:01Look at that.
04:02I mean, how tough was it to get Kaz to make that look so effortless and be so precise?
04:07I mean, the amount of the times we practiced that floor spin is just countless.
04:14I know she had bruises on both sides of the legs.
04:17Wow.
04:18Yeah, it's an effort and we really worked.
04:20But also, it's kind of easy for her to start.
04:22I just said, stop.
04:23But she was like, okay.
04:25Were you pleased with how it turned out on the night?
04:28Oh, um, I mean, yeah, it couldn't have for us.
04:32Like Carla said, I actually made a few mistakes in the rehearsals.
04:36Oh, okay.
04:37So when that happened, I was like, whoa.
04:39But it, like Carla said, when you're in that magical ballroom, like, I did feel like we turned it on.
04:46I don't know.
04:47It was weird.
04:48But I literally was like, right, we're going to really go for it.
04:51That was the first time I felt to dance with a person who never danced before.
04:56But I had my full professional levels in that performances.
05:00I never felt it before.
05:01It was just magical for me.
05:03I got a goosebumps myself after the dance.
05:06The reaction from the audience was incredible.
05:08Yeah.
05:09It just, it was, yeah, it was really a beautiful moment.
05:12Shirley loved it.
05:13She said this Paso will go down in strictly history.
05:15It will.
05:16I mean, that's, that's high praise.
05:18Craig was the only one to give critique, though, and a nine.
05:21Be honest.
05:22Were you gutted that you didn't pull out the time?
05:23You know what?
05:24No.
05:25I genuinely, I've always stood by it, and I'll always say this to Carlos.
05:29It's how we feel.
05:30Mm.
05:31Obviously, the judges are there, and we will take on their feedback,
05:34and we've tried to every single week.
05:36But me and Carlos came off that, and we knew we gave everything,
05:40and we couldn't have done any better.
05:42And that's what's important to us.
05:44No.
05:45We can't control anything else, only what we do.
05:48And also, if we're ever given the chance where Craig ever puts up that ten,
05:53it will be so magical if we ever get that.
05:56So we'll work towards that, and we'll take on his feedback.
05:59Yes, I love it.
06:00I love it.
06:01Well, you're, of course, through to this week,
06:03or you'll be doing your couple's choice, and you'll be dancing it to this.
06:08Lady Gaga, Born This Way.
06:12Now, Kaz, you mentioned at the weekend that with this dance,
06:14you just wanted to feel free.
06:16So with a couple's choice, are you really excited to be able to just let loose?
06:20Yeah, it's really cool.
06:21There's no rules, and you can just do what you want within the framework.
06:25He keeps saying it's still framework.
06:27But there is an element where I can actually just do what I want,
06:31which is a little bit nerve-wracking, I'm sure, for Carlos.
06:34Probably that's how I feel with him most weeks.
06:36But, yeah, it's...
06:38I just get to do me, and that's really cool.
06:40He's given me the chance to do that and Jack, the choreographer.
06:43So, yeah, it's awesome.
06:44Yeah, well, we heard that you hadn't agreed yet on the style.
06:46So...
06:47It was.
06:48What are we going with now?
06:49After, you know, after long discussions,
06:51we decided to throw everything.
06:54Everything she loves.
06:56Moves, you know, grooving, you know, street, commercial,
06:59pop, breaking, you know, everything.
07:01Wow.
07:02You know, everything. Let's see, just have fun.
07:03Well, the song's all about self-acceptance, empowerment,
07:06and celebrating diversity.
07:08You're working with Jake Lee on the choreography.
07:10Yeah.
07:11How are you going to bring that message to life in the dance?
07:13Jake's just wonderful.
07:14He come to me with a great concept of this dance.
07:17We wanted this dance to be a celebration.
07:19Yeah.
07:20We want this dance to have all of the contents
07:22that Karen feel comfortable with
07:24and can really, really express it for herself
07:27in the best way she can.
07:28Mm.
07:29So, and today, the second day of the rehearsal,
07:31it did come across alive.
07:33And you can tell she's loving it.
07:35And there's, like she said, no rules, no heels.
07:38She's, yeah.
07:39Yes.
07:40What does the message of the song mean to you, Kaz?
07:42Um, the reason why we actually picked it
07:45was the first line is, um, my mama told me when we were young.
07:49We were all born superstars.
07:51But I told my mum that when I was 11,
07:54I was going to play for England.
07:56And she said to me, we've all, there's so many barriers out there.
08:00She, all she said to me was, if you want something,
08:03work hard for it and go after it.
08:06And Carlos absolutely adores his mum and your mum.
08:10So it's very personal for both of us, for our mums.
08:13Our mums have encouraged Carlos to be the amazing dancer he is.
08:17And my mum has pushed me to become a footballer.
08:22And I believe that I was born to play football
08:25and he was born to dance.
08:27So we were born this week.
08:28Aww.
08:29That's a lovely, lovely story.
08:31I love that.
08:32We also have to talk about this week's Instant Dance Challenge.
08:35Let's not, let's not.
08:37Well, aside from your concerns about Carlos,
08:40how are you feeling about this?
08:42What was going through your mind when you were told about this challenge?
08:45Um, panic.
08:47Um, still panic and anxiety.
08:50But I trust this guy.
08:52So I know whatever he tells me to do or whatever he wants to do,
08:56whatever he does, I'll just be, I'll be led by him,
08:59I'll be guided by him and I'll just go with it with him.
09:01Amazing.
09:02That's nice.
09:04Well, good luck in training.
09:05It's Karen and Carlos!
09:06Thanks.
09:10Now, we all know about bar charts and pie charts,
09:13but there's one chart we look forward to every single week.
09:16It's time to get the lowdown on all the songs our couples will be dancing to
09:19in Top of the Bops.
09:27Welcome to the official It Takes Two chart show countdown.
09:31Woo!
09:32In case you didn't manage to catch the results show,
09:33here are the songs our couples will be dancing to this Saturday.
09:36So in no particular order, here's this week's Top of the Bops.
09:42Climbing back to six, George and Alexis will be dancing
09:44A Quick Step to Get a Kick Out of You by Frank Sinatra.
09:47Hopefully the judges will get a kick out of this one.
09:51At five, Balvinda and Julian will be jiving to
09:54Right Back Where We Started From by Maxine Nightingale.
09:57So let's see if this track helps them get right back
09:59where they belong in the competition.
10:01A non-mover at four, Lewis and Katia will be performing a run
10:06butt to Falling by Harry Styles,
10:08but Lewis will be hoping for no falls this weekend.
10:12Now the moment you've all been waiting for,
10:14it's the top three.
10:15Again, in no particular order.
10:18Straight in at number three,
10:19Alex and Johannes will be dancing a cha-cha-cha to this.
10:24That's Ring My Bell by Anita Ward, released in 1979.
10:28It spent two weeks at number one.
10:30They'll be hoping they can ring in some magic
10:32and cha-cha charm us this weekend.
10:35At number two, we just heard from them.
10:37Karen and Carlos will be performing their couple's choice to this.
10:43That's Lady Gaga's track, Born This Way,
10:45known for her reinventions.
10:47This routine promises to be Gaga level iconic.
10:50Let's hope they can defeat Craig's poker face this weekend.
10:54And at number one, Amber and Nikita are jiving to this.
10:58That's Proud Mary by Tina Turner.
11:02Former Strictly celeb Alexandra Burke earned a perfect 40 for her jive
11:06in the final to this track back in 2017.
11:09Amber and Nikita will be hoping they make themselves proud with this one.
11:14And that's it for this week's official Strictly top of the box.
11:16Next up, before we announce our next Christmas celebs, our pros have been warming up for something else.
11:25Ready to take on a step that took TikTok by storm and battle it out for a Guinness world record title.
11:30Yes, you guessed it. Tomorrow sees the return of the Pro Challenge.
11:37Here's a little teaser.
11:39The Strictly Pro Challenge is back.
11:42Our professional dancers are attempting to set a world record for the most samba whisks performed in 30 seconds.
11:51Let's go!
11:53This year, I'm on the panel and I'll be keeping a close watch on our dancers' technique.
12:00No!
12:01Is this hard, son?
12:02No!
12:03I love it!
12:04Ah!
12:05Only one pro can be victorious.
12:08Ah!
12:09I've got this.
12:10World record, I'm coming for you.
12:12Let's go!
12:13Bring it on.
12:14Welcome to the Strictly Pro Challenge 2025.
12:19Let's go!
12:20Oh, it looks good.
12:23Now.
12:24Oh, you guys, you know what that sound means.
12:28It's time to announce more celebrities taking part in this year's Christmas special.
12:33But first, let's recap on all the cracking celebs we have so far.
12:38Our first festive reveal was presenter and former queen of the jungle, Scarlet Muffet.
12:43She'll be dancing with Vito.
12:44Next out of the Strictly stocking was Menelie Blatt.
12:48We'll be dancing with Kai.
12:50And finally, we unwrapped Jodie Owensley, a.k.a. Fury from Gladiators.
12:54We'll be dancing with Neil.
12:56So who else is about to jingle all the way onto our Christmas Day dance floor?
13:01Let's find out.
13:02What's going on, people?
13:03It's me, Baba Tunde Alesje, here.
13:05I'm here to tell you that I am taking part in this year's Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing.
13:12That's right.
13:13I'm here to shake a leg and show you how it's done.
13:17That's right.
13:18All you've got to do is two-step.
13:19Just hit.
13:20Bow.
13:21Oh.
13:22You see that?
13:23If you want to see more than that, just tune in.
13:25And I'm going to be doing that the whole routine.
13:27And also, if you want to know who my partner is, over to you, Fleur.
13:34Thanks, Baba Tunde.
13:35I can indeed reveal, Baba Tunde's pro dance partner is Nancy.
13:42Ready for another one?
13:44Yes, please.
13:45Okay.
13:46Here you go.
13:47Hi.
13:48My name's Nicholas Bailey.
13:49And you might know me for playing Dr. Anthony Truman in BBC's EastEnders.
13:53And I'm delighted to be joining you for Strictly's Christmas special.
13:58It's such an amazing opportunity.
14:00I'm going to have a fantastic time.
14:01But the most amazing thing is my incredible partner.
14:04Hello.
14:05Yes.
14:06Oh, no, no, no.
14:07I've got the partner.
14:08Yes, he's wonderful.
14:09Yes.
14:10He danced before?
14:11Definitely.
14:12Yeah.
14:13Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:14Oh, he's going to be great.
14:15Choreography's perfect.
14:16How exciting.
14:17We can't wait to watch Baba Tunde and Nicholas unwrap some serious moves on Christmas Day.
14:23And stay tuned as Jeanette will be officially announcing the final Christmas celebrity on
14:28tomorrow's show.
14:29Yeah!
14:30Now, Picasso, Da Vinci, Van Gogh, just some of the great artists.
14:36But there's someone whose art never fails to inspire me.
14:39And she's been working tirelessly since last Monday to ensure tonight's masterpiece is her
14:43greatest creation yet.
14:45And I think she's almost done.
14:46How are you getting on, Jo?
14:47Voila!
14:48Well then, I guess it's time for Choreography Corner.
14:52Yeah!
14:53What a weekend.
14:54Let's start.
14:55Let's talk about Alex and Johannes and the couple's choice.
14:56Now, Craig mentioned he wanted to see more definition in Alex's movement.
14:57Did you agree?
14:58And what difference do you think that would have made?
14:59I do agree.
15:00And what difference do you think that would have made?
15:01I do agree.
15:02And if we watch the clip now, you're going to see three kind of like accents.
15:08One, two, three, to the music.
15:09Then there was a lovely extended arms there.
15:10And then she does a little cheeky like, oh, wiping her sweat off her brow.
15:11There.
15:12There.
15:13Now, those first three accents were to the music.
15:14It was like ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom.
15:15I was like, oh, I'm sorry.
15:16I was like, oh, what a weekend.
15:17So, what a weekend.
15:18Let's start.
15:19Let's talk about Alex and Johannes and the couple's choice.
15:20Now, Craig mentioned he wanted to see more definition in Alex's movement.
15:23Did you agree?
15:24And what difference do you think that would have made?
15:26I do agree.
15:27And if we watch the clip now, you're going to see three kind of like accents.
15:31One, two, three, to the music.
15:33Then there was a lovely extended arms there.
15:35And then she does a little cheeky like, oh, wiping her sweat off her brow kind of thing.
15:39There.
15:40Those three accents were to the music.
15:42It was like ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom.
15:43I would have loved her to be a little bit sharper, a little bit more punched to it, and a little
15:48bit further away from her body so that the people at the back of the room can see what
15:53she was doing.
15:54She did that in other moments, like up on the shoulder, she was filling the space.
15:58But we needed a little bit more.
15:59Then her arm was beautiful.
16:00Then this thing here, right, again, the people at the back need to see it.
16:04It's a little bit like I'm in a play now, but in a play, everything's kind of understated
16:08and internal.
16:09And in a musical, you kind of present it a little bit further out.
16:12And it needed to be a little bit more like you're in a musical so that people at the
16:16back can see it.
16:17So I'm hoping she'll do that next week.
16:19Right.
16:20On to Amber and Nikita and the quick step.
16:21Now, Motsi recognised that Amber had been working on stretching, like the judges had
16:26asked her to, but felt that she could have relaxed more.
16:28Where did she see that?
16:29And how should it have looked?
16:31I mean, Amber's a perfectionist.
16:32You can absolutely tell.
16:33She was stretching up, but she stretched up so far that you can see the gapping there.
16:37She actually became a banana shape.
16:39She was extending from her lower back instead of from the area where her bra strap would
16:43be.
16:44Let me get you a diagram.
16:45Oh, here she is.
16:46Right.
16:47Here's my diagram of the week.
16:48So I was working on her.
16:50So basically, she had this kind of shape going on, like a banana shape, where you only
16:55have one point of contact.
16:56It's easy to lose.
16:57If she would go from her bra strap and like project up where her sternum is and keep that
17:03part of her body straight, she can have her two contact points, hip and rib.
17:09That way, we can keep a nice diagonal line out and less gapping.
17:14She did promenade position.
17:16Excellent.
17:17She was listening to Shirley last week about the head position.
17:19And in my opinion, she had the hardest dance, not because of the choreography, but because
17:23it was the easiest to see the mistakes in.
17:25So props to her.
17:26Well, those drawings, Vincent Jo and Gotham.
17:28Am I right?
17:29OK, onto George and Alexis and the salsa.
17:32Now, Craig felt the whole base of George's salsa was danced a little bit wide.
17:36What did he mean by that?
17:37Well, first of all, where did this come from?
17:40I mean, look at his face here in a minute.
17:42Like, I was like, what is this?
17:45We've never seen this side of George, but we'll talk about that in a minute.
17:48So the base in salsa has to kind of stay underneath the body.
17:52So when you're going from the side to side or forward and back, you have it here underneath
17:56the body.
17:57So then you can do the hip action and forward as well.
18:00I did see a few times when he did the backwards step that it was a little bit too far back.
18:05So he didn't get his weight over the foot.
18:07But the performance of it, I think what people need to understand is the performance
18:11of the dance is just as important as the technical stuff because you're selling it.
18:16And you can.
18:17We say fake it till you make it.
18:18I don't think he was faking it.
18:19I think he loved that dance.
18:21But it's like you need to perform it.
18:24You can be as technically perfect as you want, but you can't be boring.
18:27And I hope he keeps that up for the rest of the series.
18:31OK, on to Lewis and Katya and Ed Charleston.
18:33All the judges loved this routine.
18:35And Lewis earned the second 40 of the series.
18:38What stood out the most to you?
18:39Oh, my gosh.
18:40I'm a bit like Anton.
18:41I have no words.
18:42I'm like, wow.
18:43I mean, look.
18:44The lifts.
18:45I thought it was going to be too much Lindy Hop.
18:47But no, they went into a chart.
18:48It was perfect.
18:49But look at this part.
18:50The coordination and the speed between arms and legs and the synchronicity of it.
18:54So I'm going to do a little exercise for people at home to help with coordination.
19:00Right?
19:01So I want everybody at home to try this in demo time.
19:04OK, now this might seem a little bit silly, but it is a coordination exercise that we do
19:13as dancers, beginners to help with coordination.
19:16So everybody at home, please try along with us.
19:18We're going to bang our knees or the table twice.
19:20One, two.
19:21You put one hand on your nose.
19:23You put the other hand across to your ear.
19:26Again, one, two.
19:28Then the other hand on your nose and then cross on the other side.
19:32So it goes one, two, three.
19:35One, two, three.
19:36Get faster.
19:37One, two, three.
19:38One, two, three.
19:39One, two, three.
19:40OK, if you want to make it even more difficult, add the feet to different rhythms here.
19:45One, and two, and.
19:46One, and two, and.
19:48One, two, three.
19:49One, two, three.
19:50One, two, three.
19:51One, two, three.
19:52Well done, everybody.
19:54And that's an exercise that we do as beginners.
19:57The whole studio is involved.
19:59That was so fun.
20:00On to Karen and Carlos and the Paso.
20:02Now, Shirley praised Carlos' choreography for being of the highest competitive quality.
20:07And Motsi said she didn't have a paddle high enough to score this.
20:10What did you think?
20:11Let's be clear, this was a 40.
20:14I don't know what Craig was looking at.
20:16The thing is, like, he, I think he was like, I don't know, listening to earlier comments on different Pasos when they've said,
20:22Oh, I love the regalness, the calmness, the slowness and control.
20:26But they had the music.
20:27Bum, bum, bum, bum.
20:29Like, what are you going to do?
20:30So you're not going to be slow, are you?
20:31So she attacked it.
20:32She was great.
20:33She was great.
20:34And what we were speaking about last week with the fibers, the fast twitch fibers, this is exactly where she used them to the best of her ability.
20:41She did the spin on the floor, abs of steel and bam, stopped in the perfect direction with a perfect position and up she goes.
20:48I also think she's been working on the slower ones because she didn't actually look stiff.
20:52She hit the lines, but she didn't look like, ooh, like that.
20:56She was actually brilliant.
20:58Ten from me.
20:59Okay.
21:00Onto Balbinder and Julian and the Argentine Tango.
21:02Now, Motsi and Shirley agreed that Bal needed to focus on the tiny details when finishing each movement.
21:07What did you make of her performance?
21:09I actually thought, along with her couple's choice, that this was her best dance.
21:13Ah.
21:14I loved this side of her, which was calm, focused and sultry.
21:17There's a bit coming up in a second where she stops dead still and right to her finger, there, to her fingertips.
21:23She's like an ice statue, like a queen.
21:26Yes.
21:27It was brilliant.
21:28So we did have a few details like on the ganchos, which means hook with these behind his legs.
21:33She wasn't pointing her feet and also on the lift and everything.
21:36And also, she had what I call a bunch of banana hands.
21:40So she would put it on her shoulder like that, rather than that.
21:43But another amazing dance.
21:45Well, do you think you can come back next week with some more drawings?
21:48I think I can.
21:49Amazing.
21:50Let's hear it for Joanne Clifton!
21:56Next up, Amber and Nikita made such a splash at the weekend, we couldn't help but reach for the stars ourselves.
22:01Because when Shells, Sand and Sea are involved, it's true.
22:04There really ain't no party like an S Club party.
22:07Let's remind ourselves of their quick step.
22:09You're very energetic, you're light, you change, you're quick, you have a lot of fluidity.
22:17I loved it.
22:18Your timing is exceptional.
22:22You are such a brilliant performer.
22:24You covered this wonderful floor amazingly, absolutely gorgeous.
22:34I loved it.
22:35Well done.
22:40It's Amber and Nikita!
22:42Guys, a quick step in the iconic Tower Ballroom and no elimination.
22:47How good did it feel to just enjoy that moment without the pressure of a dance-off hanging over everyone?
22:51Very true.
22:52I was still extremely nervous.
22:54Really?
22:55Yeah.
22:56I had like one second of, oh, this is amazing.
22:59And then, I don't know, there was something about the quick step that had me really nervous.
23:04And I think it was the frame.
23:06The frame.
23:07Wow.
23:08There's something about me and the frame.
23:10I was getting it by the end of the week.
23:12But with me, when I get a little bit nervous, I tend to grab.
23:16Interesting reflex.
23:17Yeah.
23:18Everything.
23:19Yeah.
23:20And Amber, you dedicated the dance to your Nana, Jeanette, who was there cheering you on in
23:31the audience.
23:32She was.
23:33There she is.
23:34You know, she's been my number one fan my entire life.
23:37So to be able to like do something for her, you know, it's very special to me, to my family.
23:44So I'm so glad that I got to do that.
23:46Well, she even made it onto the dance floor herself.
23:49She did.
23:50Check this out.
23:51She's got some moves.
23:52Thank you for doing that.
24:06She's the best.
24:07She's just the best.
24:08Big up Nana.
24:09We all love our nanas, don't we?
24:10Yeah.
24:11They're just the best thing in the world.
24:12Without them, we wouldn't be the same.
24:13Big up all the nanas around the world.
24:15Yeah.
24:16Nana Jeanette, though, wasn't the only family member there, Nikita.
24:19Yeah.
24:20Your parents were there as well, watching you.
24:21It was so sweet.
24:22Look at them.
24:23So proud.
24:24So what do your parents make of your partnership?
24:26They absolutely loved it.
24:28They were so, so happy to just be there.
24:32They were happy to see us dance together.
24:34Because it was obviously the first time that they actually came this year.
24:37And yeah, they just loved it.
24:39It was just so nice seeing them smiling, seeing them there, seeing them just enjoy the time
24:45and being hopefully a little bit proud as well.
24:47I am so proud of you.
24:49It's just the best thing in the world.
24:51It's lovely.
24:52And Amber, having the experience of large scale stage shows with the extra dancers, did you feel a little bit more at home?
24:57I mean, you said you were nervous, but was that a bit of a comfort?
24:59No, I loved that.
25:00I absolutely loved that.
25:03Especially when we could like do the tricks and things like that.
25:07And at the end, I think I like what last three eights of our routine was like all of us dancing together.
25:12And it was the energy was just so good.
25:15Even in rehearsal.
25:16I couldn't see none of you.
25:17You know, I was just facing the front and I was like hoping that everything was doing it.
25:20Please let it be going.
25:23I was just hoping that everything is fine behind my back.
25:25You took full advantage of the extra dancers, Nikita.
25:28With this crab style move that you did.
25:31I was not sure where we were going for the sentence.
25:33Yeah, look.
25:34Look at you.
25:35Here we go.
25:36Little crab to the side.
25:37Yeah.
25:38What inspired this move, Nikita?
25:40You know what?
25:42It's a variation of this move has been done like in 1960s.
25:47And we just were searching for a way to do something cool.
25:52And it was just a billion things that we could have done and we decided to be a crab.
25:57You know.
25:58Well it went with the theme.
25:59It did.
26:00You know.
26:01Blackpool pier and beach and all that.
26:02Yeah.
26:03Blackpool.
26:04Fish and chips.
26:05Lobsters crab.
26:06Crab.
26:07Crab on the dance floor.
26:09Quick step.
26:1040.
26:11But that is so much effort.
26:12Makes sense.
26:13To do that.
26:14Yeah.
26:15I was more exhausted from that than from the whole routine.
26:17I love that.
26:18Well the quick step is now in the past and you'll be dancing a jive to this.
26:25Tina Turner.
26:27Proud Mary.
26:29I mean you've gone from a fast paced quick step to an even faster dance.
26:33It's so fast.
26:34The jive.
26:35It's so fast.
26:36You're probably still catching your breath.
26:37How are you finding this dance?
26:39Well I feel like from Blackpool I think everyone is like slightly on the back foot.
26:45I'm a little bit fatigued.
26:46I mean I've been fatigued for ten weeks.
26:48Well I was going to say.
26:49Yeah.
26:50When Nikita was teaching me the jive today.
26:52I had like three brain cells and I was trying to figure it out.
26:56So hopefully you know tomorrow after a good sleep I'll tackle it again.
27:00Yeah.
27:01No.
27:02It was great.
27:03It was great.
27:04It's just very fast.
27:05It's so fast.
27:06You know it.
27:07And we need to talk about the instant dance challenge.
27:08I mean this is going to be chaos.
27:09The judges will be marking the dancers from 6 to 1 and this could really shake up the leaderboard
27:14actually.
27:15This could change everything.
27:16Nikita you were so excited for this in the results show.
27:18But Amber.
27:19What do you think about it?
27:21Well.
27:22This is my thought.
27:24We're in a very dangerous spot on the leaderboard.
27:26Yeah we are.
27:27So we could really benefit from the extra 6 points.
27:30Okay.
27:31Yeah.
27:32So at first I thought oh this is going to be so fun.
27:34So excited and now I'm thinking actually we need to be really good at it.
27:38What?
27:39We do it all best.
27:40And then.
27:41No.
27:42Listen.
27:43The priority is still to show off Amber's skills.
27:44Yeah.
27:45But at the same time it's an entertainment show.
27:48live television.
27:49So let's have some fun.
27:51You know.
27:52No rules.
27:53Yes.
27:54And I feel like out of everyone I've got the most chaotic partner.
27:56So I have no idea what he's going to make me do.
27:58Oh it's going to be so fun.
27:59It is going to be great.
28:00Good luck in training.
28:01Can't wait to see you all.
28:02Thank you so much.
28:03Thank you so much.
28:04It's Amber and Nikita.
28:05Yay.
28:08Well that's it for tonight.
28:09Jeanette will be here tomorrow with the first professional to take part in our pro challenge.
28:13And she will be announcing the final celebrity for this year's Christmas special.
28:17Plus she'll be catching up with Balvinda and Julian and George and Alexis.
28:20Have a lovely evening.
28:21Have a lovely evening.
