00:00You're very happy that the Eagles got a wide receiver because A.J. Brown is apparently going to New England
00:05after June 1st.
00:06And beyond that, the way the Eagles have worked their draft is they really do believe in best player.
00:10They don't draft for the now.
00:11I know for a fact, because I talked to some people with the Eagles, they had him pretty high as
00:16a pick.
00:16And most mock drafts did not have him fall in the 20th.
00:19You're talking about the wide receiver.
00:20The wide receiver.
00:21I like the process.
00:22When I look at the draft, really, it's really to me not really about, because I don't know whether or
00:26not the player is going to be good or not.
00:27For me, it's about what was the process when you make that pick.
00:31Like, I don't love a rebuilding team taking a running back at three.
00:35I love the Cardinals.
00:36Love him.
00:37I think he's arguably the best player.
00:39I think Dallas was the best player.
00:40I think he's the second best player in this draft.
00:43Love.
00:44Love is.
00:44But it doesn't make sense to me the process of drafting a running back.
00:47Throw him down to safety.
00:48He went to Dallas.
00:49With the Dallas.
00:50And I hate to admit it.
00:51He went to Dallas.
00:51I think he was the best player in the draft.
00:54Safety's not the most important position.
00:56But I have no issues with the pick.
00:58Taking love at three to me has nothing to do with him.
01:00I think he's great.
01:01Yeah, me too.
01:01But when your team stinks, we've seen it with Saquon.
01:04We've seen it a lot of times.
01:05Yeah, running back can't save you all the time.
01:07Offensive line can save you.
01:09Exactly.
01:09Edge rushers can save you.
01:11Great stud quarterback can save you.
01:12That kind of thing.
01:14So, it's about the process.
01:15And what I liked about the Jets is the process of the picks.
01:19It appears it made sense.
01:20I thought the Jets had a good draft.
01:22Look, I'm not telling you the Jets are going to win eight games this year.
01:24We'll find out.
01:25But it's like, to me, the New York Jets, I thought, did well.
01:29Right.
01:30I know a lot of people don't know the tight end all that well.
01:33He made a lot of plays at Oregon.
01:34But the dude ran a 4-3-8.
01:36And was productive on the field as well.
01:38He's a player, right?
01:40Cooper's a player.
01:41Made a lot of plays on a good team.
01:42Yeah.
01:43So, look, again, I don't know how it's going to work out.
01:45Like, Garrett Wilson is a great wide receiver.
01:48And Garrett Wilson hasn't had a winning season since he joined the Jets.
01:51Exactly.
01:51So, David Bailey was the best edge rusher out there.
01:56Obviously, he makes that defensive line a lot better.
01:58And, again, I don't care about grades.
02:01I don't like what people get about grades.
02:02I look at guys and say, hey, have I seen them play?
02:05Right.
02:06Hey, are they good players?
02:08Are they decent guys?
02:09And I think across the board, the answer is yes.
02:12I did find it interesting.
02:14The pick that you guys made, Lemon, who's obviously a rock star wide receiver.
02:18He made a bunch of plays at USC.
02:20Played his butt off.
02:20He's a crazy, talented kid.
02:22Yeah.
02:22And I imagine he'll work great.
02:24The other side of Devontae Smith.
02:26Mm-hmm.
02:26So, look, I'm good with it.
02:28The Eagles need weapons.
02:29Obviously, A.J. Brown's going to New England after June 1st.
02:31And you have an embattled quarterback that needs a dude to throw the football to.
02:34Right.
02:35Outside of Devontae, right?
02:36But he's one of those kids where he doesn't do himself any favors based on how he presents
02:44himself, pre-draft interviews, post-draft interview last night.
02:49And he's the kind of kid where I think if you're a Die Hard Eagle fan, it's almost like
02:55when they drafted Deshaun Jackson.
02:58Right?
02:58Great player.
02:59Mm-hmm.
03:00Doesn't do himself a lot of favors when he starts talking, but a great player.
03:04Right.
03:04And he grew up, but it took a while.
03:06And he came from, you know, bad background and gangs and all this stuff out in California,
03:10whatever.
03:10So, I think Lemon's more that kind of kid where he might be great, but I think you're going
03:15to have some heartaches with him along the way off the field.
03:19Although-
03:19And I'm not saying that he's a bad kid who's going to get in trouble.
03:22I'm saying, like, if that kid doesn't get to rock, that's the kid that's going to say
03:26something.
