00:00Well, hi guys. Um, I watched the first episode of the show and I loved it. I talked to all the
00:04girls except for Victoria yesterday. So maybe I saved the best for last. We'll say. I'm just
00:12curious from both of you how this opportunity came to be on the show. And if there was any
00:17hesitation from either of you to be on reality TV and let the cameras into your lives.
00:21Not for me. The opportunity was brought directly to me after I, um, blew up on TikTok. The
00:29virality of the internet is, is one hell of a drug. Um, I, but the video that everyone
00:34saw was about the differences between living in America and living in Paris. And my God,
00:40we absolutely need this type of content for the show. Is that what we're looking for? Like,
00:43please do an interview. And I was like, Hey man, where do I sign? I was ready for it. And
00:50I was also kind of used to some people like poking around, looking, seeing what I'm doing,
00:55but now I'm seeing me like at work, you know, doing, doing big things and not just like, you
01:00know, silly little TikTok dances. Yeah. Um, and for me, it was pretty different situation. I was,
01:08you know, looking to change up what I was doing in my life. And so being that remote work was so
01:14popular and my company followed suit, I decided like, this is my chance. Like I can just work from
01:19Paris time. I was like doing the math. And so while I was like making plans to make that big
01:23move, um, my friend sent me like a little Instagram poster, I guess it was. And, and it was like,
01:30Oh, like America's moving to Paris. Like we're looking for you. And I was like, well, for shits
01:34and gigs, like, who knows? Like, let me just put my name in. And then that just spiraled. And here I am.
01:41What were your, um, family's reactions to you guys joining the show?
01:47Um, so I'm like, okay, we have like a really superstitious family. So I like barely told my
01:53family members until like, it was real. So like when I was like in the application stages, I guess
01:57you call it casting stages. I didn't say a word. Like I was like, just in case, like, I don't want
02:02any jealousy or bad omits put into the world, like to keep this under wrap. So, um, after moving in
02:08silence for a little while, um, and then I finally got the call, I like told my mommy, I was like,
02:12Hey, like this is happening. And I told my aunt who lives in Paris, because obviously I was going
02:16to be seeing her and like spending a lot of time with her. So, um, yeah. And they were, they were
02:21happy. They were like, definitely like, congratulations. Like, that's crazy. Like, who are
02:24you? But also, wow. How about you, Casey? Um, my family was like, we would tell you to leave town
02:35and change your name, but she already left town. No, I'm just kidding. Um, you did that already,
02:39so. Exactly. I was like, I'm halfway there. No, um, my family's super, super supportive of me. Uh,
02:46they're also, also like really busy in their own endeavors. And I kind of been trying to figure out
02:51exactly what I was doing in Paris. Like I was always teaching English. We could always do that.
02:55And I was like, do I want to switch branches? Do I want to try something new? And then this opportunity
02:58knocked. And I told my dad about it and he is a big Bravo fan. And he was like, so I see
03:04all the good things about it. And I see when things tend to spiral, go viral. So he was
03:08like, I'm good to hear. But again, your life is your life. And I know who you are. You're a good
03:13person. You have genuine character. Like if, if anybody in our family could do this, it was you. So.
03:19Good. And then my next, my next question is probably something that maybe Casey, your dad was
03:23wondering, which is how is this show different than Real Housewives? Because obviously right away,
03:28you can make comparisons just based that it's a group of girls, obviously younger group with you
03:32guys versus Housewives on Bravo. How does this show differentiate and how do you guys kind of
03:37make it your own? Yeah. So my dad, uh, Bravo Hallecky is, he would never admit it. So you could
03:42quote me on this and he'll be like, deny. Okay. Real men watch Bravo.
03:47But yeah, Real Men do watch Bravo. Um, but yeah, uh, so I, I've actually never seen a single episode
03:53of Housewives. Like I love them all. It's hilarious. Garcelle's beautiful. I just, I don't, I haven't
03:58been into it until this point in time. Um, but I think what it is similar to, because
04:03I, you know, as a young girl, I can't relate to a housewife. I thought it was more similar
04:08to, um, like a cool combination of ladies of London and gallery girls. Like you get the
04:14inner aspect, then you get like the young people's interpersonal lives and how are they going to
04:20grow together? How are they going to grow apart, but like back together, you know? So I think
04:24that it's not exactly like Housewives, but there's a lot of other Bravo, like take little
04:29pieces up and they put together to make this awesome show. Yeah. And the, um, first episode,
04:35Ajah, we'll start with you. We kind of get to see a glimpse of each of your guys' individual
04:38lives as well as you guys all coming together and being friends. What can we expect from each
04:42of your individual stories that we're going to see play out this season? Yeah. Um, I think
04:47that like some of the recurring arcs will tend to like, you know, be about like the romance
04:52of Paris because like everyone calls this city of love, you know, it's the city of lights.
04:55Funny. Um, I think that there's also like a lot of like the friendship aspect to it. Like
05:02you'll see those bonds form kind of in real time as they strengthen. Um, and I also think
05:08that like, there's a lot of, it's so picturesque. Like Paris is so stunning, like visually. And
05:14so I think that the, the one thing that's really different than like, you know, filming
05:18in Beverly Hills or filming in Atlanta is that like American cities, like as great as they
05:22are, they don't have the same history. They don't have the same architecture and uniqueness.
05:27Um, so I think that the visuals of our show are definitely going to stand out.
05:32Yeah. Casey, what about you? What can we expect to say?
05:36If you have a ride over in America, I'll, I'll give them that. I'm missing AC really bad
05:40right now. Sorry. I'm like, that's, that's one, that's one good thing about America, I guess.
05:44One good thing. And the paper products. Bounty. I miss red plastic cups so badly. Oh my God.
05:53Nothing like a good red cup. Nothing like a classic solo. Um, oh, okay. Wait, I took too
05:59many tangents. What was the question? What can we kind of expect to see from your individual
06:03storyline this season? Um, so my, like a lot of the girls are like, you know, having their
06:08relationships with work and having their relationships with people. I'm really having a relationship with
06:12the city itself. Like things are going up for me, going down for me, coming back up all
06:17around. So I'm kind of excited to see it for myself, um, play out and like how hard I've
06:23been fighting to just like be here, stay here, um, work here and like, you know, live
06:30here. So that's me. It's pretty much me in Paris.
06:35Yeah. Obviously the dating scene is going to be a storyline for all of you. What can you
06:40tell us about what dating is like for you personally, at least in Paris and how does it maybe compare
06:45to what people go through in the dating world over here in America? Um, I think the trailer
06:50said it best where American guys want to bang me. We'll actually give me, you know, the time
06:57of day and date me. Gentlemen.
06:59So I think that's a stark difference of being courted versus like a coffin.
07:11Casey, how about you? How's, um, dating life over in Paris?
07:15For me, I would say that dating anywhere is difficult. First of all, in this page, in this
07:24economy, um, especially post COVID because there's such a disconnect with human beings.
07:30Yeah. Also, that's actually like better for me because the pool of other Americans in town
07:37was zero. I was an essential worker. I had to go to the school every day, teach with the
07:41windows open in winter time because we didn't, right? You don't have AC. You can't circulate
07:44the air. So I'm like shivering and I'm teaching. But once they did start opening, you know, letting
07:49people back outside, but they didn't open the borders. I'd be like, hello, Paris. And every
07:54man would be like, a foreigner. Like what a shit. So that was really fun and cool. I
08:00was like, have my own, you know, diving pool. Oh yeah. Yeah. So having my own diving board
08:12into the Paris dating pool. Um, yeah. Um, but you know, it's dating is dating. Sometimes
08:19it's really fun and then sometimes it's dating. Yeah. What would you each say? And maybe this
08:25is probably something we see play out on the show is the biggest misconception about Paris
08:29and being a young woman living in Paris. Being a young American woman who lives in Paris.
08:34the misconception is that I don't speak French and I don't have any friends. Like I can learn,
08:42you know, anybody, anyone can learn. So yeah. How about you, Aja? Um, misconception being young
08:51and hot in Paris. We're adding the hot too. Um, I don't know. I feel like my, my version of Paris
09:02in my head stems from like my childhood and understanding it in one regard. So I think that
09:07one thing that people might not recognize is that like Paris isn't as scary. Like people aren't as
09:14rude and as mean as you think. Um, maybe a little bit. A New Yorker. Exactly. Well, it's like a little
09:21different because there's like a level of respect, like in the same way as like a New Yorker,
09:24like a Parisian, they just mind their own business. So, um, yeah, the French aren't rude.
09:29They're just different. And I think people, it's just that you don't speak French.
09:34Yeah, exactly. Like it's, it's a cultural barrier. So that's, I don't think that's a bad thing
09:39necessarily. I think people need to kind of get over it. Yeah. What do you guys think is maybe
09:44going to surprise American viewers watching the show, whether they learn about Paris itself or
09:49even your individual journeys? What do you think may come as a surprise to us? Um, that is not always
09:55a fairytale. It looks like one, but that's actually something the other girl said too. It's not life
10:00isn't as perfect, whatever perfect means out there. Yeah. Um, also we're mostly French speakers. So
10:09I think that right now people don't realize that like Margo's like parents are French, like my
10:14grandmother and past are all French. So it's just kind of funny to think that like, they're probably
10:20like, Oh, just like Americans being loud, yada, yada. No, we're, we're French girls in a way,
10:25whether it be like adopting Paris as our home or if it's actually to be birthright.
10:30Sure. My last question for both of you, each individually today is what would you say was
10:35maybe a learning lesson or something that you took away from this experience, filming the show,
10:40spending time with each other, immersing yourself even more until the culture?
10:43Um, don't be afraid of new opportunities because honestly, I never in a million years imagined
10:50like this would come across my lap and I decided to just like take the chance and it's been such an
10:57amazing experience. So yeah. I agree. I literally a year ago to the day I was like a public servant
11:07I'm like, I was ready to do that for the rest of my life. And I was like, but I know I do cool,
11:14interesting things too, other than teaching. Like my students are always like, what do you do when
11:17you go home? And I'm like, check in September 5th on Broadway. Right. I was about to say that now
11:23they have a channel for, to watch all that go down. I guess one, one last question. Do either of
11:30you have any regrets from anything that's happened that happened on the show? Any, any regrets or
11:34no regrets? Just fine. I burped a lot. So they don't use that. Right. We'll see how, we'll see
11:43how, uh, I regret many a sleepless night prior to filming just because my eye bags, they're Gucci,
11:55but. Oh God. All right. Well, I'm so excited. It's September 5th. Bravo. I'm sure Casey,
12:01your dad will be tuning in. I'm sure so many people will be tuning in. I'm so excited.
12:06I know he's going to. But real man, watch Bravo. Thank you guys so much for taking the time and,
12:11um, congrats on being a part of the show and I look forward to watching the rest of the season.
12:15Have a good rest of your day. Thank you guys. Bye. Take care.
