00:00A new war of words this morning between Marjorie Taylor Greene, Time magazine, even some of her
00:08own colleagues, all just days after she announced she's leaving Congress. Time reported over the
00:13weekend that Greene has privately told allies she's considering a run for president in 2028.
00:20In a lengthy post on X, Greene fired back, calling the story a complete lie and insisting
00:26she's never planned a White House run, writing, I'm not the kind of person who is willing to make
00:31the deals that must be made in order to be allowed to have the title. I'm not motivated by power and
00:37titles. Greene announced on Friday she will resign in January after a very public break with President
00:42Trump. Asked about that split over the weekend, here's how the president put it. I said go your
00:48own way and once I left her she resigned because she would never have survived a primary, but I
00:54think she's a nice person. One of Greene's most vocal critics, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett
01:00had this response to Greene stepping down. You're on the other side of the president for one week
01:06and you can't take the heat. Imagine what it is to sit in my shoes to not only be on the opposite
01:12side of him, but to have people like her who are constantly fanning the flames of hate and
01:18imagine what those threats look like when you literally are someone like me. All of this
01:24comes as Greene continues to claim she faced threats after Trump called her a traitor for
01:29supporting the release of the Epstein files and as speculation grows over what she does
01:34next, if anything, in politics.
