00:00A new war of words this morning between Marjorie Taylor Greene, Time magazine, even some of her own colleagues, all just days after she announced she's leaving Congress.
00:12Time reported over the weekend that Greene has privately told allies she's considering a run for president in 2028.
00:20In a lengthy post on X, Greene fired back, calling the story a complete lie and insisting she's never planned a White House run,
00:28writing, I'm not the kind of person who is willing to make the deals that must be made in order to be allowed to have the title.
00:35I'm not motivated by power and titles.
00:38Greene announced on Friday she will resign in January after a very public break with President Trump.
00:43Asked about that split over the weekend, here's how the president put it.
00:47I said go your own way and once I left her she resigned because she would never have survived a primary.
00:54But I think she's a nice person.
00:55One of Greene's most vocal critics, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, had this response to Greene stepping down.
