00:00Here's your breakdown of what to watch this weekend in THR's now screening.
00:04First, here's THR's chief TV critic Daniel Feinberg with his top pick of what you should check out.
00:09Netflix's Big Mouth perfectly captures the embarrassment, humiliation, and sheer grossness of adolescence.
00:16It's a show with an unflinching fascination with bodily functions,
00:20and a true empathy for the myriad ways that the middle school years are the worst years.
00:25In its fourth season, premiering this weekend, Big Mouth is as gleefully icky as ever.
00:31Plus, new episodes smartly tackle the recent recasting of one of its key characters.
00:37There are fantastic guest stars, and several of my favorite original songs to date.
00:42Even the recap of the third season is a winner.
00:45Hey, how's camp going for you?
00:46Absolutely terrible, you?
00:48That's the nightmare.
00:49Thanks, Daniel. Also on Netflix, Selena the Series is now streaming.
00:52But when I think about being on stage, and you on the bass, and Suzette on the drums, nothing else matters.
01:01Christian Serratos, who plays the late Tejano singer, told THR how the series is different from the 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez.
01:08I think what's great about our show is that it's a show, so it's much longer, and we're going to have all this time with Selena.
01:16You know, we're going to see her in her formative years. We're going to see her become the icon that we know today, and I think that's important.
01:24As far as films go, catch the marvelous Mrs. Maisel herself, Rachel Brosnahan, starring in I'm Your Woman, a film that she says implodes the crime drama genre.
01:32Why did art show me how to use a gun?
01:35I just thought you should be prepared for what comes next.
01:38What comes next?
01:39While her award-winning comedy series takes place in the late 50s and early 60s, I'm Your Woman is set in the 70s.
01:48THR asked Rachel, as an actor, which era does she like playing in more?
01:52I love them both for different reasons. I mean, they both have extraordinary music, beautiful, beautiful clothes.
01:59There's so many pieces of art and so many films that came out of both of those periods.
02:07It's really fun to be able to disappear into both of them, and to have been able to do both in one year was a dream come true.
02:15Rachel also gave THR an update on season four of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
02:19We have not started filming yet. Hopefully in January.
02:23I had one really incredible costume fitting.
02:25To be honest, I'm just as in the dark as everyone else. No beans have been spilled.
02:31I'm Your Woman is now in theaters and streaming on Amazon Prime Video December 11th.
02:35Until the next Now Screening, I'm Tiffany Taylor for The Hollywood Reporter News.
