00:43we haven't talked about but when it comes down to it both whanau want one thing the place that's going
00:51to grab our heart this time we're in tamaki makoto i'm with an adventurous couple who after sailing
01:03the world for 10 years are ready to trade in their yacht for a lock up and leave on dry land and i'm
01:09helping a family that have made the move from scotland to find their feet in the tough local
01:13property market and track down the perfect whare to raise their growing lad nice i like the idea
01:19of sailing around the world what a life just blasting off wherever you want to go it's quite
01:26terrifying at the same time though i watched jaws way too many times as a child and for me like even
01:32taking a bath was terrifying just as well we're staying on dry land today though the property market
01:38in tamaki makoto auckland can still be a bit choppy but with prices flattening and interest rates easing
01:45house hunters have a real shot at finding that perfect place to land the trick is knowing your
01:52priorities where you're willing to compromise and when you're willing to take that punt
01:59susan and jim dyer both teachers are originally from scotland and their story is a classic one for
02:05many new kiwis we had wanted to come to new zealand for a while i was on maternity leave after having
02:14james jim was wanting a break from work and so we came over for a year and we're still here eight years
02:22later they've done the hard yards gained their citizenship and now it's time to find somewhere
02:28permanent to call home for them and their beloved lab jenny we've moved four times four different
02:36rentals so james hasn't really been able to put down roots and we want to have that place that he can
02:42call his own i would like to be able to hang things on the wall and just have it without rent so i can do
02:53whatever i want with it and i think it's really just to give us a sense of permanency as well as a
03:00family that would really bring us together just ground us in the one place yep the dyers currently
03:08live in the east auckland suburb of mount wellington choose then do you want a look at this one we'd really
03:14like somewhere local to where we are just because james is involved in the football we both play for the
03:21local club james's school is local susan works at the same school as well my school's local big garden
03:28and also we really like having friends over and entertaining we're looking for somewhere where
03:35we've got a deck and some outdoor space where we can do that as well
03:41of course there's a bit more on the wish list space for james and for the dog outside and a man cave
03:47for me yes i like watching football and because it's scottish football it's only like three three
03:54in the morning thank you thank you so it'd be nice to have somewhere quiet that i'm not interrupting
04:02anybody else one thing they do agree on how to describe the property market in aotearoa
04:08daunting that's exactly the word i was about to say ah there you go it's just because it's so unknown
04:17in scotland you buy a house that's it the land's yours the house is yours whereas here you know it's
04:22auctions and negotiation and it's freehold and leasehold and cross lease and things it's just a minefield
04:29yeah good thing i've navigated a few property minefields before paul's got local knowledge

04:48well um thank you you're welcome i'm so excited because you come from one of my favorite places
04:58in the world oh it's good to hear i love scotland but the scotch definitely helps at the moment you're
05:07living central auckland mount wellington yeah and so in your destination postcode surrounding suburbs
05:15yeah ellerslie mount wellington that kind of area would be perfect what's important about that
05:20area to you we've not got any family here in new zealand so our family's really the friends that
05:25we've picked up along the way yeah um and that's what's really important to us and that's why you
05:30know some of the requirements in the house was an entertainment area yeah deck garden anything else
05:36well i would like a tree for a tree house do you hear that santa so how much am i shopping with
05:45probably we're looking 900s yeah yes yes if it was a perfect property we could possibly go above
05:52that at 950. i'd like a good challenge james yeah i know i'm still holding my breath central auckland
05:59three bedrooms indoor outdoor flow are you up for this challenge paul james challenge accepted
06:07we've sealed the deal i've got to do it now don't i yeah absolutely cheers let's go shopping
06:15the dyers have a max budget of 950 000 which tightens the search in their preferred suburbs of
06:21mount wellington and ellerslie they're looking for three bedrooms and indoor outdoor flow for entertaining
06:27the path to finding the right home is very really straightforward as life moves on so do our
06:37priorities and what we look for in a home can change with each new chapter for some it's more
06:43about space for others less to manage whatever the reason the key is knowing what matters most in the
06:50journey ahead the tide began to turn for lee and larry back in 2016 when with their two sons grown and gone
07:01they watched holiday makers drift by on yachts from their spacious whangarei home you see them all going
07:08past and you're thinking why aren't i out there i really enjoyed it out there did you bring the fishing
07:15lines we never catch anything anyway the couple thought they'd landed on their dream lifestyle we
07:23built this wonderful place that we were going to retire to when adventure called house went on the
07:30market and we decided to go to the med and buy a boat up in the med and sail around up there and bring
07:37the home it wasn't long before they were soaking up everything the mediterranean had to offer
07:45greek islands the turkish coastline the food and the culture the journey home wasn't all sunshine
07:52and roses i'll have a rock yet the wonders of the open ocean left them utterly spellbound
07:59then the dolphins come around the boat they're just like torpedoes that are coming through the
08:03water and it was just yeah an amazing experience so we'll put in two to three bedrooms
08:09and only hunger after not one but two epic voyages from europe to aotearoa and close to a decade of life
08:17at sea lee and larry were ready to feel solid ground beneath their feet again and how much are we going
08:24to spend well at least for the time being i'm probably going to go back to work full time so we're looking
08:32for a place for the five years or so that i go back to work but then we also want the flexibility in
08:38the new home that we can just lock and leave and go to australia for our winters perhaps or sail up to
08:44the pacific a nice little place it's got a garden out the front in terms of picking the perfect postcode
08:52that's still a work in progress perhaps around the onihanga mount halbert kind of areas we've got
09:00family and papataui too so it'd be nice to be close to family i don't want to go to tap papataui
09:07i'm sorry i'm not going to papataui some of these things we haven't talked about
09:17with the odd difference of opinion charting a course to the perfect vault hole for these seasoned
09:22sailors might be easier said than done oh hello hi guys nice to meet you how are you we need jane's
09:30help to find us the place that's going to grab our heart you guys have been living the dream how amazing
09:40it has been an incredible 10 years of sailing the seas so the time has come where you need to put down
09:46some roots in the soil so to speak somewhere we can call home we've had a little look around but it's
09:53pretty difficult so that's where you come into it what do you need for your lifestyle at least two
10:02bedroom um ideally three i'd like to set up one of the rooms as a home office i'd like a couple of
10:09bathrooms at least any deal breakers that i should be aware of not a deal breaker but i want a open
10:16plain center island kitchen so that it kind of mimics the boat a little bit we also did guide dog
10:23puppies before we went away puppy walking for the blind awesome larry might get back into doing that
10:29again so a little bit of garden i think must be hard giving those puppies away well no you get another
10:34one straight away so how much money of yours have i got to spend well we're looking at around about
10:41the million preferably down the 900 but i like the butt if something's really great we can stretch it
10:49a little bit more but how stretchy am i not very stretchy probably about 1.2 would be don't worry about him
11:00it would have to be something really special to stretch as far as 1.2 there's a lot out there in
11:05that price bracket and a lot of different properties i think we just have to trust the process here
11:10and have an open mind we're in your hands and looking forward to seeing what you bring for us time
11:16for me to find some land ahoy let's find something okay let's go lee and larry are after a two to three
11:25bedroom home to call their own they want two bathrooms an open plan kitchen and a small outdoor
11:32area their budget is somewhere between 900 000 and 1.2 million now i just need to find a home they're
11:40both going to fall in love with finding the right home without blowing the budget is always a challenge
11:55it often means rethinking your wish list and being clever about compromise
12:01i'm helping a whanau from scotland find their very own three bedroom slice of kiwi paradise
12:06and i'm guiding a pair of globe trotting adventurers who've decided it's time to drop anchor
12:15so how are you going with your family i'm going to be honest jane i've got my work cut out
12:20beautiful family absolutely love them they've just got their citizenship
12:24now i've got a budget of 900 000 for a central city home i know well i've got an interesting dilemma
12:33great couple larry is kind of around the 900k mark whereas lee is like quite comfortable at 1.2
12:40oh kind of feels like mission impossible really doesn't it well we'll both have to devise a cunning
12:46plan to get these guys into the house that they want for the budget they have that's our mission yes
12:52you're going to leave now and do the tom cruise run i can do the tom cruise run here we go
13:07and my first mission should i choose to accept it is in mount wellington
13:13with its green spaces great shopping and easy access to central auckland
13:18this suburb is a firm favorite with families the average sale price here is around 960 000
13:25just over the dyer's upper limit
13:29but where there's a will there's a way if you asked for a home that has yard and we found some yard
13:38here it is oh wow yeah that looks great is that enough garage windows yeah that's
13:45quite a good bit of garage yes that could be my mind key there's a tree james how are you feeling so
13:51far yes yes after you thank you
13:58this solid and generously sized three-bedroom home on a leafy residential street offers a light-filled
14:04living area looking out into a fully fenced yard perfect for ginny the lab a separate dining room and
14:11double garage mean there's space for the whole family the property isn't officially on the market
14:16yet and the vendors are open to negotiation the rv is just over a million but there's a chance to
14:22nudge it a little closer to within jim and susan's reach it's a nice size living room isn't it it's nice
14:28and spacious yeah and you've got a lovely dining area as well or a second living yeah um that's just a
14:34imagine that sitting in front of that and the kitchen have a look around i've got a good feeling
14:43about this one big yard tick that box got inside it's light and airy and susan absolutely love that
14:52but are those bedrooms big enough this could be your room james no cupboards away so you need to put in
14:59the storage this could be another bedroom yeah it's a teeny wee wardrobe oh my goodness and another
15:09bedroom yeah no sockets no sockets no power sockets there's one there one there one power socket i think
15:17this is maybe not quite big enough for the furniture that we have in our bedroom lots of storage space in
15:25the garage but not for clothes it's a shame okay so let's go and give the bad news to paul then
15:39i'm so excited we went inside love the yard build a tree house nice and spacious we loved the living
15:46room love the light yeah the size of it that we could see ourselves entertaining there but the bedrooms
15:53were just too small what does james think let's just go to the most important member of the family
16:00well yeah the bedrooms are too small looking forward to what we see next look look at that yeah property
16:07number two come on let's go well paul you called it they weren't sold on the bedrooms but everything
16:13else got the tick thanks jane here's hoping the next one's a better fit
16:18with property prices in a holding pattern and more homes hitting the market each day there's never
16:26been a better time to be a cash buyer and with a healthy nest egg from the sale of their last home
16:33lee and larry are in a strong position to spot a bargain no this is why we need help
16:40if they can agree on what that looks like but i'm hoping we'll strike gold in epsom one of tamaki makoto's
16:49most sought-after suburbs its central location heritage architecture and abundance of gorgeous parks
16:56makes it easy to see why an average house price tipping over 2.1 million means it's not for the
17:03faint-hearted so lee and larry's million dollar ballpark might seem like a stretch but if you
17:11know where to look there's still space to strike a deal and this little townhouse tucked away in a
17:16private lane could be it wow we're in the heart of auckland and if you do want to blast off overseas
17:25then your home's going to be secure while you're away so what are our first thoughts
17:30uh close to navet but it's a great location when you get inside and shut the front door
17:36you're tucked away okay see inside ready larry
17:43this easy care lock up and leave townhouse might be just the lucky break lee and larry have been waiting
17:49for inside it's deceptively spacious three bedrooms two bathrooms and that open plan kitchen they were
17:57hoping for and out the back is a bonus they were probably not expecting i'm confident that this
18:03place would fall within the range of their maximum budget and in this part of town it's definitely worth
18:09a closer look wow oh wow this really opens up doesn't it nice and light nice and light yeah tree out there
18:18it's a nice outlook so is this what you were expecting no no not at all yeah the kitchen
18:26it's a bit bigger than the galley isn't it it's a big kitchen yeah should we go and check out the
18:32balcony yes yep definitely you'd love that hey that's all common area very nice outlook great space for a dog
18:43um well i'm gonna let you guys go and explore the rest of the house without me on your tail i might
18:50get lost just hold up i'll find you all right all right thank you
18:57a nice view from in the master bedroom too looks like they're warming up now they're inside bedroom
19:05two bedroom three smooth sailing from here do you think jane this is a nice size that we could turn
19:11into an office before when i'm working from home steady on sailor i'm not cracking the champagne just
19:17yet i actually have no idea how this is going to go i do want to get them a lock up and leave because
19:23they are essentially travelers but those two are used to having ocean on this side and ocean on this side
19:30having neighbors on either side of them could be a challenge time for the moment of truth
19:37right you too spill the beans what are your thoughts love the location and the layout of it
19:47something tells me there's a butt coming i'd like it a stand-alone place actually i just want that
19:56space where i've got my little bit of grass it really ticks the box for me well lucky i've got two other
20:02houses up my sleeve looks like lee and larry are also going to keep me on my toes but this hunt
20:12isn't over not by a long shot the dia whanau moved to aotearoa new zealand from scotland eight years ago
20:28they're done with renting and are ready to put down roots and make some memories in a home of their own
20:34the first house we checked had loads of living space but the bedrooms a bit on the snug side i'm not
20:40looking dressed in the garage so far they've been searching close to home in mount wellington
20:45but i reckon it's time to nudge them just a little outside of their comfort zone so we're heading to
20:50the western side of central auckland new windsor is about a half hour drive from mount wellington where
20:57the dyers live now but it's still in a fairly central spot just next to mount albert it offers quiet
21:02streets and laid-back charm and while the average house price sits at around 1.2 million which might feel
21:09like a stretch there's still smart buys to be found among the stock of classic 1960s homes
21:17well i bet you're wondering why i brought you here outside the postcode it is outside the postcode you're
21:23right but actually i took a bit of a punt when we're in ellerslie mount wellington
21:29i'm almost certain we couldn't find what i'm about to show you here
21:34for your money okay okay oh wow wow
21:41yeah i love the look it's nice isn't it yes look at those trees there you'd certainly
21:48get a hammock in there you get a hammock
21:51small treehouse this is your quintessential kiwi home i'm excited good yes let's take that excitement
21:58inside absolutely this three-bedroom weatherboard beauty sits proudly on 600 square meters of freehold
22:06land in a family-friendly street it's move-in ready with plenty of potential for a modern refresh
22:13plus there's a generous backyard for ginny the lab and a separate garage this could be the moment where
22:20opportunity knocks for one lucky buyer oh wow wow it's a nice wee room isn't it smaller than the
22:32other one but it's yes it's still a nice space isn't it of course there's the kitchen i like the setup
22:38of the kitchen because it's all so open this home is going to auction where it lands we don't know but
22:44definitely within the ballpark of your budget that's for sure oh yeah excellent that's good news
22:48well i guess i should leave you to it we'll try not to change our minds good fingers crossed thank you

23:03kitchen around almost i'm rattled because i love this home it's gorgeous but i just don't know if they're
23:12gonna be able to get their head around the postcode and what that means as far as schools are concerned
23:18and i wonder if the wardrobes are going to be big enough on this one
23:23it's a wee bit deeper yep so far so good i don't mean to be repetitive oh but there's only one socket

23:49compromise for being further again from all our friends for this house possibly maybe possibly maybe

24:21out of my misery no no we like it we really like the house and we think the land that you get is
24:27amazing wow um because we don't know the area i think we'd have to have a bit of a drive around and

24:57across the other side of tamaki makoto auckland i'm looking for a home with its foundations firmly
25:03on the ground the first house had promise wow but was missing a key feature i just want that space
25:10where i've got my little bit of grass so for house number two i'm also going to change tack we're
25:16going to switch it up completely right and lee's already spotted something she likes about this
25:21neighborhood then the marina down right in front of you having half moon bay marina in the area is
25:26potentially a big bonus if lee and larry can moor their boat there and just a stone's throw away in
25:34the eastern reaches of the city lies farm cove which is a tranquil well-established suburb the average
25:41house price sits around 1.75 million but there are still pockets of potential for buyers on a tighter
25:48budget and i've found a tidy brick and tile on a quiet street that might just cover all the bases
25:55what are we thinking team well it's a complete house big tick can't wait to see inside it let's
26:03have a look the solid 70s stunner has had a smart modern makeover inside
26:12with three bedrooms one bathroom plus plenty of space for fostering guide dog puppies
26:18it boasts an elevator view over wetlands where a walkway takes you all the way to the sea
26:23and with a sale by negotiation i'm hoping we can strike a deal that keeps everyone smiling
26:32oh wow oh it's nice and bright isn't it yeah it's quite a view out there yeah
26:41you're on your own now okay this is nice i like the bench top
26:47oh wow look at that shower gee that's nice and big oh that's twosome certainly bigger than
26:55anything we had on the boat well they're making all the right noises i think i've nailed it but
27:01i've said that before this property is what they ordered this is a freehold site and they've got this
27:08beautiful view nice look out to the mangroves and across that walkway so on the street though there
27:18is only one bathroom but it does have a separate toilet so that might work for them it's quite a bit
27:23of lawn for a dog yeah you could have a barbecue here actually hey i'm feeling really good about this
27:31time to find out the verdict well you've seen the whole house you've circumnavigated the section
27:41how are we feeling it's a beautifully presented home nice and light and bright and we would love
27:48to live close to marina but it's not speaking to me and saying this is the one okay as they say
27:56you've got to give the feels yeah what about you larry have you got the feels um i like it as well
28:02the next bathroom i think yes it's a big factor i was worried about that yeah really like three
28:08bathrooms we're going up a bathroom we may have to compromise a bit on the size of the land in order
28:16to get everything that you want inside the house there's something out there for you i can feel it in
28:21my bones both hands this time wow these two are tough customers i've got one more shot to find the
28:33perfect fit and i think i've got just the place that could finally get the nod from both of them

28:50to the new zealand housing market and you've no idea what we're doing so we're looking for
28:54any guidance you can give us before we make that first purchase absolutely the key thing would be
29:00do your due diligence a property lawyer can help you work through that and make sure you're going
29:04in well informed on the property regardless of its condition before you commit to purchase
29:09could you give us some advice on that you want to look at getting a pre-purchase inspection report
29:14so something like a builder's report that can be helpful in telling you a bit about the home
29:19what construction materials were used and it can highlight areas of potential pre-existing damage
29:25or gradual damage poll showed us a couple of properties already and i know that one of them
29:30goes to auction what do we need to do before you may want to look at obtaining a limb report this is
29:36information that the local council holds about the land such as natural hazards water services and
29:41drainage and a record of title this is property specific information that can identify any
29:47restrictions on the property and talk to your insurer before committing to that purchase as
29:52different insurers will have different eligibility criteria finally as another support resource you've
29:57got the buyer's guide available for you online as well that's been super helpful wonderful thank you
30:06i'm scouring tamaki makaurau to find larry and lee a place to finally drop anchor and while the first
30:13two properties haven't quite hit the mark a next bathroom i think is a big factor i'm hopeful we'll
30:19find everything their hearts desire in house number three so we're heading to beachlands just a 35 minute
30:26ferry ride from downtown auckland with beautiful beaches and pine harbour marina on its doorstep it's a
30:32gorgeous spot for my sailors to settle down and potentially have their yacht nearby
30:37the average sale price here is just over 1.5 million but with a variety of new developments
30:44springing up there's every chance of finding something that fits the bill all right this is yours
30:55we are joined on either side i know that i can see that larry and i talked about that this morning that
31:01we realize that we all have to make compromises so if it ticks all the other boxes then perhaps
31:08that's not a big issue all right well should we just stop getting wet out here and actually go inside
31:13yeah we should do all right here we go why don't you come in out of the rain and warm the place up for
31:17you oh fantastic oh that sounds good come on this elegantly finished townhouse on a recently developed
31:25street is just four years old and comes with every modern convenience lee and larry could wish for
31:32with four generous bedrooms two and a half bathrooms and a private outdoor garden there's more than
31:39enough room for guests and guide dog puppies alike it's for sale by negotiation but i've got a little bit of
31:47intel so i think this could be the one that finally gives these intrepid travelers oh wow that feeling of
31:55home they've been chasing this is nice good jane was saying that you uh have a weeper short for uh a
32:05kitchen island yes yes very much so tick tick yeah and it's only just a moment's drive away from the
32:13marina i know yep time for me to take lee on a tour while the boys check out the guest wing so bedroom
32:24number one which i thought would be the perfect office yes yep i agree wow master bedroom
32:33again again it's ticking the boxes yay and on the street lovely size yeah it's not small at all
32:43well lee seems to be loving it but i wonder if the bathrooms are up to larry's standards
32:50oh yes oh that's nice i think everybody always dreams of having a good soak whether it ever happens
32:56or not our bath is quite nice yeah nice smell isn't it it's really lovely yeah no cool how are you
33:05feeling jane out of all the feedback they've given me this is exactly what they want if they don't know
33:11the price yet though and this is upper end really isn't it larry and lee have a different upper end but
33:16then if lee loves the kitchen because you know happy wife happy life i mean what man's going to say no to
33:22that exactly that's my strategy i like it it's a bloody good strategy
33:30what do you think oh it's lovely it's a beautiful home i could see myself i could see myself here as
33:37well i'm curious to know whether it's in budget or not i'm very curious we won't know until we ask okay

34:05a four bedroom home it doesn't feel like we're downsizing you know essentially you're a three
34:12bedroom upstairs you've got an office downstairs if you take out the bed um a lovely separate wing
34:16for guests larry was already taking a bath excuse me i liked it i like it i like the bathrooms i like
34:25pretty well everything about it actually no it ticks all the bottles it really does is there a but
34:32price ah what do you think it's worth maybe 1.3 a listing price is 1.1

35:251.2 million but you never know your luck hello hello hi oh this is so lovely i've been waiting to

35:40by foot my hairdresser lives right there that's most important absolutely yes we know this area
35:45really well and so yeah this feels really comfortable for us and there's a nice family
35:50home for you guys to get set your roots down so well i think without further ado we should
35:54probably head inside what do you think yeah let's go right down the end of a private driveway this
36:03hidden gem is an entertainer's dream there's open plan living a freshly renovated kitchen and a massive
36:10north-facing deck with three good-sized bedrooms there's plenty of space for them to grow into
36:17and with auction day just around the corner i'm hopeful this could be the place that they will get to call
36:22home oh wow look at this garden now this is a decent deck yes i like that it comes straight
36:32into the deck as well it's like a nice welcome spot yeah tree house dog house
36:38well this is great it's a very good start yeah good stuff should we have a look inside
36:51wow nice wooden floors and if you wanted to get fancy you could always put some french doors or

40:02how i did after our little tour of the three properties that i showed you this week property number one
40:14quite nice and spacious inside but i felt a bit sort of crammed in either side of us yeah now property

40:22i liked it because it was standing by itself but only one bathroom was a big one for me i'd like

40:40i can't get property number three out of my head yes it's absolutely everything i wanted
40:47it except it's four bedrooms what's an extra bedroom amongst friends an extra bedroom isn't the be
40:55all and end all of it it is a good problem to have yep and then of course the price that was uh
41:01poor not what i was thinking i could tell thousands less lots of thousands less oh i'm thrilled to know
41:07that one of the properties really resonated with you guys the agent rang me this morning to see what
41:11your interest level was we are very we're very interested okay yes i think we'd have to do a little bit
41:16more homework on the marina if they do get any offers would you like me to keep you in the loop

41:39yet but the good news is after looking at a variety of options lee and larry are much clearer on
41:45what they really want and where they want to be the dia whanau want a place to call home in aotearoa
41:54house one showed potential but had one sticking point the bedrooms are too small house three on the
42:00other hand seemed to tick all the boxes oh hello there hello how are you i'm excited oh good how are you
42:10going i'm excited we're nervous okay right i reckon we should unpack all this yeah don't worry that
42:17the session's free um hopefully it won't cost you too much if you know what i mean yeah um talk me
42:23through property number one property number one was within the area that we're already in which that
42:28was great and there was definitely that wow factor when we arrived with the big yards and the lovely big
42:35windows unfortunately the bedrooms were just a little bit small and not any built-in storage so
42:42we kind of discounted it initially but we re-evaluated after the second viewing um and we thought well we
42:50could turn that third bedroom into a dressing room so we could put um cupboards in there yeah for all the
42:54clothes when you start to move furniture around and imagine yourself in a space that's a good emotional
43:00connection right yeah yeah and then i surprised you uh with a bit of a journey yes outside of your
43:09postcode in your comfort zone yeah talk us through property number two loved the house loved the land
43:18but um i think it underlined how important the postcode was for us like being near our friends our kiwi
43:24family yeah and it wasn't until we saw that second house that that really secured that for us yeah
43:30it's good to have that that confirmation of where you know you need to be that segues really nicely
43:38into property number three because property number three is a short walk to the very short walk yes
43:46we liked property number three very much it was that welcoming deck and the entertaining space and
43:52being able to have friends over it's really close to everything so it's yeah pretty ideal so if we
44:00park property number two we've got property number one and property number three was there a conclusion
44:06between those two properties yes and no we are actually going to go to auction on tuesday for
44:13property number three so we're trying to get our ducks in a row here fantastic moment and if that
44:18doesn't work out um we're looking at property one as well i think that's the first time on the show
44:27i've actually had a win and a backup win yeah oh well glad to do it please i hope you can make tuesday
44:40the dyers gave it a good go at the auction for house number three but it wasn't their day in the
44:44end they decided to move on from property number one but that's not the end of their house hunting
44:50journey they've just bought a three-bedroom home in mount wellington with plenty of entertaining space
44:56and a dog park just over the road for ginny here's to the dyers next exciting chapter
45:05as for lee and larry house number three didn't quite seal the deal and their search is on pause while they
45:10take a break in australia when they return they'll be ready to hit the ground running with fresh eyes
45:16and a real sense of what home could look like
