00:00How does it feel to return to the Oscars?
00:02Oh, fabulous. It's always great.
00:04You never know what's going to happen.
00:06I mean, a couple of years ago we were here and somebody slapped somebody.
00:09So it was fascinating.
00:11Oh, you look surprised. You don't remember?
00:13I do remember, but you just reminded me.
00:16You never know what's going to happen.
00:19Not only that, I just love seeing all these celebrities.
00:23I don't know most of them.
00:26Well, you know, we don't.
00:27People assume that we're all friends and all that.
00:30We're not. We don't know each other.
00:32So, you know, if that happens and there's someone I love,
00:35I go over and introduce myself.
00:39I mean, I just got to meet that person.
00:42And, you know, I'm always kind of a little surprised when they,
00:45yes, I know who you are.
00:46And I think, wow.
00:48Have you done that to anyone here yet tonight?
00:51No, I've been too busy doing this tonight.
00:53But you can imagine that I will be.
00:56You know, once we're in the audience when they're doing a commercial,
00:59if I see someone I just love, I'm not above going over and introducing myself.
01:06And you have a new film coming out.
01:07What can you tell me about it?
01:08It's called The Prank, P-R-A-N-K.
01:11And it's about the world's meanest woman.
01:15She's a snake.
01:16No joke.
01:17No joke.
01:18It's really, it's a cult movie.
01:20And she, I play this woman who is as mean as a snake.
01:24Fernanda will tell you.
01:25She's the high school teacher, literally, that everyone loves to hate
01:28and is scared to death of and fails everybody.
01:31Yes, she's the kind of, exactly, she's the kind of teacher who,
01:35when one person makes a mistake in class, the entire class has to pay for it.
01:40She's awful.
01:42I love doing it.
01:44That's amazing.
01:45And you're no stranger to the Oscars.
01:46Where do you keep your Oscar?
01:48It's in my den.
01:52Not the living room.
01:53The den.
01:54Did you keep the envelope as well?
01:57No.
01:57Oh, boy.
01:58I wish I had known then.
01:59Who thinks?
02:01I mean, I really had no idea I was going to win.
02:03None.
02:04None.
02:05None.
02:05What's one memory you have from that night?
02:09Well, a funny story.
02:10Joan Crawford was the co-hostess.
02:13And she was married at the time to a man who was Mr. Pepsi Cola.
02:19So she had a Pepsi cooler in her dressing room just off stage.
02:24And in the cooler was also some vodka.
02:27And she was feeling no pain.
02:29Let's just put it that way.
02:31And I got off the stage and I started to cry.
02:35And she started to hug me and wouldn't let me go because there was a photographer there.
02:40And she wouldn't let me go.
02:41She wouldn't let me go.
02:43And literally they had to pull me away from her because this was her one opportunity to be with a winner.
02:51Yeah.
02:52Very odd.
02:53That's a wild story.
02:55For you, what is it like being here with your mom tonight on a night like this?
02:58It's absolutely thrilling.
03:01And I'm just so happy for her.
03:03Like her career is a juggernaut at 92.
03:07I mean, and here she is.
03:08And here we are.
03:09And I'm very pleased, honored.
03:11Yeah.
03:12And look what I made.
03:14I had a little help.
03:16I had a little help.
03:18But look, isn't this.
03:20She's my date everywhere at all these big events.
03:22Now that I'm widowed, Fernanda is my date almost always.
03:27I love that so much.
03:28And one last question.
03:29You're presenting tonight.
03:30Can you share who you're presenting?
03:31No.
03:32America.
03:33We can't wait to see.
03:35How's that?
03:36I'm not allowed to.
