At the THR X TikTok Awards Weekend Party, Diane Warren tells THR on the carpet how excited she gets about the Oscars, saying she stays up "all night" waiting for the nominations to come out. Plus, she dishes on performing with Sofia Carson at the ceremony last year and how nerve-racking that was for her.

00:02No, it's never old hat. It's always new hat. I love it.

00:06I'm honestly grateful just to be a part of it.

00:09It's the 15th time and it could be my first time.

00:12I mean, I stay up all night waiting for the nominations.

00:15I just am hearing my song, the name of my song. I already won.

00:20When you learned that this song from Flamin' Hot was nominated,

00:23your 15th nomination, what was your reaction?

00:25Just jump up and down, screaming. Yeah.

00:30Now, what can we expect from the performance on Sunday?

00:33I was at the rehearsal today. It's going to be amazing. It's going to be amazing.

00:36Are you going to be on stage at all?

00:37No, not this. I was last year with Sophia Carson.

00:41And that was, I was so nervous. She wasn't nervous last year.

00:45We're standing there about to go on. I go, are you nervous?

00:46She goes, no. I go, well, I'm nervous enough for the two of us

00:49and everybody else here that's nervous.

00:53So Becky's going to kill it.

00:56I was going to ask, which do you like better, being a part of the performance

00:58or getting to sit in the audience and watch someone perform this creation of yours?

01:02I think I'd rather be in the audience. It's less nerve-wracking.

01:05You know, it's like, if I'm watching it, I'm not going, oh my God, what if I mess up the chord?

01:09You know, what if I fuck it all up?

01:12You know, we're not live on anywhere, right?

01:14You know, which is easy for me to fuck things up.

01:16I'm not a great musician.

01:19I always love your fashion. Do you know what you're wearing on Sunday?

01:22Do you have it picked out?

01:23This, um, um, someone made me a suit and I got, I have to, I don't know his name,

01:28but that day I will know his name so I can let people know.

01:31It's the first time I've ever had someone make me an outfit for the Oscars.

01:35That feels like good luck, good mojo.

01:38It could be. It's going to be, well, I'm going to look, the suit's going to look good.

01:42It's really cool. It's very, um, it's very on brand for this.

01:47Let's put it that way.

01:48I love that. We can't wait to see it.

01:49Of course, there were so many amazing movies this year.

01:52When it comes to Best Picture on Sunday, who are you rooting for?

01:55I don't want to say because I know different people that made different movies.

01:59So if I say, I had my favorites.

02:02I guess the question is then, what's one film you saw this year that you especially love?

02:06It doesn't have to be your favorite.

02:08I love Flamin' Hot. I did.

02:11And I wish, honestly, you know what, I wish it was in theaters.

02:14It was in theaters long enough to be eligible, but that's a theater movie.

02:17Because, you know, especially the Latin audience doesn't have a lot of, you know,

02:21of great movies, and you would have cheered in the theaters.

02:24You know, it's always best to, you know, see it in a theater, not in your house.

02:29I mean, some movies are made better for that,

02:31but one of the ones that you could just, it's a communal experience.
