00:00Previously, on The Last Woodsmoke, Jared Douglas scrambles to fund a bid on an opportunity
00:23of a lifetime.
00:26A forever claim is the right to harvest that timber as long as your business stays in business.
00:33This is the holy grail.
00:36But while racing to harvest and haul big timber to the barge.
00:39The wood has to get in the water.
00:41So we really need to move fast.
00:43Setbacks threaten to destroy his future.
00:47Come on, you son of a .
00:49It's toast, man.
00:51When we lose a machine outright, it hurts.
00:55It's like a man down in the army.
00:58Everything's lying on my shoulders.
00:59I have to keep going forward.
01:01I have to push forward.
01:02Roll with the punches.
01:04It's how you handle the chaos is going to measure if you're going to be successful or not in
01:08this business.
01:21Ready?
01:22I'm going to load the trailer back on.
01:40Go get another load.
01:44In full throttle for the past six days, it's an all-out scramble for the Cypress Creek crew.
01:51Just 48 hours remain until the deadline to fund the forever claim bid.
01:57To avoid defaulting, Jared must splash and barge enough big timber to secure the final $200,000.
02:04I got to get some extra loads into the water and ready for the log barge.
02:15Let's go get that money.
02:18Since the loss of a yarder last week, Jared hopes another fat truck will make up for time.
02:24This one with him at the wheel.
02:27We all got to pull on the rope.
02:29We all got to get this thing done.
02:32One of my mentors once told me you can never pay a man for a job that you can't do.
02:37I've done exactly what every single person in my company has done.
02:42There's a brotherhood in logging.
02:45You live it.
02:46You work within it.
02:48They become your family.
02:50I look at the people that rely on me.
02:53I can't quit.
02:54I have to keep going.
02:56And my crew knows that.
02:58They know that I'm going to be out there hustling.
03:03We're hauling about a 15-mile haul right now.
03:07You know, we'll get three loads a day per truck.
03:10Three loads.
03:11That's a substantial amount of money.
03:17Whew.
03:18There's a loader.
03:21You out here, right?
03:25Hey, do you got a turnout there or do I got a...
03:30Oh, the one right behind you.
03:33Not much of one.
03:38To low timber, the 35-ton hauler must be backed in, avoiding a 1,000-foot drop on one side.
03:47That's where you got to give the road builder s***.
03:57Just because you can turn a pickup truck around doesn't mean you can turn a logging truck around.
04:02Here, get the back of it, buddy.
04:09Okay, here we go.
04:12I don't see that big sexy red log loader in the back.
04:19Let's get there.
04:32And there we go.
04:34Locked and loaded.
04:36We're going to try to get an 80-ton load.
04:38Get a few minutes sleep.
04:40Life of a truck driver.
04:46Further up the mountain.
04:57Oh, pretty steep, Jim.
05:01Fallers Jim Gardner and Rob Winger push higher into the untapped wilds of big cedar country.
05:13What in the f***?
05:15But a winter storm has left this face a wind-blown mess.
05:22There's a mountain of debris.
05:24Yup.
05:25Big time.
05:26Pacific gales can bring winds in excess of 90 miles per hour, causing widespread destruction and a whole host of problems for fallers.
05:38It's hit all these tops that are around us and broke a bunch of branches off.
05:42On top of that, the tops of these trees are all lying around the wood that we want to get at.
05:46There's going to be a few problems with this, but it looks like we have lots of really tall timber.
05:51Holy shnikes.
05:56Look at this.
05:58It looks like a pretty nice piece of wood.
06:01The heavy leaner cedar, it's kind of lean and heavy.
06:04Heavy at the rock bluff, not so much at the hill.
06:08If it's solid, that's a beautiful piece of wood.
06:11Jesus.
06:13It's not going to be fun getting an escape trail through all this s***.
06:17Especially for a 50-year-old.
06:20The last 30 years, I've been outside pretty much every day.
06:25I used to be the kid on the crew.
06:28And now it's like, holy s***, I'm the old man.
06:31And why am I still doing it?
06:33I love it.
06:35Plus, I don't have enough money to retire.
06:37The way I want to retire, I want to buy a big farm and just relax with a bunch of animals that I can shoot and eat.
06:44What do you think, Jim?
06:48There's just so much wrong with this.
06:51Outside of being hit by all these trees, we've got ground debris.
06:56When this comes down and hits this, this stuff's going to teeter-totter everywhere.
07:03Across the rock is not really an option.
07:06Down there is definitely not an option.
07:09Falling across that rock is not an option.
07:10I think my best bet is to follow them up here.
07:13But to do that, I've got to follow it across all this blowdown in here.
07:17Right there, there's two broken ends on top of the blowdown.
07:20That's a pivot point to flick these 30-foot logs at me.
07:23This 150-foot-tall leaning tower of cedar is positioned to fall straight up the hill onto rocks and stumps that could destroy its value.
07:36Instead, Rob will aim his undercut 45 degrees across the hill and onto a softer bed of debris.
07:44But with so much blowdown, there's also a high risk of blowback.
07:49It could hit that chunk right there.
07:53You're hiding behind the cedar, but it flips the top of that chunk back at you.
07:57I know a faller that he fell a tree, got out on his escape trail, was standing on the end of a windfall.
08:05The tree hit that windfall, pivoted, and launched him about 30-40 feet in the air.
08:10I can't remember what he broke, but it was a lot of bones.
08:13I definitely do not want that happening.
08:16So I'm going to have to...
08:19There's a good pivot point right there.
08:20I'll buck that right there.
08:21Try and buck this limbs and this windfall down, and then I'll work on an escape trail.
08:26I think that's what I'm going to have to do.
08:34We've got our work cut out for us.
08:36Back near float cam.
08:52Oh yeah.
08:54Foreman Ross Davis and mechanic Adrian Bailey inspect the remains of the grapple yarder to determine how much can be salvaged.
09:01Cabs torched?
09:03Cabs ruined.
09:04Oh yeah.
09:05Windows are all out.
09:06Glass everywhere.
09:08I feel bad for the machine because I love these pieces of equipment.
09:11That's what really brought me into this industry was how interesting and unique this West Coast equipment is.
09:16And it's not exactly pleasurable for me to watch it burn to the ground.
09:21At 120 tons, there's up to 30 grand in scrap steel and parts that can be sold.
09:27And if Adrian and Ross can avoid any more damage, the extra cash could mean the difference between Jared funding or defaulting on his bid.
09:30All right, well, first things first. Let's get this thing on the ground.
09:47Our initial plan of attack is to cut the boom up.
09:50Okay. Hang on here.
09:54There is a cable. It's called the topping line and that holds it anchored to the rest of the machine.
09:59And we are going to cut that line.
10:02It's hazardous as we are dropping a 20 ton boom to the ground.
10:08And Ross being the second set of eyes for me is going to be crucial.
10:12All right, Slough, be careful.
10:18Ready?
10:20Oh, God.
10:22The biggest concern of dropping this boom is the cables.
10:25Once that starts going and unwind them, it's going to be whipping all over the place.
10:29And that'll snap you and take your head off in a matter of seconds.
10:42The variable is less.
10:45The variable is less.
10:46No!
10:47Oh!
10:49Oh!
10:50Oh!
10:51Oh!
11:01Oh!
11:04Oh!
11:08Oh!
11:09Didn't see that one coming.
11:20What caught up?
11:22The tail up in the shiv up there.
11:25No.
11:26That didn't go as well as planned.
11:29Okay, we've just created basically a booby trap.
11:33Ay-yi-yi.
11:36There's not really any safe way to cut this again.
11:39Now we have an uncontrolled, massively heavy load hanging over the ground like that.
11:45We have to neutralize this, for sure, immediately.
11:51We're in a hurry.
11:52A barge is coming and they can't be delayed.
11:55This one's taking a little longer than expected.
11:58Okay, well I got an idea.
12:00We'll get the excavator.
12:02Try smacking it down and it should pull through there, I would think.
12:07Yeah.
12:08What could go wrong?
12:09A lot.
12:15I trust Ross fully and when we work together, I just know that he's not gonna get me injured or anything like that.
12:21He's a really good operator.
12:23That's as high as I can go.
12:25He's watching out for me while I work around him and together working on this thing, we'll get it dismantled fast.
12:31If that thing's jammed in there that well, it might not let go.
12:51Please go.
12:58Son of a...
13:01Back in the high country.
13:08Fallers Jim and Rob are battling blowdown for a cedar worth up to $25,000.
13:25Sometimes cleaning the debris is more work than falling in the tree.
13:32Much more gooder.
13:34Got a nice trail, escape trail now.
13:39I think we're ready now.
13:41So my plan, I'm gonna get this heavy leaner.
13:46Got a nice little bed for it now.
13:47Yeah, that's good.
13:48I think I got all the pivot points bucked.
13:51I got this one bucked, this one chunked out in case it flips up.
13:54I was gonna clear some of that out of there and then throw this heavy leaner up there.
14:00And while I'm doing the low side of the undercut, I'm gonna want to get you to watch.
14:05If it gets on top of all this windfalls and comes sliding like the Egyptians did with the pyramids,
14:11with the logs, maybe it come rolling back at us.
14:14That's why I got a good escape trail in behind here.
14:16Looks like a good plan.
14:21If this massive cedar drops on the cut logs up the hill, it can now roll straight back
14:30on Rob.
14:33So it's critical he make a heavy face cut to guide it onto a safer bed of debris.
14:37Okay, let's do it.
14:48Rob's gonna be cutting and I'm gonna be his eyes and ears.
14:50This tree, it's leaning up the hill, it could break off and go into the direction that it's
14:57not intended.
14:58I'm just gonna watch out, make sure nothing's gonna hit him, make sure he's safe and we're
15:02gonna do our job together.
15:09that'll work.
15:10That'll work.
15:14That'll work.
15:15That'll work.
15:19It's going, it's going, it's going, yeah it is.
15:27It's going, it's going, yeah it is.
16:04Which of me it's going integügably better because I'm feeling mistakes.
16:10It landed right in the bed that I wanted it to and it's still broke, which makes me think
16:13rot in it if it broke, and I already had a nice bed for it.
16:17Yeah, this thing didn't even hit anything, and it broke.
16:20It is what it is.
16:23Two miles below.
16:33The bigger the load, the bigger the money.
16:36The clock is ticking as Jared needs every last stick of timber
16:40barged out for a shot at his bid.
16:43This forever claim, it's going to give me a little bit more home
16:48time, so I can watch my kids race their dirt bikes or, you know,
16:53be there for my wife.
16:56This takes a lot away from your family.
16:58I probably give more of my time back to my crew than I give back
17:01to my family, so I need this claim.
17:10He's peeking it up.
17:13I think he's done.
17:15Time to wrap her up.
17:21Making sure the load's secure.
17:23Make sure nothing slides over the front of the truck going down
17:26the steep hill.
17:27And, uh, we'll be on our way to the beach.
17:32Nice.
17:33Nice and done.
17:43Good.
17:44Good.
17:44Good.
17:45Good.
17:45good.
18:07Good.
18:07Good.
18:08The trailer's locked up there, big guy.
18:22Free now?
18:23Yeah, it looks like they're backed up there.
18:26Yeah, you're good.
18:28Trailer brakes are locking up.
18:33They're locked up again.
18:35Got plenty of air pressure.
18:37I'm gonna go ahead on a mirror.
18:45Yeah, try to go ahead and see what's happening.
18:53Yeah, you're nice and locked up.
18:59Boy, it's an agon.
19:07What the...
19:23High above float cam.
19:25Problems with the trailer brakes right now.
19:27That's dangerous.
19:33I disconnected the air supply, hooked it back up.
19:37There's a part of me right now that's thinking, what happens if this happens on the way down the mountain?
19:43Maybe a blockage of air, but we're definitely gonna have to monitor it on the way down the hill.
19:49I'm gonna have to really look at the air gauges and make sure I'm keeping my air.
19:53Make sure the brakes are gonna hold.
19:55Alright.
20:01And here we go.
20:07Full load heading down the mountain.
20:11Definitely did not like the brakes locking out.
20:13Brakes fail.
20:14We're in big trouble.
20:28There's a steep incline.
20:30There's a light on the mountain.
20:38Didn't like that sound.
20:41The lock up is acting up again.
20:49Brakes stop working.
20:51This truck will take off like a clutch.
21:00Come on, baby. Come on.
21:13There we go.
21:16The rough stuff's done.
21:19Home stretch.
21:22Now we're going to hit the main line and pick up some speed.
21:26Take some money.
21:30I have people counting on me to succeed.
21:37So every day is crucial.
21:38Get these loads off and get paid.
21:43Me, my crew, and all of us have speed in this game.
21:48Nicely done.
21:54Five miles up the shore.
22:00Ross and Adrian struggle to scrap the yarder, and the 40,000-pound boom is not going without a fight.
22:15I can't believe this boom is still in the air.
22:19I'm lifting up the back end of the machine for 10 feet.
22:23This thing's 120 ton.
22:25It's just not working.
22:29Hey, put your bucket teeth around all the cables.
22:32Oh, oh, oh, y'all was at her.
22:50Oh, oh, oh, y'all was at her.
22:58Holy .
22:58Look at this.
23:03Nice work, Roscoe.
23:09Look at that, look what's holding, look what held it up, just that little chunk in there.
23:15Just wedged her up.
23:17Hopefully, we don't have any more hang-ups.
23:20Yeah.
23:22This whole A-frame up here is the gantry, that's what holds the boom up.
23:27And we'll just pull the gantry off, and the rest of it will stay as is.
23:31And then we can drag everything off, and then, basically, it's a cut-and-show.
23:35Do your worst.
23:57Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
23:59Woo-hoo!
24:01I do so much fixing, all I do is fix, fix, fix.
24:27It can't be fixed all time.
24:29I need a break.
24:31I need a break.
24:32Nice!
24:33Oh, yeah!
24:34These machines are old, amazing history.
24:35A lot of guys won't be happy to see us desecrating it in this way, but just two guys trying to
24:48get this thing as ground level as possible, as fast as possible.
24:54I'm having fun.
24:55I'm having fun.
24:56Okay, go for it!
24:57Watch your toes!
24:59Go for it!
25:00Shoot my toes!
25:01Come on!
25:05We are pretty good.
25:15Oh, yeah!
25:15Oh, yeah!
25:16You won!
25:17Oh, I don't know.
25:18Woo-hoo!
25:23Woo-hoo!
25:28Rock and roll, buddy.
25:33Rock and roll.
25:34Smash it, mash it, kill it, eat it, f*** it, shoot it, burn it.
25:39Me and Ross are feeling good.
25:41We got this job done almost until we get this thing on a boat
25:45and the Scrap Boys will have their way with her
25:47and she'll rest in steel heaven.
25:54Back in the high country...
25:59For f***ing takes.
26:01Jim and Rob's last giant cedar shattered on impact
26:05and lost half its value.
26:07Didn't even hit anything and it broke.
26:09So they need at least one more money tree
26:12to stand a chance at recouping the loss.
26:14Fortunately for them, their redemption tree
26:17could be just a few feet away.
26:19Oh, look at that.
26:21It looks like a scratching post to me.
26:23That's a mountain lion.
26:25I think, yeah, I think you're right.
26:27You can tell by all the smaller claw marks.
26:28Look at it, smaller claw marks.
26:29One, two, three.
26:31It's probably not far off.
26:34It's pretty fresh.
26:36They could be watching us right now.
26:38Oh yeah, cats are sneaky.
26:46The cat scratch cedar.
26:48This thing looks sound from the bottom,
26:50but then you take a little closer look.
26:52There's carpenter ant holes down here.
26:55So who knows what the...
26:56If it's sound in the core.
26:58Sounds good there.
27:00But then you get to the high side.
27:02Sounds solid there.
27:07Not so much there.
27:09Definitely not solid there.
27:11So this one's going to be trickier to keep off the bluff.
27:14But there is some meat in it,
27:16so hopefully I can swing it right up here.
27:19Otherwise it's going right on the bluff.
27:28This cedar is highly unstable at the base
27:31and likely to fall straight downhill
27:33where it could explode.
27:35But if there's still enough holding wood to control it,
27:37Rob will once again aim his undercut across the side hill
27:41toward a softer bed of blow down
27:43where this time it'll hopefully stay in one piece.
27:48As long as I can keep the two corners of my undercut
27:51in the sound wood,
27:52hopefully I can control the direction of fall.
27:56You got it, buddy.
27:59There's so many factors involved.
28:02You got rock debris,
28:05ground debris.
28:07There's just too many variables.
28:10It's nice to have a second set of eyes
28:11in case something goes sideways.
28:13Ready!
28:22Look out!
28:24Back up!
28:25Back up!
28:38Look out!
28:40Back up!
28:42Heads up!
28:43One shot!
28:44Whoa!
28:45That was a nicer tree than the leaner cedar!
28:46Yeah, go figure.
28:47Honey shot, woo!
29:03That was a nicer tree than the leaner cedar.
29:06Yeah, go figure.
29:08Awesome.
29:09I love that.
29:12If I could do this all day, every day, oh wait, I do.
29:16I do.
29:17With this tree still completely intact, Rob and Jim should have just enough timber
29:23on the ground to pay for Jared's bid on the forever claim.
29:28The cat scratch cedar was, I thought it was going to be a bag of with the carpenter ant
29:33holes, but they must have just started chewing on it.
29:36This is the nicest cedar I've had all day, all week.
29:39I bet you that cat's right up there watching me, just waiting to pounce.
29:44I cut down her favorite scratch and pull.
29:51Back down by the water.
29:57Rocks are ticking.
30:04Ross and Adrian's salvage mission moves on to the next challenge.
30:09To cash in on scrap steel and parts, they must get all 120 tons of a dead yarder onto a boat.
30:17We've got to load a bunch of the scrap into it, and then this big ugly hunk is going to get pushed on.
30:23I'll pull with this thing.
30:26We'll hook that strap up to you, and we'll push with the lug loader.
30:30Then we'll have a better chance of steering it.
30:32We've lightened it up a little bit, got the boom and gantry off.
30:36But this is still 90 to 100 tons, and our ramp is about that wide, so it's going to be tight.
30:42And there's going to be a decline going down to the barge ramp, and that's a lot of weight.
30:47If we lose control of it, it's going to do some damage to something.
30:50I think we're just going to have to gamble with no brakes.
30:53What could go wrong?
30:56Okay.
31:10Hey, you can be the hiser, which way we've got to go?
31:14Yeah.
31:15Okay, let's go.
31:21Okay.
31:26Is that going away?
31:28I think, yeah.
31:29Yeah.
31:37Time to tighten it up.
31:39Tighten this up a little bit.
31:42OK.
31:44We've got to start turning it that way.
31:47A little more.
31:56A little more.
31:57Easy, Ross.
31:59Ross?
32:00Yeah.
32:01You've got to watch your counterweight.
32:03Did I hit it?
32:04Just about.
32:17Oh, yeah, baby.
32:36Nice job, buddy.
32:38West Coast logging is never a dull moment, brother.
32:41We had some ups and downs, some excitement and a bit of danger, and fear, danger, excitement,
32:46all hang out together.
32:48Tons of good parts for Jared, and there's a lot of weight and scrap metal there.
32:52Like, you know, there's good money in these things no matter how you cut it.
32:56It's on to the next challenge.
32:59Let's go back logging.
33:16Best view in the world.
33:19The Hercules.
33:21After 10 all-out days of production, Jared and the crew are down to the final hours.
33:29To barge and deliver in time before bidding closes.
33:36It all comes down to this moment.
33:41Lots of time and effort has gone in to get this log barge out.
33:46It's a great sight, beautiful day, and we've got lots of wood.
33:49I need to turn this log barge into dollars in my bank account right now.
33:55Every bundle must be carefully loaded onto the barge, so it can be hauled more than 100 miles away to market.
34:04But Jared's estimated profit is based on volume, and how much of it hits the deck of the barge undamaged.
34:16Dave Lorne is running the crane right now.
34:19He out here, Dave Lorne?
34:22Yeah, go for Dave.
34:24How's things looking up there?
34:26Hey, you guys made some nice bundles, lots of them.
34:29Nice, nice, nice.
34:32We're going to keep you guys busy this season.
34:34Oh, yeah, boy.
34:38You know, it all comes down to this last moment.
34:40This is like the gold miners' gold weigh-in, right?
34:44This is just on a way bigger scale.
34:46There's King of the Klondike, now there's King of the Coast.
34:50It's impossible for loggers to even know their costs.
34:55It is a take a dart and throw it at the board and hope you land on the bullseye area, because it's so hard.
35:01Wreck your machine and your costs go through the roof, you lose money on that job.
35:05We can't haul because the river's blown out.
35:10Just how efficient we are.
35:12That's a huge drive around if we make money or not.
35:16Logging is like taking a pitchfork to a wheelbarrow full of cash, throwing it over your shoulder, and hoping a dollar bill lands in your pocket.
35:30Yeah, go ahead.
35:32Do you think we're going to fill the barge?
35:34I think these two sharp ones are yours.
35:48I got this mangled up one, and a mangled up one.
35:51No, the brand new one. Remember you got brand new wedges? That's yours.
35:55Mine's chewed on the corners.
35:59Rob's my brother. He is a true brother.
36:02It's getting warm out.
36:04I know you like the heat, but I hate it.
36:06Oh, I shine in this.
36:08We've worked together for 10 years falling and 13 years before that logging.
36:14If you want, I can hang out and hammer some wedges for you if you want.
36:18Okay, that would be helpful.
36:20Okay.
36:21There's something about falling that really bonds you to each other.
36:26When you look after yourself, number one, and your partner, number two, that's a very strong bond between two people.
36:34And when you save somebody's life, it's even stronger.
36:37Can't always be nice unless you're Jimmy Gardner.
36:40And when you feel it, it's gold.
36:50On the coast of the Pacific Northwest.
36:54Do you think we're going to fill the barge?
36:58Um...
36:59Yeah, I think we have more than we need, actually. It'll be stuffed right full.
37:12Well, that's good news.
37:14Definitely shaping up to be a great season.
37:17Looking good. Pretty impressed, Jared.
37:19Once delivered, this barge comes in at $212,000, which combined with the salvaged yarder gives Jared more than enough to have made good on his aggressive forever claim bid.
37:31I feel like all roads have led to this moment.
37:35Everything is lining up perfectly.
37:39I've never been this happy with my crew.
37:43I've worked really hard to make this deal.
37:45I'm this close to having forever claim. Like, this close.
37:49So I'm a little nervous. Yeah.
37:51It's f***ing real. It's a real thing right now. It's happening.
37:53Three shots each. Let's go.
37:55My crew is the most important thing in this company.
37:59Like, they're just salt of the earth, hard-working, hilarious guys.
38:04To a good season. Here we go.
38:08Come on, Happy. Happy Douglas.
38:10F***ing my s*** down daily.
38:15Jared's operation is quite a bit different this year.
38:20He's solo. Doesn't have a partner. Kind of restricting him.
38:25F***ing. The gloves are off. The guy's a wild mustang running through the bush.
38:31He's taking on everything he can get his hands on.
38:34He's got lots of drive.
38:36Adrian. Just like starting the tug. Takes him forever.
38:42You better watch the f*** out, boss.
38:49Yep!
38:53Hello?
38:54Hello?
38:55Hi, is this Jared?
38:56Yeah.
38:57Jared Douglas?
38:58Yeah.
38:59Hey, can you wait a minute? One second.
39:01Just getting in my room here.
39:03Whoa!
39:10You there?
39:11Yes, sir. I'm calling you about the bid you placed on the forever claim.
39:14Yeah.
39:15Unfortunately, there was a higher bidder.
39:17You gotta be kidding me.
39:19Yeah.
39:20By who?
39:21Looks like, uh, John Muhammad.
39:24John?
39:25That's what I'm showing.
39:26F***.
39:28Okay.
39:29Thanks.
39:30My bid for the forever claim, which I thought was a lock.
39:39I was a little bitter.
39:41Somebody beat me.
39:43John Muhammad.
39:45Fierce competitor of mine.
39:49I was banking on that for my crew's jobs.
39:58I fumbled the ball.
40:02I have nothing lined up for my company.
40:05I have to scramble.
40:07In logging, always the unforeseen stuff is what gets you.
40:12You have to be able to pivot.
40:15And these decisions have to happen immediately.
40:18I can't tell those people they're not getting a paycheck.
40:21The biggest chip on my shoulder that I have is I've always come up with the work.
40:29And my crew knows that.
40:31And they bank on that.
40:33Because they know that I'm going to be out there hustling.
40:38And I do not want to let them down.
40:46I need to make this happen.
40:48Yeah, that's not going to work, Jared.
40:50I don't want to see people lose their jobs.
40:54Whoa.
40:55Back up.
40:56This thing wants to go.
41:01Nice shooting.
41:02If this doesn't happen, I'm .
41:09We're going to work our fingers to the bone.
41:11It's going.
41:12It's going.
41:14We're going to bleed for this.
41:19Now, let's make or break.
41:21You have to adapt or fail.
