00:00Look a lot like Christmas, but not nearly enough for my liking.
00:05I am totally Little Miss Christmas.
00:08I'm Sarah Davies and crafting is my passion, especially at Christmas.
00:13That looks right.
00:14Thank you, Mama Craft.
00:15Lovely.
00:17So I'm on a mission to spread a bit of homemade festive magic.
00:21One, two, three.
00:26Each week I'll be joined by two celebrity crafters,
00:30going head-to-head to make the best decorations.
00:36Oh, it's a contest.
00:38Oh, that is fabulous.
00:41I mean, I'm supposed to pick a winner, aren't I?
00:43Together, we'll be sprucing up our trees.
00:46Up to perfection.
00:47I think I've got a bit roll.
00:49Yes.
00:51And sparkling up our centerpieces.
00:53Nice little building pipe.
00:55Wow.
00:55I've just seen how much you've got.
00:58It was a really bad idea.
01:00So grab your glue guns and let's get Christmas crafting.
01:05The countdown to Christmas starts here.
01:22It's time.
01:23It is time.
01:25Christmas is here.
01:26Today, TV's Wineware's Olly Smith and presenter and properly hot shot Scarlett Douglas will be rolling up their sleeves to help me.
01:36I feel like human tinsel.
01:38This is the greatest day ever.
01:39I mean, it's better than Christmas Day.
01:40I'm full of joy.
01:41I love glitter.
01:43So as long as there's lots of glitter there, everything's just going to be full of sparkly.
01:47Glitter I'm there for.
01:48Don't let me know the glue.
01:49It'll be everywhere.
01:50Okay, no, it's it.
01:51I'm the klutz of craft rather than the king of craft in my household.
01:55I, uh, when I wrap a present, it looks like a monkey's done it.
01:57But I'm hoping the skills I'll learn will change all that.
02:00Doing the ding, ding, ding, ding.
02:04Hello.
02:07I'm really not the best at any sort of arts and crafts.
02:09I'm not artistic in the slightest.
02:12Come on in.
02:12Come on.
02:12So to actually try and make something Christmassy, yeah, it's going to be, uh, interesting.
02:19Sarah is the queen of crafting.
02:21You know, she's totally inspiring.
02:22So if I can just take one little sparkle from her Christmas bauble and put it in my abilities, I'd be delighted.
02:31So you're excited.
02:33So excited.
02:35Tell me they've delivered me two avid crafters.
02:38Not since primary school, really.
02:39Um, primary school, I mean, look, I, I mean, I love the idea of it and I get really excited about it.
02:45So much so that I always make a terrible mess and my family won't let me do it.
02:49I mean, look, we're nice and clean at the moment.
02:51Give it ten minutes and we'll have stuff everywhere.
02:54But that's when it gets fun.
02:55That's what it's all about, isn't it, when it comes to crafting.
02:57I think, like my mind, it's an organised mess.
03:00A woman after my own heart, organised mess.
03:02Everything my celebrity guests make over the next few weeks is to transform this beautiful house into a magical Christmas party venue.
03:13Okay, so I actually need your help.
03:15Okay.
03:16I'm going to be putting you to work today.
03:17So I want to have a little bit of a party and invite some of the local people who can't celebrate Christmas Day because they have to work on Christmas Day.
03:25Oh, I love it.
03:26So the deal is, I'm going to teach you some amazing crafting that you can then take home and do with the family.
03:32And in return, you're going to help me decorate the room.
03:35Delighted to.
03:35Sounds like a plan.
03:36What I'm going to start off with is the baubles.
03:38So I don't know about you, but I've amassed so many baubles over the years.
03:42Nothing ever goes together.
03:44One year I've got this colour theme, the next year I've got this colour theme.
03:47And instead of buying new, I thought we could just upcycle some old ones.
03:52Oh, I love it.
03:52Perfect.
03:53And no pressure.
03:54Yeah.
03:54But I want to see which of you is the best at this by the end of the day.
03:59It's got to be, surely.
04:01Really?
04:02I mean, I am very competitive, I'm not going to lie.
04:04Okay, so this isn't really the look that's in anymore, right?
04:08This was so five years ago.
04:09Very dated.
04:10Right?
04:10Yeah.
04:10So it goes in phases.
04:11Actually, there's a fashion to Christmas trees.
04:13I have the Christmas tree from over the years, I call it, in the living room when we've got all the baubles that the kids made when they were at school or when they were little.
04:21Then I have my nice fancy Christmas tree at the front of the back.
04:23So I can have more than one tree.
04:25This is news to me.
04:26I've never had more than one tree.
04:27What?
04:28How many trees do you have?
04:29A little mini tree.
04:29I have two.
04:30So I have my big black one and then I have got a little mini tree as well.
04:33Okay, I'm not going to pass comment on this one.
04:35Oh, now I'm intrigued.
04:36How many you have?
04:37Five trees.
04:38Yes.
04:39Okay, well, you've got a lot of catching up today.
04:41Now, it's Sarah Five Trees.
04:42That's such a good, like, nickname.
04:44I am totally Little Miss Christmas.
04:48I think you can have as many trees as you like if you're Sarah.
04:50I mean, she can literally have a forest of Christmas trees as far as I'm concerned.
04:53Sarah Five Trees, though.
04:55That is such a good gangster name.
04:56I'm really happy with that.
04:57So, we're going to do a bit of bauble pimping.
05:00Okay.
05:00Using a bit of acrylic paint.
05:02Yes.
05:03And flour.
05:04Oh, I can't wait.
05:05Come on, pass some baubles down.
05:06Yes, go away.
05:07Right, so, I'm going to do red on red.
05:09What?
05:09So we get, like, a beautiful kind of flocked look to this.
05:12Sarah Five Trees, that sounds crazy.
05:16Give yourself a nice big squirt of paint.
05:18Now, all I want you to do is get your paintbrush.
05:21Yes.
05:21And we're just going to paint a layer of acrylic paint on your bauble.
05:25All the way over it?
05:26All the way over it.
05:27How did you get into crafting, Sarah?
05:29You know, my mum used to do loads of this when I was little.
05:32I just developed a love for it.
05:33And then I made it my life and started a business in the industry when I was at university.
05:39So, always done a little bit of crafting.
05:41Right.
05:42Now, keep it quite thin, right?
05:45Yes, okay, perfect.
05:45Now, I'm going to get a nice spoonful of flour.
05:48But the trick is we're going to take it through the sieve.
05:50And then all we do is pop the flour over the top.
05:55Is that right?
05:56Yeah.
05:57Now, when the paint dries, it will have stuck to the paint.
06:01And then we're going to dust off the excess flour.
06:04Okay.
06:04So, you won't see the flour.
06:06All you'll see is a lovely flocked effect.
06:09As soon as you started cascading that, I could see a wonderful life just playing over in my mind.
06:13Christmas is coming.
06:14It's wonderful.
06:16I tell you what, here, Olly.
06:17You take my...
06:18Can I?
06:18Thank you so much.
06:19You can get caught in the back.
06:19So, it's just one hand tapping.
06:21Yes.
06:22Oh, Olly.
06:23I'm loving this.
06:24Olly, it's your little face.
06:25Oh, I'm loving it.
06:26Now, I've got a brilliant tip for you.
06:28Because we need to leave this to dry, I've just got a box.
06:32And I've got a couple of little skewers in the top of the box.
06:35Right, eh?
06:35So, that it'll just hold it while it dries.
06:38Then, after the paint dries, we'll be able to use a nice big brush and dust off the flour.
06:43Right.
06:44And you'll just get that lovely red flocked effect.
06:46Amazing.
06:47Oh, my word.
06:47Right.
06:48Let me send you another one down.
06:49What I thought we could do is, now, maybe flock the bottom.
06:54Oh.
06:54But leave the top empty.
06:56Okay.
06:57Half and half.
06:58Half and half.
06:59Do you think with crafting that people's personality does come out into what they do?
07:03Oh, absolutely.
07:03It's got to, right?
07:05Yeah.
07:05I think I probably do these in lots of different colours.
07:08Yeah.
07:08Sarah, what about orange?
07:10Orange is my favourite colour.
07:11Am I allowed to do things in, like, bright orange at Christmas time?
07:13Or is that really not fashionable?
07:14Hey, it's your Christmas.
07:16Can I?
07:16You do it however you want.
07:18Great.
07:19Do you know what?
07:19And I bet you, orange baubles are hard to come by.
07:22Could that be a little side business for me?
07:23I was just going to say, only you could start a side hustle.
07:25The orange baubles company.
07:26The orange baubles guy.
07:27Wait.
07:27I've already trademarked it.
07:28It's no use running for the internet.
07:30I see so many people doing little side hustle businesses, going around the Christmas craft
07:36fairs.
07:37And how important do you think with those businesses that it's the one thing they truly
07:41love to do?
07:42Oh, do you know, the thing is, I've worked in the craft industry my whole life.
07:46Yeah.
07:46And it just doesn't feel like work, because I absolutely love what I do.
07:49Do you know, I had a similar thing.
07:50My mum was a nurse and dad was a teacher.
07:53And I remember when I started working in wine shops, they were kind of like, you're doing
07:56what?
07:56And they didn't really drink wine.
07:57I mean, now they're absolute luscious, of course.
08:00But it's true, if you do what you love.
08:02I've always been very lucky.
08:03Property and interior design.
08:04It's just always been something I've enjoyed so much.
08:07And I love every minute of it.
08:09I love every minute of it.
08:11Look at this.
08:12Do we fancy trying a different color?
08:13I've got some gold baubles here.
08:15Could you do a pattern and then put the snow on the pattern?
08:20Is that competitive, Ollie, coming out right now?
08:22I don't think it's competitive.
08:23I think it's joy.
08:23The spirit of all this is with us.
08:26Am I allowed to do that?
08:27Is that breaking the rules?
08:28There's no rules here.
08:29Really?
08:29This is your marble.
08:30This is your craft.
08:32You do it how you like it.
08:33It's easy.
08:35Everyone's got some paint at home.
08:37Everyone's got some flour.
08:39Yep, exactly.
08:40And just having family time, I think is so important.
08:42We're always so busy, actually.
08:43Oh, yes.
08:43Just be sitting, having a nice chat.
08:45What did you get up to today?
08:46How was school?
08:47What's happening?
08:48You're right, though.
08:48Family time.
08:49The only thing, I can't get the dog to do it.
08:51And I think he'd love it.
08:52I think you'll have him covered in flour bags.
08:54Yeah.
08:55And little Busby.
08:57So is this it?
08:58Are you going to go and I'm going to try these flocked baubles with the rest of the family now?
09:01I know all my nieces and nephews are going to love doing this.
09:04It's actually going pretty well so far.
09:07I'm loving it.
09:08It's so therapeutic.
09:09It really is.
09:10And now I just want to be here all day doing as many things as possible.
09:12And I actually get to.
09:13So, win with.
09:15Right, so we're going to leave them to dry.
09:16I reckon if we give them about half an hour, then we'll dust the flour off.
09:21And I've got a perfect other craft for you to do while we wait.
09:24Do you fancy a bit of marbling?
09:25Look at his little face.
09:26I'm ready.
09:27Let's get going.
09:28Okay.
09:38Okay, marbling.
09:39Can I just say, I'm not seeing a single marble here.
09:42I thought we were going to actually have marbles, put them in paint and then maybe like roll them around on a tray or something.
09:47Oh, no, we're doing grown-up marbling.
09:49Oh, okay.
09:49Well, what we're going to do is we're going to marble some of these plain boring white baubles.
09:55Yes.
09:55We're going to do them red and gold to match it with our lovely room.
09:58Needed my red and gold jig coming on.
09:59Okay, so warm water.
10:01Okay, so you want the water warm because when we spray the spray paint on top, it's going to sit on the surface.
10:06And we're going to mix the colours together.
10:08That's where we get the marbling.
10:10Oh, I love this.
10:11And we're doing it outside because it's spray paint.
10:13Yes.
10:14Yeah, right.
10:15The trick is you want to go quite fast so that the colours merge together.
10:18Okay.
10:18All right, so gold.
10:21A bit of red, a bit of gold while it's still marbled like that.
10:25In we go.
10:26Oh, nice.
10:27Yeah.
10:27Oh, I love that.
10:28And there is that gorgeous marble technique.
10:32That's beautiful.
10:33It's like two-tone.
10:35It's blending.
10:36My word.
10:37That's what we're going to do.
10:38That's what we're hoping we're going to do.
10:40That is what we are going to do.
10:42That's what's going to happen.
10:43All right, Sarah.
10:43Who wants to go first?
10:44Yeah, let's do it.
10:45Go for it.
10:45Okay.
10:46Straight in.
10:47Straight in.
10:47So, gold.
10:49Yep.
10:49A bit of red.
10:50Yeah, a bit more.
10:51A bit more.
10:52A bit more.
10:53Yeah, look at that marble.
10:54That's beautiful.
10:55Ready?
10:56In for the dunk.
10:59Oh, that's not bad.
11:02That's pretty good.
11:03Right, give it a go.
11:05So, spray red, spray gold.
11:08Right.
11:09That's it.
11:09So, it's in.
11:11In.
11:11Oh.
11:13So close.
11:14Do you know what you're doing?
11:15You're squeezing it round, Lily.
11:17Yeah.
11:17Just go in scoop up.
11:19These are going to be pros by the time we finish.
11:21Yes.
11:21Okay.
11:22Yep.
11:22Ready to go again?
11:23Yeah.
11:23This is it now.
11:24Nice.
11:27Okay.
11:28Ready?
11:28Yes.
11:28So, straight in.
11:30Round up.
11:32Yay!
11:34That's looking fabulous.
11:36Yes.
11:37I'm happy with that one.
11:38Come on, Ollie.
11:38No pressure.
11:39Pressure's on.
11:40You just nailed it.
11:40I know.
11:41Pressure's on.
11:41I actually did nail it.
11:43Come on.
11:43I believe.
11:43I believe.
11:44Christmas spirit.
11:45So, it's in.
11:45In.
11:45One go.
11:46In.
11:46Catch it all.
11:47Round.
11:48Oh.
11:49Oh.
11:50Yes.
11:51Come on.
11:52I'm really happy with my baubles.
11:54It's amazing how quickly the confidence builds.
11:56That is fantastic.
11:57Do you know, by the time we add a bit of ribbon and have them dangling, they're going to catch
12:00the light in a different way.
12:02Do you know what?
12:02I think to start with, I was definitely doing a little bit better than Ollie.
12:05But he's doing all right.
12:07I might sabotage him down the line.
12:08No, I would never do that.
12:10But I've got my eye on Ollie.
12:11I really have.
12:12I'm so chuffed with that.
12:13I need colour.
12:13You could be doing them in gold and pink.
12:16Oh.
12:16And I could be doing them orange.
12:19It's really.
12:20Get the guy some orange spray paint.
12:22I need spray paint.
12:33Now, all being well, that little jaunt outside will have given these time to dry.
12:38Yes.
12:39And we want to make sure that the paint's dry.
12:41Uh-huh.
12:41And that flour has stuck.
12:43Oh.
12:43Yes, it has.
12:44The flour's stuck to it nicely.
12:46My goodness me.
12:46Just brushing off the excess.
12:48And of course, it's only flour.
12:50So it just costs pennies.
12:51And the good thing is, if your paint's dried, you kind of can't go wrong at this stage.
12:55Yeah.
12:55It's not like you can brush it too hard and knock it off.
12:57Because the paint has left it in.
12:59Yes.
13:00So that makes sense.
13:00And actually, at that point, you can always just bring your hands and just rub off the excess.
13:04And actually, look, they're quite durable.
13:05That is really good.
13:06Right, so we can get that lovely bit of a drop.
13:10I think that would be rather nice.
13:11It would match me.
13:12Do you know, if we got you some mini baubles...
13:14I'd be game for it.
13:15...and do some earrings.
13:15I'd go full Pat Butcher.
13:16Right, try some of your half ones.
13:21Oh, yes.
13:21The ones that you did the little pattern on.
13:23Oh, that looks really gorgeous.
13:25Yeah, I like this one.
13:26That's quite fun.
13:27That's worked really well.
13:28I think that's fun.
13:29It worked quite well, yeah.
13:30Yeah.
13:30It's so good.
13:31And then we could start and personalise them a bit.
13:34Oh, yes.
13:35So what I've got is I've got some acrylic paint pens.
13:38And I'm just going to draw some little stars or snowflakes on here.
13:41So anything festive.
13:43What's Christmassy?
13:44Like snowflakes?
13:45How do you do a snowflake?
13:46Oh, you've done that beautiful...
13:46So I've done some little stars.
13:48Yes.
13:48You could do stars, you could do snowflakes, we could do some berries.
13:52You've got the green.
13:53Oh, you could do some honey.
13:54Oh, a little Christmas tree.
13:56Oh, I think that might be my favourite song.
13:58Oh.
13:59Because anyone else feels super Christmassy.
14:01Yes.
14:02We need a little Christmas tipple, don't we, on the table while we're doing our crafting.
14:06A snowball, something like that.
14:08What's in a snowball?
14:09It's got avocado in it, which is that funny egg stuff.
14:11And then a bit of lemonade.
14:12And then you kind of do a frosted edge of it.
14:14They can be quite fun, those ones, Christmas cocktails.
14:16So what I want to know is, Ollie, what are the family going to make of your crafting skills now?
14:22I think they'll be really amazed.
14:23I don't think they'll think I'm like a full craft wizard, but I think they'll be thrilled that I'm actually not just able to do a bit, but into it.
14:31There's time yet.
14:32This is your first project.
14:34Yes.
14:34I'll have craft wizardry by the end of the day.
14:37Oh, I'd love that.
14:38Yeah.
14:39I've never thought of myself as an artist, and I would never go that far, but I revel in my baubles.
14:45Let's just leave it at that.
14:48Ready to start and try something new?
14:50Oh, what have we got next?
14:51I think we need to work on the Christmas garland as well.
14:54Oh, hello.
14:55Yeah?
14:55Yeah.
14:56Love it.
14:56Let's finish the baubles, get ready to do the garland.
14:59Okay.
15:00This is brilliant.
15:04Ollie.
15:13So, group project, we're going to work together to make the perfect garland.
15:19Oh, hang on.
15:19What garland, I'm thinking?
15:21Is that a wreath?
15:21What is a garland?
15:22It's a Judy.
15:23It's a Judy.
15:24It's a singer.
15:25I do love you.
15:26Of course it is.
15:26This Christmas should be one big song.
15:28Exactly, a big sing song.
15:29Now, let's get to it, really.
15:31Let's get to it.
15:31So, this is a garland.
15:34Right.
15:34You can wrap it over the fireplace.
15:36Oh, yeah.
15:37You can do it down the centre of the table.
15:39We could have it going up the stairs.
15:41So, it's a lot of work creating one from scratch.
15:45Yeah.
15:45It's going to be much easier to take a simple one.
15:48Yes.
15:48And add our own embellishments.
15:50Now, this is a very plain, boring garland.
15:53Yeah.
15:53Right?
15:53We're going to make it look fabulous.
15:55And we're going to add all sorts of embellishments.
15:59Right?
15:59Right.
15:59Some of which we're going to make.
16:01Oh, for what?
16:01Some of which we're going to forage for.
16:03Yes.
16:04So, the first thing I want you to do is get out there in the garden and let's go and see
16:07what we can find.
16:08Anything Christmassy looking.
16:09And we're going to add it.
16:10We've got it.
16:11And I want to see who brings the best foliage back.
16:13Look for some mistletoe.
16:14Yeah.
16:14Oh.
16:15Pack her up.
16:16Holly.
16:16I love a bit of gardening.
16:22Oh, I love a bit of gardening.
16:23Yeah.
16:24This stuff looks good.
16:26Oh, yes.
16:27Definitely will have a bit of this.
16:29Oh, it's got a bit of ivy there.
16:31Let me get you a bit.
16:32Oh, yeah.
16:32Yeah.
16:33Hopefully fair.
16:34How are you doing over here?
16:35I'm just looking for tips.
16:37Checking.
16:38You know, little bits here and there.
16:39Friendly rivalry.
16:41Yeah.
16:41Are you doing all right?
16:43Oh, thank you.
16:43Oh, look at that.
16:44Holly is brilliant.
16:46I absolutely love him.
16:47And I think even though, of course, there's a little bit of competitiveness to this, and
16:51I guess we both really want to do well, but we're having a big laugh together.
16:55It's lovely spotted.
16:56Can you see?
16:57What?
16:58Look at all the holly there with all the nice and fluffy.
16:59Isn't it lovely?
17:00Amazing.
17:00You should have kept that quiet and he wouldn't have spotted the holly.
17:02I wouldn't have spotted the holly.
17:03Would have given you the edge.
17:04Totally.
17:06Sharing is caring.
17:07Sharing is caring.
17:07Merry Christmas.
17:08I've got fairly low hopes about winning today.
17:11Scarlet's brill, and also, she makes it really fun.
17:14I feel I could talk to those two for the rest of my life.
17:17Like, I wouldn't mind if we were on the beach at Margay, up a mountain, in the bath, or
17:21we probably wouldn't be at the bath, but having fun together, I just think they're brill.
17:25Oh, she's going in big.
17:27I went in.
17:28Look at that one.
17:29Lovely, lovely.
17:30Full bush takedown.
17:32We've got plenty?
17:34Yeah, look.
17:34Yes, come on.
17:36The holly and the ivy, when they have a full crown.
17:41That's it.
17:42And something, something.
17:43Of all the flowers that are in the woods, the holly bears the crown.
17:48There we go.
17:50She's not living again.
17:51Oh, hey.
18:01You've got quite the little assortment here in mind, haven't you?
18:04Yes.
18:05We've got a bit of all sorts.
18:06Okay, so, the trick is, we're going to make little clumps of our own foliage.
18:12Yep.
18:12And then we're going to wire them together, and then wire them onto the garland.
18:16Okay.
18:16Okay.
18:16So, get your scissors out, and let's start cutting a couple of little clumps.
18:22So, see what you fancy.
18:23So, I might get a little bit of ivy.
18:26See, I'm looking at this.
18:26This feels a bit too much.
18:29So, I can cut that down a little bit and cut a few pieces out.
18:32Ooh.
18:32A little prickle there.
18:33Is that one of your spikes that you put in there for me to bite?
18:38Oh.
18:40How's that?
18:41Is that roughly the sort of clumpy size we're looking for?
18:44What a clump, Olly.
18:46What a clump.
18:46They don't call me clumpy Olly for nothing.
18:49Right, so, I'm going to get a few of my little bits together.
18:52So, you want to get a nice big bit so that you've got all of the stalks together.
18:57Okay.
18:57Now, if you just wrap the wire around, eventually, it'll just come undone.
19:02So, this is what we're going to do.
19:04We're going to take your piece of wire.
19:05Yep.
19:06And we're going to put a bend in it.
19:08Going to lie that bend next to the clump and then take your big long piece and wind that round.
19:13Oh, right.
19:14Right?
19:14So, now, this is not going anywhere, right?
19:19Because it's held by your little bend.
19:21So, now, we can just think, right, where are we going to add this?
19:25Got it.
19:25We'll add it here.
19:26That looks so good.
19:27And now, we'll wire it onto here.
19:29And you see what a difference it makes?
19:31It looks like a really simple garland.
19:33Yeah.
19:34But we're adding our own foliage so it becomes more authentic.
19:36And it smells so good as well.
19:38Can you smell that?
19:39Yeah.
19:39It's gone from being a single to an album.
19:44Oh.
19:45Already?
19:45Do you know, blink and I missed it.
19:47That is perfect.
19:48Unbelievable.
19:48Not bad, right?
19:49It's competitive.
19:49So, is it going to be house full for you this year for Christmas, Ollie?
19:53I think it's just going to be me and the girls and Soph this year.
19:55And, of course, Busby the dog, who loves Christmas more than anyone else.
19:58Hey, look at him.
19:59Oh.
20:00In his little Christmas antlers.
20:02Oh, bless his heart.
20:03Very happy for Christmas.
20:04I pinch a bit of this.
20:05Yeah, of course you can.
20:06Thank you very much.
20:06I actually did steal that from your bucket.
20:07Did you?
20:08Oh, now it starts.
20:10So intriguing.
20:11It's coming from that bucket.
20:12My bucket is your bucket, Scarlett.
20:14Any other Christmas traditions?
20:16Anybody?
20:17You know, got carols singing?
20:18I do a lot of sign language, and then when I first started, yeah, when I first started
20:23learning the deaf club that I went to, we were just signing Christmas songs, like carols.
20:28Oh, that's lovely.
20:28And it was so beautiful.
20:29We had the music going along, so obviously people would understand what we were signing.
20:32It's actually the most amazing thing, so.
20:34Oh, that's fabulous.
20:35Yeah.
20:35That is.
20:36What a skill to have as well.
20:37Do you know what?
20:37What a skill.
20:38Yeah.
20:38I'd love to be able to sign that well.
20:40Now, imagine, this is your Christmas table.
20:43I will.
20:43And you've got this winding up the centre of the table.
20:46Nice.
20:46With all of the fresh foliage.
20:48I can see it.
20:49That.
20:49Beautiful.
20:50We made a good team.
20:51Have we done all right?
20:52We're making good teams!
20:54We are working well as a team.
20:56I think you've got to.
20:57You've got to help each other.
20:57Everybody has their strengths and their weaknesses, so it's about coming together, collaborating
21:01and making something super beautiful, and I think we will.
21:03This is just the start, though.
21:04How about we add a few pine cones on as well?
21:07Yeah.
21:07Yes, right.
21:08So, get yourself a bit of wire again.
21:11Yeah.
21:11All you're doing is threading the wire through the pine cone, and then it just holds it in
21:18place.
21:19Do you know what I thought we could do, though?
21:20Add a bit of snow to them.
21:21Yes.
21:22Yes.
21:23And, of course, we've got our flour still.
21:25Yeah.
21:26So, get yourself a brush, a little bit of glue, and we'll just snow tip the ends of the pine
21:32cone.
21:33Oh, yeah.
21:34And in the same way that we're just going to use a little bit of flour to tip these with.
21:38You could tip them in your glitter.
21:40I know you love them.
21:40Oh, scarlet.
21:41I do.
21:42I've been waiting for some glitter.
21:43Oh, sprinkle the flour on.
21:47Okay.
21:51Oh, look at how good they look.
21:54Oh, that is so simple and so effective.
21:56So easy.
21:57And then we'll just leave them to dry, and once the glue's hardened, we can wire them
22:00on.
22:01Look at it.
22:03Very nice.
22:04Let's talk about the Christmas cakes.
22:06Yes.
22:06So, how far in advance do you let your fruit soak?
22:10So, we have a really nice Jamaican Christmas cake, and we have a gentleman that makes it
22:15for us every year.
22:16He will soak his fruits in rum from the year before.
22:20The year before?
22:21Yep.
22:21So, they are well and truly totally soaked in.
22:27It's amazing.
22:27Great.
22:27Like, oh, it's delicious.
22:29And are you a turkey girl at Christmas?
22:31We have everything.
22:32We go for turkey, chicken, gammon.
22:35We'll also go with beef.
22:36Well, then we obviously have the potatoes, and you've got your parsnips, and your carrots,
22:40and your turnips.
22:41We get some fried planting in there.
22:43We get rice and peas.
22:43We get normal rice.
22:44We get fried dumpling.
22:45I'm coming round.
22:47Yeah, we go in.
22:48I mean, we always have the leftovers on Boxing Day, but I'm imagining you'll be still eating
22:52those on the day of the day.
22:55Exactly.
22:56Do you know what I was wondering, Scarlett?
22:57Yeah.
22:57As soon as I've taught you how to wire pine corns together.
23:01Yes.
23:01Any chance you'll teach us to sign Merry Christmas?
23:04Oh, absolutely.
23:05Yeah?
23:06Okay.
23:06So, we say happy more than merry, so happy.
23:09Happy.
23:10Yes, you could be merry as well, but happy Christmas.
23:13Here you go.
23:14Happy Christmas.
23:16Done.
23:17Great.
23:17Love it.
23:18There you go.
23:18Happy Christmas.
23:20To all.
23:21To all.
23:22Yes.
23:33We're back for more Christmas crafting.
23:36Now, everyone knows how much I love Christmas trees.
23:39But this one is a little bit different.
23:42Now, I just can't help myself.
23:44I like to craft up everything.
23:45I like to craft up everything and I thought I'd make a little cream cheese Christmas tree just
23:50to keep Scarlett Nolly going all day.
23:52Now, it's got a bit of cling film.
23:53Now, it's got a bit of cling film.
23:54And I'm just going to roll that out.
23:56You can use any cream cheese you want.
23:59This is just a regular cream cheese.
24:01And I'm going to pop that in the middle and then just fashion it into a bit of a tree.
24:11And then I'm just going to pop that in the freezer just for 10 minutes.
24:15You want it to be long enough that it firms up, but not so long that it loses its texture.
24:19And then, while that's chilling, I'm just going to cut a bit of dill up that we can wrap our tree in.
24:29All right, and it's going to roll my tree in the dill.
24:52And then that will just sit on display.
24:57It looks great, doesn't it?
24:59And we'll put a few little baubles on the tree.
25:10And then it's going to add a few little crackers.
25:12Now, you could add some little flaked almonds if you want, make some lights.
25:17Or maybe you want to add some cranberries on, make it really festive.
25:20Anything that's going to go with the cheese, really.
25:23But how cute is my little Christmas tree?
25:27And now it's time to see if my cheesy tree passes Olly and Scarlett's taste test.
25:42So, as you've all been working so hard, a little treat for us last night.
25:49Look at this.
25:50Ready for a bit of mid-garland work, pick-up.
25:53I love it.
25:54Just a little bit of dill.
25:56Beautiful.
25:57Some pomegranate.
25:58Wow.
25:59See, I love a bit of food crafting as well.
26:01I can see that.
26:02It's just soft cheese.
26:03It looks great.
26:05I'm dipping in...
26:05I've broken my biscuits.
26:06Oh, broken your biscuits.
26:06Straight off.
26:08Now, I'll be really honest...
26:09There we are.
26:10I've got it.
26:10I wanted to serve this up at the party.
26:12So, I just wanted to know, is it good enough?
26:15Yeah.
26:15That is fully, fully brilliant.
26:17It's good enough.
26:18The dill works.
26:19The soft cheese is great.
26:20A little bit of pomegranate for a crunch.
26:21I love it.
26:22Yeah?
26:22Mm.
26:23A little bit.
26:24Pomegranate really works with it as well.
26:25It really does.
26:25It is.
26:26Mm.
26:27So, which wine would you recommend with this?
26:29I would say a good Italian white wine.
26:32Fiano is a good one.
26:33It's good value.
26:34It would be delicious with that.
26:36Fiano?
26:36Fiano, yeah.
26:37It's kind of peachy, not too sharp, but it would be a real crowd pleaser for Christmas as well.
26:41Yeah, lovely.
26:42A real crowd pleaser.
26:43Yeah, yeah.
26:44We can't sit around eating all day.
26:46Our gorgeous garland isn't nearly Christmassy enough yet, but I know just what to add.
26:52Right, what I thought we'd do is add a few nice bows.
26:57Right.
26:58Right?
26:59Bows.
27:00Bows.
27:00I'm getting I have to use the Queen's English.
27:02Bows.
27:02Yes.
27:03Harlem bows up here.
27:04Bows.
27:05Bows.
27:06Right.
27:06You need a bow maker.
27:07So, all I'm going to do is stick two spoons to the side of the table.
27:12Yeah.
27:12Right?
27:13So, what we're going to do is we're going to wrap the ribbon around the spoons.
27:16Okay.
27:17Okay?
27:17So, let's get a nice size piece of ribbon.
27:19Mm-hmm.
27:20Are you feeling nervous?
27:21Yeah.
27:21Don't worry.
27:23Okay.
27:24All we do, ready, is you go around the spoons.
27:28Yes.
27:28Yes.
27:28Cross it in front of you.
27:30The piece that's at the top.
27:32Yep.
27:32Goes underneath.
27:34Okay.
27:35Back over the top.
27:36Oh.
27:37Your tie a knot.
27:39It's like a cheeky bow tie.
27:42Okay.
27:43So, I'm going to put that one over.
27:44Cross.
27:45Under here.
27:47See it nice and tight.
27:49Right, and then take both your strands in front of you.
27:50Yeah, both strands in front.
27:52And then when you've got to the ends, you see, you can fold the ends together.
27:55And you trim away and diagonal.
27:57Away, diagonal.
27:58Okay.
27:59And away.
28:01Lovely.
28:01And you get that nice little finish at the end.
28:03And then once you've got it, you just lift that up.
28:05Oh.
28:06And then that's it.
28:07And that.
28:08Come on, that's pretty cool.
28:09That's the bow.
28:10Was that not super easy?
28:12Yeah, it really was.
28:12And very quick.
28:14Oh, yes.
28:16Hello.
28:16I love making the bows on the little trick with the two spoons.
28:20It's brilliant.
28:21So, I'll definitely be using that.
28:23Now, once you've got the technique, you can use that for any size bow.
28:26Okay.
28:27So, let's imagine you've got a lovely big wreath on the front of the door.
28:30And you want a beautiful, big double bow at the bottom.
28:32Right?
28:33Some nice big ribbon.
28:35Right.
28:36Now, you need a friend for this.
28:39Oh.
28:40Am I going to be the spoons?
28:41You are going to be the spoons.
28:43Okay.
28:44So, where you put your hands determines how big the bow is.
28:47So, here would be a small one.
28:49This would be a big wide one.
28:50Oh, yeah.
28:51So, it's the same way you stick the spoons.
28:53Yeah.
28:53All right.
28:53So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go around.
28:55Right.
28:55Hold them tight.
28:57Then I'm going to wrap around for a second one because we're going to go for a double bow.
29:00Oh.
29:00A little bit closer together, I think.
29:02Right.
29:02That's it.
29:03Right.
29:05We'll go over the back.
29:08Tie a knot.
29:08And then when you lift that off.
29:12Oh, wow.
29:13That looks so good.
29:15That really does look great.
29:17You'd pay a fortune for one of those on the chops.
29:20Yeah.
29:20And that took, what, 30 seconds?
29:22Yeah, yeah, yeah.
29:22It's cool.
29:23As long as you've got a little friend.
29:25Bravo.
29:27But our garland's not done yet.
29:30Next comes the most exquisite embellishment of all.
29:33We're going to make the iconic festive flower in felt, the poinsettia.
29:38To me, it's just the Christmas flower.
29:42My mum has one every year.
29:43Does she?
29:44Every year in the hallway.
29:45Yeah, my mum does.
29:46She loves it.
29:47Now, for this, you're going to want your glue gun.
29:51Yes.
29:52Yeah.
29:52And some bits of felt.
29:54Yes.
29:55And then these are the little templates I've cut out for you.
29:58Oh, thank you.
29:59Just have a little go at cutting them out.
30:04So you're just going around the shape of it, that's it?
30:06Just going around the shape.
30:07OK, I'm going to start with the yellow.
30:08Just a little bit like this.
30:11Do you know, I've never used a glue gun in my whole life long.
30:13Oh, you're going to love it.
30:14Every house needs a glue gun.
30:17Yeah?
30:18Yes.
30:18Right on.
30:19So, we'll start with our steaming in the middle.
30:21Yes.
30:22So you want the yellow bit.
30:23OK.
30:23And what I want you to do is we're going to put a line of hot glue along the edge.
30:28On the top.
30:29And then fold it in half so that it's stuck together down one edge like this.
30:35OK, so gentle squeeze.
30:37So then fold it over.
30:38Once we've got to this stage, what I'm going to do is I want you to cut up, but only to where we've got the glue.
30:44Oh, yeah, OK.
30:45OK.
30:47So not all the way through.
30:49So close to all the way through then.
30:54Right.
30:54Done.
30:55Right.
30:56We're going to put glue on the middle.
30:57And we're going to roll it up.
31:00Like this.
31:01So then we're rolling it tightly.
31:04Oh.
31:05You are quite the craft in this scarf.
31:08Oh.
31:09Yes.
31:10Yes.
31:11I think it's once you know what you're doing.
31:13Yeah.
31:14Just know and watch it and having the confidence.
31:16Just go for it.
31:17Oh.
31:17That looks very good.
31:18The king of crafting over there.
31:20Very, very good.
31:21Where's my crown?
31:23Oh, here it is.
31:23This is your crown.
31:25Right.
31:26So we should have three small petals.
31:28Yeah.
31:29Nine large petals.
31:30Yeah.
31:30Four leaves.
31:31We're going to put a little bit of glue in the middle like this.
31:35And we're just going to nip that together to form that ship.
31:38I really get into the concentration mode when I do this.
31:49Like just in the zone.
31:51Yeah.
31:52I love it.
31:53But right, controversial question.
31:54Go on.
31:54When does the tree go up?
31:58I like to put mine up quite early.
32:00What do you constitute as early?
32:03I would say the minute we hit November, that's it.
32:05It's going up.
32:06Wow.
32:06That is quite early.
32:08Yeah.
32:08I like that.
32:08Go big or go home.
32:09Yeah.
32:09We're pretty classic.
32:10Ours goes up, the tree goes up 1st of December.
32:13Okay.
32:131st of December, yeah.
32:14Yeah.
32:14When do you do yours, Sarah?
32:16As early as that, my husband will let me get away with it.
32:18So July.
32:19July.
32:19I've done all those.
32:27Right.
32:28Right, we're all good.
32:28Are we ready to go for it?
32:29Yes.
32:30We are.
32:30It's what happens now.
32:31So what we're going to do is we're going to start with our middle bit.
32:33Yeah.
32:33And then we're going to add a few of the small petals, then the larger ones, then the leaves
32:38around the outside.
32:39Okay.
32:40Okay.
32:40So just hold it upside down, ready?
32:42Yeah.
32:43A little bit of hot glue.
32:45This is the little one's first.
32:46Little red one.
32:47And it's facing upwards.
32:50Oh, wait, no.
32:50I think this is supposed to go the other way, right?
32:52What?
32:52Does the foldy bit go at the bottom?
32:55Yeah, yeah, yeah.
32:56No, but as in, I think you need to turn it inside.
32:58Oh!
33:00That's it.
33:01Thank heavens.
33:01What would I do without you?
33:02Thank you, Scarlett.
33:03You've already been fine, don't you?
33:04I would have made a complete fool of myself.
33:06Once you've got a few in place, they become easier to stick in between the gaps.
33:12Oh, so that's what you're now layering now.
33:13Now you're layering them.
33:14I've got more glue on my fingers, though.
33:16I've definitely got quite a lot of my fingers.
33:19Oh!
33:20That is fantastic.
33:21That's a really good one.
33:22These are coming together brilliantly.
33:23Yeah.
33:27I think the highlight of the garland for me was probably the poncettias that we made.
33:32Because they looked so good.
33:36That's so nice, yes.
33:37You two have done really well.
33:39Is this the first time you've worked with Felt?
33:41First time.
33:44I'm very pleased with her.
33:45It's for Sarah to judge, really, but I'm really happy with the outcome.
33:49For my first ever attempt, I'll take it.
33:52So good.
33:53They look brilliant.
33:55And then do you know what I think we'll do?
33:57Is we're going to add all of them onto the garlands.
33:59Yeah.
33:59If you just reach up and find a little spot, and then things like our poncettia, we're
34:04just going to add the hot glue on the back.
34:07Yes.
34:08And then just stick that in place with the hot glue gun.
34:10Right through.
34:12Look at these.
34:12Yes.
34:14Doesn't it look good?
34:16You could have this up the centre of the table.
34:19Yeah.
34:19You could have this over the half.
34:21So nice.
34:22Can you imagine this going up the staircase?
34:23This is fab.
34:25I mean, it's a celebration for Christmas.
34:27Yeah, the loved ones.
34:28Yeah.
34:28Thank you so much.
34:29What, put that one there?
34:30Yeah.
34:30Your work here is not done, though.
34:32Oh.
34:32I'm glad to hear it.
34:33No.
34:34I thought we could make some Christmas gifts.
34:36Hey.
34:37Yes.
34:38Okay.
34:38Wait till you see what I've got planned for you.
34:40Christmas is the right time to raise a glass, so I've got a fabulous festive drink to toast
35:00the season in style.
35:02So I thought I'd do the guys a little treat, and I love a mimosa.
35:05And I thought, what better than to have a beautiful orange rose mimosa planned for them?
35:10So, it's dead easy.
35:12Just going to take some oranges and cut them into thin slices.
35:17So around about, oh, I'd say about a third of an inch.
35:24And then on the bottoms, I'm just going to slice them off like this to make a bit of a crescent shape.
35:31So, you want a large in first, then a medium coming the other way, and then right in the middle,
35:42you want a cutie little small one.
35:45And I'm just layering them round each other to form that lovely little rose shape.
35:51Then, once you've got your oranges in like a rose shape, I'm just going to top them up
36:03just with water straight out the tap, and they'll pop in the freezer.
36:08And they should freeze perfect.
36:09And I mean, they look brilliant.
36:23And all I'm going to do is, silicon moulds are ideal.
36:27You see, you just place one in the glass.
36:29And the great thing is, you could use a bit of non-alcoholic fizz, a bit of tonic water for the kids.
36:47And that is my orange roast mimosa.
36:54Now let's see what our resident wine expert makes of my merry little mimosa.
36:59You guys have worked so hard.
37:03Hello.
37:04I thought we might have a little celebration.
37:07Little mimosa.
37:10Keep morale high.
37:11Oh, I'd love one of those.
37:12And make sure the last bit of crafting is on point.
37:14That's gorgeous.
37:15Did you know your ice cubes?
37:16That's so cool.
37:17So, here is the thing.
37:18I've crafted up the ice cubes.
37:20No way.
37:21Uh-huh.
37:22So that then all we do is add a little bit of champagne on top.
37:27Oh, look at that.
37:28Such a cool idea.
37:29And the mimosa happens in the glass.
37:32Isn't that so clever?
37:34They are a sure stopper at a party.
37:36I'm blown away.
37:38I'm wowed.
37:41To us.
37:42To us.
37:42To us.
37:43And our epic, epic crafting.
37:46Woo!
37:49It would just feel like a treat, doesn't it?
37:51Oh, that's lovely.
37:52I've got one last craft for us, and it's a really special one.
38:00I wanted to be able to teach you a nice gift that you could make.
38:02Yes.
38:02Because a homemade gift is so much nicer than whatever you're going to do shop-bought.
38:06So true.
38:07Now, we're going to do some glass paint.
38:09And the great thing is, you've probably got most of the stuff that you need at home.
38:12Right.
38:12But then for all of the extra bits that you need, you can just get them delivered.
38:16So here's my Amazon delivery.
38:18Hey!
38:18I ordered all the extra bits that I needed, some of the paintbrushes.
38:23These are called gilding flakes.
38:26And then you want this special, what's called relief paint.
38:31So this is going to go permanent on glass, OK?
38:34But before we do any glass painting, we're going to start with the gilding.
38:39OK.
38:39So it's up to you where you want to go, but I find maybe it's halfway up the stem to a little bit up here.
38:44OK?
38:44I'll put some of the special glue for gilding flakes.
38:48So we're going to dip the sponge in, and then we're just going to dab it on to the wine glass like this.
38:54OK.
38:55So what you should see is, as it's going on, it looks a little bit blue.
38:59Yeah.
39:00If it's blue, it's too sticky.
39:02We need to wait for it to dry, but it will dry too tacky.
39:06Then we can apply the gilding.
39:07So we'll know it's ready when it's gone completely clear.
39:10So you'll be able to hand wash these.
39:12No, that's brilliant.
39:12But you won't be able to put them in the dishwasher.
39:14OK, thanks.
39:14And everything will still stay on?
39:16And everything will still stay.
39:17That's amazing, OK.
39:18It's very cool.
39:19Now, do you think we should put them to one side and wait for the glue to dry?
39:21Yes.
39:21And do you want to practice the next technique?
39:24Let's do it.
39:25Don't mix them up with your mimosa.
39:27No, it won't do that.
39:28OK.
39:29What?
39:29Let's talk about mimosa.
39:30Yes, yes.
39:30Oh, yes, well, I'll follow.
39:32It's thirsty work, isn't it, this crafting?
39:34It's such thirsty work.
39:35Mm.
39:37Right.
39:37So, what we're going to do is we're going to paint Christmas trees.
39:42We're going to do it with a cocktail stick.
39:44OK.
39:44Once we've perfected it on the acetate, then you can do it on your glass.
39:48OK.
39:48I'm going to draw a little line.
39:51OK.
39:53And then I'm going to make it thicker at the bottom.
39:55With the cocktail stick, we're going to start.
39:58Top of the tree, just spread a little bit, and then widening it out.
40:03Oh.
40:04Widening it out.
40:06Widening it out.
40:07It's not going to be perfect first time.
40:09No.
40:09But then you can go back over it as many times as you want.
40:13That's really good.
40:14So, just take your time.
40:22Oh, I need to go bigger.
40:24OK, go bigger, go bigger, or go home.
40:28Oh, the gold's pretty good.
40:29Isn't it?
40:32Oh, gold.
40:33Hello, gold.
40:35Let's have a little look.
40:36How are your trees looking?
40:38Yeah.
40:39Yes!
40:40Getting there.
40:41Hey!
40:42Not bad at all.
40:43You know, they all look really good.
40:45OK, pop your acetate to one side, then.
40:47OK.
40:47And shall we check our glasses, see if they're ready to gild?
40:49Yes.
40:50Do it.
40:52Is it blue, or has it gone clear?
40:55Clear.
40:55Clear.
40:56Clear?
40:56Clear.
40:57Right, in that case, then, we're ready for the gilding flakes.
41:00Oh, my word.
41:00Right?
41:01Take the gilding flakes.
41:03We're going to pop them on and tap it into place.
41:05And don't worry if you get any gaps or whatever, because we just fill them in with little bits
41:16at the end.
41:17And what's nice is, it's never perfect.
41:20Each one you make will be different and unique.
41:23It's like this sort of magic fallen leaves, the last leaves of autumn into winter.
41:29So, when you get to the stage, then you start being quite aggressive and rubbing off all
41:33of the excess.
41:34It's like being quite brutal.
41:36I'm showing you who's boss, which is very rare for me.
41:38That is exactly what we need.
41:40Cowering in a corner.
41:41I mean, isn't that spectacular?
41:43So nice!
41:45Are we happy?
41:46Very happy.
41:47So happy.
41:47That's remarkable stuff.
41:49Once you get the gilding bug, you will be looking around to see what you can gild.
41:53I'm thinking of gilding Busby.
41:55I was thinking, that's him.
41:57He's going to need to run away from you.
41:58Give him a little golden beard.
42:01Do you think we can go and add the Christmas trees?
42:03Let's do it.
42:03Yes.
42:03So, same technique?
42:05Yes.
42:06Just like what we did, but you're just doing it on the glass this time?
42:09Yes.
42:13Oh.
42:16Confidence is key.
42:17Just keep working it.
42:18Keep working it.
42:22I'm thinking of getting the gold and putting a little star on the top of my head.
42:25Yes.
42:25Stop it.
42:26Absolutely.
42:27Borrow away.
42:28Right?
42:28Yes.
42:28Get in there.
42:29No problem.
42:30Now I'm getting into it.
42:30Now I'm getting creative.
42:32Yes.
42:32Just being able to make them each different, make them your own, drawing on them.
42:38I was making some little Christmas trees on my one, putting some little stars on them
42:41as well.
42:42That's beautiful.
42:43That looks nice even just with one on.
42:45Each one is different and I think that's what's really good.
42:47Little tree next.
42:49Big tree, little tree, cardboard box.
42:50I just have no idea what my family are going to say when they see this.
42:57They won't believe it for a start.
42:59They'll be like, no, you didn't do that.
43:00Someone else did it off camera.
43:02And when I give them little trinkets this Christmas, I just hope it lights up their world.
43:06So, Ollie.
43:08Hello.
43:08If this is what we're going to be drinking our rare Christmas wine in this year.
43:11Yeah.
43:12What wine would you suggest in these beautiful glasses?
43:15Oh, do you know what?
43:16If you're looking for a wine that's going to go with turkey and all the trimmings, it's
43:19a bit of a crowd pleaser.
43:20Yeah.
43:21Quite light in body that everyone's going to love.
43:23Bit of Pinot Noir from New Zealand.
43:25Oh.
43:26It's fruity with a bit of oomph.
43:27What about if we wanted a sparkler?
43:28Sparkler.
43:29Oh, it's got to be English Fizz.
43:30Got to be.
43:31Honestly, it's really great because we've got the climate for it and it's passion, it's
43:35dedication, it's people living with attention to detail, doing something they love and the
43:40results are off the chart.
43:42Well, aren't we a prime example of that now?
43:44Yes.
43:44Doing something we love with passion and getting the best results.
43:48Yes.
43:50That's what life should be about, isn't it?
43:53So, I've got mine done.
43:54Yours is looking fabulous there.
43:56And thank you seriously for all your kind guidance, it's been a hoot.
44:00Do you know what?
44:00I can teach anyone with this level of enthusiasm.
44:02If you've got the passion for it, you don't need to have the skill.
44:05The skill is what we're here to teach.
44:08I'm having a great day and I don't want it to end.
44:10Sarah is so good.
44:11She's a great teacher and even if something looks terrible, she'll make you feel like
44:15you've made an absolute masterpiece.
44:17It just makes you feel really proud once you've managed to do it.
44:20I think that's what happens when we get older, we feel like we don't want to make a mistake
44:23or you don't want to get embarrassed by doing something wrong.
44:26But actually, like you said with this, you can't really go wrong.
44:28You can't go wrong.
44:29And also, as we've shown, the more you practice, the better you get.
44:32The better you get, exactly.
44:33Absolutely.
44:34I mean, look how good those trees look.
44:35They look fab.
44:36They look brilliant on the first one.
44:37They look perfection by the last one.
44:39Yes, that's right.
44:39As I went round, they got better and better.
44:41I have loved every single minute.
44:45I've never thought of myself as an artist, but I'd love to think that I could maybe create
44:50something that would give a little bit of happiness to other people.
44:53That's what it's all about.
44:54Now, I was supposed to choose which one of you had crafted the best today.
45:01It's all right.
45:02It's all right.
45:05But honestly, I can't.
45:07You've both thrown yourselves into it.
45:09Aw, there's no way I could pick between you.
45:13Aw, thank you.
45:14You've both been absolutely brilliant.
45:15Yes.
45:16And do you know what's been the best thing for me?
45:18Seeing the look of pure joy on your faces.
45:20It has been unbelievably joyful.
45:23It's an early Christmas present.
45:25Tease to us, the epic crafters.
45:27Okay.
45:28Cheers.
45:28Cheers.
45:29Cheers.
45:29Cheers.
45:30The epic crafters.
45:31Cheers.
45:32Cheers.
45:35Scrumptious.
45:35Next time...
45:39Yes!
45:40..the Christmas party preparations continue...
45:43Tassel-tastic.
45:44It is tassel-tastic, Hilary.
45:46I love it.
45:48..with two more celebrity crafters...
45:51I think I might have blew my start at the table.
45:53Yes!
