00:00King of the Roads, so I ain't going home
00:04So I waste their time, cause I ain't going home
00:10King of the Roads, so I ain't going home
00:16No, no, no, no, no, no
00:30Well welcome back to South Wales and the second of our highlight shows looking back at the
00:362025 Aberdaer Park Road Races
00:41So far in the first six races we've seen high drama, intense battles and scorching lap times
00:46around the stunning setting that is Aberdaer Park, with its tree-lined roads and floral decoration
01:00Here then is how the sub-mile track looks as it winds around ponds through trees and navigates
01:06tricky undulation, the shortest circuit on the King of the Roads calendar, this Victorian
01:11landmark turned high-octane motorsports venue is not short on top speed, with bikes often
01:17braking the 130 mile an hour mark
01:20A long list of overtaking opportunities includes Turn 1 at Rosaries and the braking zone into
01:27paddock bend after the back straight, so we should be in for plenty of road racing action
01:35That is the track and this is the grid where the first bikes are lining up
01:40It's time for the first CB500 and Bandit race of the day
01:45Tough Films Limited CB500 at Bandit time here at Aberdaer Park
01:50On pole position for this one is Martin Robbins with Adam Shelton and Lee Davis on the front row
01:55Then Richard Hughes, Richard Blunt and Adrian O'Connor on road two
01:58Behind those, Owen Monaghan and John McCluskey
02:01And what have we got here Chris Farmer?
02:03Yes, CB500 twin-cylinder 500 four-cylinder up against four-cylinder 600cc Suzuki Bandits
02:12Pretty evenly matched?
02:13It should be, I think the CB will be a little bit more nimble and lighter on the brakes
02:19Whereas the Suzuki four-cylinders will be a little bit more heavier and harder to handle
02:24Especially around the park
02:25Richard Blunt there on bike 13, looming interview but it's Adam Shelton out front on the CB500
02:32Yeah, Adam's a well-known CB500 winner so yeah, he knows these bikes really well
02:37So yeah, it's a different riding style needed for these
02:41Yeah, obviously no fairings on them so yeah, you're out in the wind a little bit
02:46But really, I think a really nice bike to ride really predictable
02:50Again, you know, yeah, quite light, good spread of power as well, you know, nothing to catch you out
02:56So quite, quite narrow tyres to be fair
02:58Lee Davis there on the 600 just pulling away slightly up over the start finish
03:03But it is Shelton out front from Richard Hughes on the CB500
03:07We're back with Davies as number 13 Richard Blunt is behind and he's involved in his own scrap
03:15Somebody taking a dive up the inside there
03:17Number 16 we've got there Owen Monaghan, the little 125 rider from previous races
03:23Yeah, pushing up the inside so
03:25He's involved in plenty of races here this weekend
03:27He's getting plenty of money for his entry
03:29Lee Davis there on bike 89 then that we're with on the 600
03:34Yeah, Richard Blunt number 13 there
03:36I think he's got the biggest numbers in the paddock
03:38The biggest front number board of the biggest numbers number 13 there
03:41So we won't we won't miss his number
03:43Monaghan tried to make a run up the inside of Blunt over the start finish up Swallow straight
03:47But it didn't quite work
03:49So you'll have to have a think once again
03:52Edwin O'Connor there on 1-1-1
03:54That's one of the Bandits 600s
03:56And Davies and Monaghan continue to have this little fight
04:00Yeah, Richard
04:01Sorry mate, Richard Hughes there number 383
04:03He took in a really wide line into that left-hander after the tight right
04:06So trying to get a slingshot through
04:08And back up we go over Swallow straight and it was
04:11Monaghan trying to have a look once again, but it just hasn't quite got the power
04:15He's going round the outside though. Can he make it stick? No, he can't
04:19Back up the inside
04:20Oh, maybe up the inside and Richard Blunt is looking racy now as well
04:23As we're getting a full screen view of him
04:26The big number 13 there, obviously not superstitious
04:29So that looks like Lee Davies has maybe dropped a place there
04:33Out front it is still Adam Shelton
04:37They make their way around past the little lake
04:41383 is Hughes and 111 is O'Connor
04:46Adam Shelton there's pulling a major lead now
04:48It looks like nobody can really live with the speed he's pulling at the moment
04:52These two are in a battle for second then Hughes and O'Connor
04:56Lee Davies once again sees a bike come up the outside of him
05:00Yeah, Richard Blunt there was making a move around the outside
05:02And that is Monaghan I think he suddenly has appeared on the back of these two
05:09It is indeed
05:11Right with them so the scrap four second and third now is a three-rider fight
05:17Carry on it's a 10-lap race and Monaghan's making great progress
05:22The lost loses a little bit on the run up over the start finish but his racecraft will just bring him back into it for the rest of the lap
05:29So tight round here to pass there's Shelton pulling away just pulling a big lead
05:34You can tell by his riding style there is he's pushing really hard and he's really confident and comfortable on that bike
05:40B we join him on board now as we push on through his final couple of bends
05:46Close to the bails there
05:47Yeah it was you can see the camber in the road it's really important to hook into that camber
05:51There we are checker flag for Adam Shelton who takes the victory but what's going to happen in this battle for second into the final corner it comes
05:58Monaghan's got himself up to third oh and that's where it's going to end he's not quite got enough time
06:03to get past Richard Hughes so Hughes takes second behind Shelton then Monaghan then Adrian O'Connor
06:08Richard Blunt and Lee Davies
06:10The second dominant performance in his many race and Shelton on the CB500 he leaves Aberdaire with a commanding
06:20overall victory in class
06:21The Welsh Open final for Sunday coming up one of the big races here at Aberdaire Park it was Ryan Dixon who took the victory
06:28yesterday will he be able to back it up and do the double
06:30And it's Ryan Dixon on pole from Andrew Smart and Joey Lambden, William Holland, Justin Collins and Will Birchall on row two
06:39Row three brings us Brindad, Noor and Rayner, Gones, Williams and Nelms on row four
06:48Andrew Smart really has to try and go again again he's got the jump
06:52He's got the drive off the line Andrew Smart's trying to stick with him this time but no look at that Justin Collins coming down the outside
06:58Looks like Smart maybe just has enough to maintain that second place he does with Justin Collins right behind him
07:05So Dixon is away and clear from Smart but no Smart can close back in over the second part of this lap
07:11We've seen it time and again this weekend then a little bit of a gap to Justin Collins holding on to that third place
07:17Yeah Justin Collins is riding really well this year much better than his results and lap times last year
07:23William Holland showing in fourth there at the moment on this opening lap as they make their way around
07:29So yeah there we see Smart has closed Dixon down straight away
07:33Made it pay the previous one and what can he do in this Welsh Open final it is over these 12 laps
07:41So they make their way out onto lap two
07:44There's Collins behind with William Holland behind him then Will Birchall just behind Holland in fifth
07:50That's the front two who are just making that little bit of a break already
07:54It's a similar pattern that we have seen pretty much all weekend Dixon and Smart just that touch
07:58clear of the rest Smart was really right up alongside there
08:01He was right alongside
08:03Let's see whether or not that has paid dividends further out around the lap it hasn't
08:07He's had to just pull it back in but he's right with Dixon the race leader here as they head out on two
08:13Complete two of the 12 laps so let's hope this becomes a similar thriller to the previous one
08:19Let's just have a look at we see the first flying laps they're into 39 fives at the moment
08:28But again Smart always seems to catch him just at the top of that straight there
08:32And into the again, he takes the wide line in and the late apex gets the drive on catches him right there
08:38Stairs out a little bit wide then brings it back in for a late apex again to get the drive down the hill towards the last corner before the start finish
08:45Great place Dixon now to complete another lap
08:54Have a look at the lap time this time it's a 39-2 so they're coming down by 10.2 of a second
09:01Smart though is right with him and then Justin Collins continues to hold on to third in behind this battle for the lead that we've got between Dixon and Smart of the Welsh Open the final
09:10The final race for the Welsh Open that we had together I think for two times from yesterday's result
09:18Today's result to get an overall aggregate on the Welsh Open winner but in this race
09:22It's Dixon and Smart back out of front going at it once again Smart lining up on the outside
09:28He's not going to make that work yet again. We know that and he must know that by now as well Chris
09:32Yeah, but you know, it's just his preference. I think it's the same as that tear the tight right-hander
09:40He's got the preference of going wide and getting the slingshot out of it
09:43It might just be the way his bike is obviously this the leading bike is a three-cylinder quite a narrow triumph as opposed to across the frame for
09:51636 Kawasaki so it might just be the way the bike feels and how he likes it
09:55We're on a 39 dead from Dixon almost a 39 dead from Dixon so he's right on the pace as well
10:04Andrew Smart's a 39-1 so they're not far away
10:10It was when he got a little bit further back into the previous one found himself some clear air and then suddenly closed right back in from about a second and a half back
10:17Maybe Dixon is just stopping smart from showing that same kind of pace in this welsh open final
10:23He's got all side he's alongside. Oh hang on something's up to Dixon
10:26That is a lead change then almost like we've said that pressure has told smart goes up to the front from
10:32He's pulling out shaking his head
10:34Technical problem by the looks of it for Dixon he's not happy with that smart then goes out into the lead
10:41He's got that clear track down and ride his own race and do his own thing and we'll see where the lap times can get to there is Dixon
10:47He is continuing. I don't quite get that but I don't know what's what could have affected him
10:53Affected him that much. No, he's pulled over there
10:55So it's William Holland who's now going to be up to second then and Will Birchall and Justin Collins. Justin Collins has been shuffled down to fifth place
11:03In fact, we've got to have Dixon just ahead of them
11:06So I think at the end of this lap, we will see it will be smart from Holland from Birchall from Dixon
11:11Potentially depending on whether he pulls out or not then Justin Collins then Michael Knorr
11:16So Dixon then does look to be carrying on
11:19There's the battle now for second place between Holland and Birchall
11:23Birchall is right with
11:25Holland
11:26As they push themselves on out through
11:31Big race happening here now
11:32Can you get a drive? Pets the front wheel just in the air slightly to come up over the ride
11:37Holland the Briggs
11:3893, Birchall goes up the inside
11:40makes it work I think he's gonna hold it
11:42He's turned in tight
11:44Holds on too that's uh
11:46takes that second place from Holland
11:50Last lap flag
11:52There is our race leader Andrew Stark
11:55He's got to make one more point nine of a mile circuit to complete the Welsh Open
12:03Great results potentially coming as you're catching traffic
12:07Smart
12:07He knows he doesn't need to do anything he's got near 10 second advantage
12:11He might not know that of course
12:13He carries on rolling around 38.9 has been his fastest lap of the race
12:19Here he comes
12:20And into the final part of the lap
12:24It's going to be Welsh Open for Andrew Smart
12:27Fantastic what great results for him
12:29Andrew Smart on the Kawasaki by eight and a half seconds over Will Birchall
12:34who had William Holland right with him on the Suzuki 4 company
12:38then Justin Collins behind that finishes in four
12:40right Dixon does get finished on the tri-fix Moto2 machine down in fifth place
12:46A great race with loads of potential there between Dixon and Smart as we've seen all weekend
12:52but it's Smart that comes out the victor in Welsh Open race two
12:56It's time for the lightweight class coming up after the break
12:59Welcome back to Aberdeer in Wales where the lightweights are already rolling to the grid
13:12Lightweights back on track here then at Aberdeer Park as we join Lewis Jones
13:18got into his place on the grid
13:23On the front row Chris Northover and John Cook and Richard Parker
13:27then on the second row Phil Munday, Lewis Jones and Philip Smallman
13:31Row three Jones, Neil and Edwards and row four Davies, Bradshaw and Taylor
13:37Away we go, it's a good start there for 201, that's Richard Parker on the TZ350
13:44It is yeah, but number three Ty Jones, oh he went up, he went for it and then the TZ350 went round the outside of him there, number 201 there, Richard Parker
13:53Parker gets away from a Jones and then Lewis Jones on the KTM slots into third, first time through church and now up into paddock
14:02Beyond and he's just making a little bit of a breakout front here is Parker
14:07Yes he's pushing for it isn't he
14:09In behind the two Joneses, Ty Jones and Lewis Jones having a battle, the Kawasaki against the KTM as we join Lee Davies
14:16He's got that man Owen Monaghan, oh that was close
14:19Right up, oh tried it and had to back out of it actually, couldn't make it stick
14:24The little 125 won't have the horsepower but it looks like he's going around the outside but
14:28Can he be, I don't think he'll have the horsepower to hold him off on the straight, he might get him at the end on the brakes
14:33He's certainly got a wheel in front
14:34And he does
14:35Made it stick, well done, great overtake
14:38Wow he's on it now, Monaghan making his way up through and he's on to the next man
14:43Lewis Jones battling with Ty Jones, Lewis the KTM gets past
14:48Yep
14:48And that's up into second place
14:50So great move by Lewis Jones there, Richard Parker out front at the moment from
14:58These two battling for second
14:59Gone up the inside, what's happening there?
15:03On the start, oh he's got the faster bike hasn't he, so yeah
15:07The Kawasaki just taking pace over the KTM there, up over Swallow straight
15:12And then Lewis Jones stops into third now
15:16Keep an eye on him
15:18Richard Parker's TZ, 1980s, early 80s is that bike so
15:22It's going really well, he's riding it well
15:24Fettling it well and riding it well
15:26If these two Jones boys continue to do battle
15:30Over the top
15:32Not letting Parker get too far ahead, he's a new bike when it's gone
15:36These two Jones boys just each having the fight
15:41You can see the race leader just up ahead
15:43As we look back from Lee Davies, Graham Neal
15:46The four strokes will have good drive off the corners, you see
15:48Good acceleration
15:50Looking back at the Yamaha 400 at Graham Neal
15:57Over the top we go
15:59Once more and this battle continues for second place
16:02And we've got Monaghan closing in as well on this
16:05He's getting right with them
16:06I think they're catching Parker on the straight there
16:09Here comes the little 1-2-5 again, look
16:11Huge momentum up over the start-finish straight there
16:14And has he gone, has he got through on the inside?
16:16I think he's made a stick
16:17Yeah
16:17Oh, impressive stuff up to third place
16:20And he's right in behind Ty Jones now, so this is interesting
16:24They've caught 2-0-1, they've caught Parker here
16:26They have
16:26Caught him right up, he had quite a sizeable lead
16:30That's been slashed
16:31As these two now
16:33It's sent
16:33Boring line here
16:36Parker, Ty Jones, Monaghan and Lewis Jones
16:39The four of them together
16:40A four-way scrap in the lightweight race
16:44Monaghan's the one who looks possibly the most racy in third place there
16:47And there's traffic up ahead
16:48This is going to be interesting
16:49This is going to sort them out here
16:51Parker then, oh, loses the lead there
16:54Ty Jones moves up into the lead into turn one
16:56On lap eight or ten
16:58And this is going to be critical here because this is where they're catching this guy
17:01Can they, they won't all pass him surely on this one straight
17:04Surely not
17:05There's three of them through
17:06One's stuck
17:08There, three of them there
17:10Just gives them the opportunity to take the break over Lewis Jones
17:13Who's at the back of that pack
17:14He gets past now
17:16So he's just got a little bit of work to do to catch up on the other three
17:19But the four of them are right together at the front
17:21Look at this, all sorts of different lines going on
17:24Ty Jones then out front
17:26But more traffic as well
17:29That is the thing with a nine tenths per mile circuit
17:31You're going to have traffic
17:34How you deal with it
17:34They're coming up past Chris Pettit
17:37He's at 3.50 of Richard Parker
17:39He's a little bit out of shape over that break on the bumps there
17:43And Jones makes his way
17:44Lewis Jones rather makes his way past the traffic as well
17:47And again, we've got more
17:50Colin Jones then the race leader makes his way past
17:53Gets through nicely, he's moved over nicely
17:55That's great riding
17:56What's going on there
17:57So, Parker and Jones
18:00Now it's a proper head-to-head here
18:02Davis and Graham Neal
18:04Neal trying to make the move there around the outside
18:06Couldn't make that stick
18:07Have to think of again
18:08But out front
18:09Then it is Ty Jones on the Kawasaki
18:11Gets the last lap flag
18:13And then behind that, Parker and Monaghan
18:19No, not really a break at all back to Lewis Jones
18:21He's closed right back in as well
18:22Despite having the issue with the traffic earlier on
18:25So these ones out front
18:26Richard Parker's closing in
18:28He's closing in
18:28Can he make it stick?
18:30He's had a go
18:31Oh, he's had a go
18:32They've come together
18:33Oh, they've both gone down
18:35Both of them down
18:36And that means Owen Monaghan leads the race now
18:39It does the little one-two-five
18:41Has now taken the lead in front of the KTM
18:45And gets the checkered flag
18:47Takes the win
18:47Fantastic
18:48What a great win
18:49Two of them, what happened here, Chris?
18:51He just went for the inside
18:52Couldn't make it
18:52It was too tight for him
18:54And he just tagged him on the inside
18:56And took them both out
18:56The main thing is both of them up and okay
18:59And it gives victory to Owen Monaghan on the one-two-five
19:02From Lewis Jones on the KTM
19:04Then John Cook, Phil Munday, Lee Davies, Graham Neal, Daniel Edwards, Chris Pettit
19:10And Joe Taylor round out the rest of the finishes
19:13What drama on that final lap
19:16Next up, it's the first of our finals from today
19:18Where the best in the Twins go head-to-head
19:21Time for the Super Twins final there next
19:2312 laps this time
19:24As long as we go here at Aberdeer Park
19:27On pole, William Holland on the Suzuki
19:29Then Andrew Smart and Potty Williams
19:30Then Max Taylor, Jack Andrews and Alex Sinclair on row two
19:34Row three brings us Morris Smallman and Carson
19:37And row four for Doran, Matthews and Owen Monaghan
19:40Green flag waves at the back
19:45Watch the lights
19:47Rebs rise
19:49Go!
19:50And who's going to make the start?
19:52It looks like Sinclair made a good start
19:54Right up front from the middle of row one
19:56But I think Holland has come around the outside there
19:59He has, he's really got the second stage of that start
20:02Perfectly, look at that, superb
20:04And then Andrew Smart flocks into third
20:06Who we're with now
20:07Closing right in on Sinclair
20:12Then we're back to Suzuki, Aprilia, Yamaha
20:14So all the manufacturers well supported here
20:17I think a real good view of Sinclair's rear tyre as well
20:20As we go on up into this first lap of 12 for this race
20:26Sinclair on the Aprilia then, Smart for company
20:29Right for company, what can he do up over Swallow Straight
20:34As Holland makes a real stretch up at the front already
20:38Suzuki seems to drive so well up there
20:41Out of the corners, so yeah, really good
20:44Smart then, pushing, pushing, pushing
20:47Can he push Sinclair into a mistake?
20:49Or can he find a spot to make a move?
20:51That's what Smart's looking for on the R7
20:54Because he'll want to try and get past Sinclair if he can
20:56To try and get to race leader Holland
20:58Have to take that wider line there that we've seen all weekend from Smart
21:01Yeah
21:02It's definitely the faster line
21:04But it just opens you up for an overtake if anybody wants to dive up the inside
21:09Holland out front from these two
21:11He's definitely looking racy here, he's smart
21:13He wants to try and make the move that he can
21:15Just quite hasn't got the grunt to get to the Aprilia
21:19Closes in on the brakes
21:22I don't think Robbie Sylvester's fully got that R7 sorted yet
21:25I think it's only down about 93 horsepower compared to some of the
21:28100 horsepower, other bikes, but there's a work in progress
21:33The difference doesn't it, Holland then leading for Sinclair
21:35Then Smart and then Jack Andrews and Max Taylor in fourth and fifth
21:40Smart once again looking at a different line
21:42Always tries that slightly wider line
21:44Out through Buckley's and up over Fountain
21:48Does allow him to get that little bit more pace onto the start finish
21:51But then not quite able to just maintain it on Swallow straight
21:58And then has to do the work again up through the back part of the circuit here
22:01Sinclair charging away, he's in second place
22:05Oh Smart has closed right in this time
22:08Can he do anything?
22:09He prefers the wider line with the late apex here again
22:12Look, he's doing it again
22:14Great for lap times, but just you just can't get the pass there
22:17Lines you up for a good pass through here if you can get up the inside, but it's a tight line
22:22You're almost reliant on the person in front just making a mistake
22:25Absolutely, yeah
22:27So Smart can stick right with him again
22:29We've seen every lap so far
22:31Sinclair's bike just pulls away that bike length on the straight once again
22:35I remember Andrew Smart's trying out this electric solenoid gear shift
22:41Obviously, he's got an ankle injury from a past injury, a past accident
22:44So he's literally changing gear with electric buttons
22:47So very difficult round here, I would say
22:50Yeah, a lot to do round here just riding the bike
22:52Never mind trying to think of all that
22:54He closes back in this time
22:55Has he got an opportunity?
22:57Looks like he has
22:58Maybe from traffic
23:00There's not enough room, is there?
23:02See how tight it is down through here, down to the start finish
23:05It's incredibly tight
23:06He tried, he tried, didn't he?
23:08As Holland is making his way through the traffic as well
23:10Our race leader
23:12Traffic certainly may be playing a part in plenty of races round here
23:15He's out onto the final lap on the Suzuki
23:17William Holland doesn't seem to let the traffic bother him
23:19He just scythes past them, doesn't he?
23:21Doesn't bother him in the slightest
23:22But will it create an opportunity in this battle for second and third
23:25between Sinclair and Smart?
23:27Could do
23:27Just wait and see as they make their way round this final lap
23:31There is our race leader
23:33William Holland on the Suzuki
23:36It's the battle for second though that really isn't interesting
23:39Because Holland's gone
23:39He's well up the road here really
23:42He's about to take the checkered flag
23:43Victory for William Holland on the Suzuki
23:46But what's happening behind?
23:48There is traffic
23:50Can he do it? Can he do it? Can he do it? Smart?
23:52No, not quite
23:54Positioned remain as they were
23:56So Holland takes the victory from Alex Sinclair
23:59Then Andrew Smart
24:00Four for Max Taylor
24:01Fifth for Jack Andrews
24:02And behind those sixth to tenth
24:04Dave Carlson
24:05Aaron Matthews
24:05Shane Doran
24:06Owen Monaghan
24:07And Liam Walker
24:08It's now time to cool off a bit
24:11But do join us after the break
24:12For Supersport 600s going hell for leather
24:15Around this tight and twisty Abadair Park course
24:25Welcome back to highlights of the 2025 Abadair Park road races
24:29Where the Supersport 600s are preparing for their final outing of the weekend
24:34In the heats before this last clash
24:35Andrew Smart and Ryan Dixon appear to be in a class of their own
24:39But it's still all to play for
24:42Supersport's back on track here for 12 laps of Abadair Park
24:47As we head to the grid we see Justin Collins there lining up
24:50Andrew Smart we're on board with
24:52He'll be one of the front runners as well
24:53Ryan Dixon there comes to pole position
24:57And then he has Smart and Collins for company on row one
25:00Will Birchall, Michael Moore and Austin Webster on row two
25:04Row three has Rayner, Jones and Jones
25:07Lewis and Ty Jones
25:08Then row four, Williams, Scott Wolfe and Dave Carson
25:12Watch for the start
25:15Good start by Collins
25:17Ted Dixon's normally the man who makes a lightning start here
25:20We're on board with Lewis Jones
25:23Who is Dixon's teammate in the trick fits camp
25:27And it is Dixon who's made the shot
25:31Got himself out front
25:32Andrew Smart where looking back from
25:34Will Birchall in Biano just gone past Justin Collins there
25:38Up to second place for Dixon for Smart straight away
25:41Wants to try and get to Dixon the race leader
25:44Then Collins and then Will Birchall behind that as the rest of them come through
25:47Justin Collins is riding very well this meeting
25:51He is Ryan Dixon out front
25:55Familiar position for Ryan Dixon but Smart will want to try and get the better of him he can
26:01Smart did beat him at one point last year here
26:03He'll want to try and repeat that if he possibly can
26:06I think Andrew Smart's done a gearing change to try and give himself more punch out of the corners
26:10So let's see if this makes a difference
26:12Obviously yeah sorry sorry that Andrew Smart obviously riding with right hand gear shift on this bike because of his ankle injury
26:23Dixon looking composed out front but Smart is right there with him trying that familiar line that we've seen all weekend from him
26:29Fakes a wider line out through the top of Bounton
26:32Does but it gives him a later apex to get the drive on down the hill towards the start finish
26:37Smart did beat Dixon in the heats for this final it was a good victory for him and then Justin Collins won his heat
26:45Looked like he'd gone wide there
26:47He has Andrew Smart's run wide nearly into the bales
26:50That'll give Dixon the chance just to try and extend this lead a little bit and if he want him to do that if he possibly can
26:55It is Dixon from Smart with Justin Collins, Will Birchall and Michael Knorr rounding out the top five
27:01Nice wide line through the right hander as he normally does
27:04Gives him good drive it's good for lap times
27:07There might be we haven't seen the gap yet though
27:10Dixon just took advantage of that running wide into that last corner there
27:16Right behind Collins in this battle for third and fourth
27:19Can he do something about it up over the start finish he's going to try
27:22Hasn't quite got the pull though Collins just stays well ahead there in third as they go down into turn one different lines
27:30Will it pay any dividends as they head out through church and then up up the hill towards paddock
27:34Nope they maintain station Collins from Birchall in third and fourth with Dixon and Smart battling away at the front
27:41But next to pick up the back between Collins and Birchall once more
27:50I think to see the gap between the leader really where are we
27:54These third and fourth place men continuing to have their scrap as they go around
28:03Meantime news on a lap record I think
28:05Yes there is
28:06Yeah and Andrew Smart has actually broken the outright lap record as well as the 600 lap record
28:11So he's taken it down to a 38.481 from an outright 38.7 and a Supersport 38.9 so
28:20He's smashed the lap record and he's right back on the back of Dixon now
28:23Can he make it stick here? Can he find somewhere to make a move? He's got the pace we know that he's set the lap record
28:31Can he up it here? Can he take it to Dixon in this Supersport final?
28:36He's taken a big chunk out of Dixon but there's still a little bit of a gap for him to take up
28:40It's so hard to pass round here so it's just it's all right being as quick or quicker but you've got to make that pass
28:46All the pace in that Kawasaki what can he do against the triumph he's going to have a look
28:50He's trying that outside line again we'll bring him back for a late apex get drive down the hill
28:55Down past that bumpy little drain there onto the start finish can he get the drive out
28:59He looks composed up front doesn't he we're out onto the 10th lap of 12
29:06Mark just tries to show an outside line that'll give him a bit more speedy go that's maybe allowed it
29:11Yeah oh Dixon's bike just a problem there maybe for Dixon
29:15He has he's put his hand up but nothing we can't take anything away from Andrew Smart smashing the lap record
29:20But something definitely went wrong with Ryan Dixon's bike there he put his hand up didn't he to indicate
29:25Yeah that was a great race that's just been a little bit spoiled there Smart now is out in front
29:30There is Lewis Jones on the other trick bit spike
29:33Making his way around so Smart now out front and it's whether or not Collins and Birchall in that battle
29:39Could get close to a Dixon in the third the second rather
29:48This will be a fantastic result for Andrew Smart if he can take this
29:52Pushing his way up the inside there
29:54A race leader and we're not sure we think Dixon has continued here
29:59So Dixon continue to hold on to second at the moment from Collins and Birchall
30:03But obviously a technical problem for Ryan Dixon
30:09The Smart makes his way around to take the chequered flag and take victory in the super sport
30:14He's just got this final couple of low left-handers to do and the chequered flag awaits
30:20There we are what a great win for Andrew Smart and a lap record
30:23Outright lap record here at Aberdeer Park for Andrew Smart
30:28Brian Dixon did complete in second but 16 seconds down
30:32Justin Collins continued to get the better of Will Birchall in third and fourth
30:35Then Michael Knorr in clear fostering Webster
30:37Lewis Jones, Adam Rayner, Nicky Williams and Daniel Nelms
30:41Andrew Smart there not only taking the win outpacing Ryan Dixon
30:45But setting a new lap record in the process
30:48Back to the grid and the classic superbike class is getting ready for a 10 lapper
30:52So far Alex Sinclair has looked unstoppable on the Ducati
30:55But what can the field do to stop him this time round?
31:01On pole, it'll be Alex Sinclair, then Paul Williams and Will Birchall
31:05Chris Northover, Dean Radcliffe and Owen Monaghan on row two
31:09Row three has Parker Smallman and Bishop and then Monday Hawkins and Hewitt on row four
31:15And Paul Focci Williams a notable name in this one Chris
31:18Yes, he's on a 750 Kawasaki
31:20It'll be a little bit heavy around here
31:21But the Ducati of Sinclair got a good push off the line there
31:25We are looking at Williams, Pocci Williams
31:28As he does try to make the move down into the inside
31:30But not able to make a stick there
31:32So Sinclair's got himself away on the Ducati against the Kawasaki
31:36He has and the Ducati will have less horsepower
31:39But it'll be more nimble, lighter, narrower
31:41So it should get stopped a little bit earlier
31:43Yeah, it'll just be more nimble round here
31:46But the Kawasaki will have a lot more horsepower
31:48When it comes to the start finish straight
31:49And a bike that Pocci has plenty of experience on with the Classic TT
31:53Yeah, absolutely
31:55Behind that we're seeing Shannon Bishop there leading out this gaggle
31:58And Owen Monaghan at the back
31:59Owen Monaghan seems to be in pretty much every race here at Aberdeer Park today
32:04It'll be interesting to see how the little 125 goes on
32:07Because they're really nimble round here
32:09Pocci then looking to make a move
32:10Yeah, there goes the power of the 750 down the start finish straight there
32:14Can he get it stopped? No, yes
32:18That's close
32:20Ran it wide and then just came back across Sinclair to make the move stick
32:24So Paul Pocci Williams up into the lead on the second lap
32:27And now it's whether or not Sinclair can do anything about it on the Ducati
32:32Sinclair's been going quite tight through that corner in previous races
32:35But he's now opened it up and taken the late apex to try and get the run and the speed against the 750
32:41Williams has only joined into the meeting this morning
32:43Missed the opening day but already out front in his opening race
32:51Looking to try and pull away a little bit here if he can
32:53But Sinclair's desperate to stick with him
32:55Third lap of ten
32:57Sinclair closing right in
32:59Oh, not going to be able to make anything happen there
33:02As they move into the right-hander at Foggy's
33:05Both 750s but one's a V-twin and one's a four-cylinder across the frame
33:09So yeah quite a different variant in motorcycles here
33:14Back out onto Swallow straight to go one more time
33:16And this time Williams just looks to have a bike length for two more doesn't he
33:19Yeah, you can see the horsepower there stretching away can't you
33:23He's got to ride his own race massively experienced around here as well as Williams
33:26But Sinclair is trying to do his best
33:28Trying to find different lines just to be able to get a different line of approach
33:31And attack if he can
33:33See what he can do as they make their way up over the top into Paddock one more time
33:37Sinclair right with him can he do anything into Foggy's
33:40Has a little bit of a look but not close enough to be able to do anything there
33:43Go out through Fountain
33:45Down into the start finish for another lap
33:47There'll be quite a weight difference here though
33:49The big the 750 four-cylinder be quite a lot heavier than the V-twin Ducati
33:53So that's why the Ducati looks a little bit more nimble through the corners and on the brakes
33:57But look at the speed difference with the 750 Kawasaki going up the start finish there
34:01He has that advantage every lap and then Sinclair tends to close back in through this back part of the circuit
34:06Yeah, he does down through the tight twisty stuff
34:09We're out on two lap five, half-race distance almost
34:13And there's the gap
34:14Oh, they're finding traffic already
34:1613 there was Richard Blunt that they were coming past
34:20Is this going to create an opportunity for Sinclair perhaps?
34:22And there's not much room through there, you know
34:24There really isn't, it's really tight
34:26That was Tim Hawkins we were just passing there on the Ducati as well
34:30But look at that, it's actually worked in Pochi's favour here
34:34He's opened up an extended lead now over Sinclair
34:36It has, but can Sinclair pull it back on the tight twisty stuff?
34:40Quite a big ask really looking at that gap, but you never know, he might pull it back
34:43He's working hard though Sinclair, isn't he? He's going to try, that's for sure
34:46Yeah, very
34:47Williams then composed out front
34:50Probably won't be aware that he's got as big a lead as he's got
34:53He probably still thinks it's only a couple of bike lengths maybe
34:55But Sinclair will do his best, but out front it is Williams
35:00And then Richard Parker holding on to third
35:01And then Shannon Bishop in fourth, both on Hondas
35:06Williams then takes, well goes through to the final lap anyway
35:10Takes the final lap flag
35:11Like you said, he won't even know, I don't think he's got this gap
35:14So he'll still keep pushing, I'm sure
35:17Traffic created the opportunity and he took it
35:21Used all his experience just to push on by well
35:23A dozen or so bike lengths at least now, but he is ahead
35:26And he's just got to cruise around this final lap
35:28Make no mistakes, keep it neat and tidy
35:31And be able to take that checkered flag
35:33A little bit more defensive through there
35:35And then you'll use the camber of the road here
35:37Almost like a berm on a motocross bike
35:39You really hook into the, there you go through that berm there
35:42Miss the drain on the right-hand side there
35:44And then down through the bumpy left-hander onto the start finish
35:48Checkered flag time then
35:49Paul Bochy-Williams takes the victory on the Cowards
35:52Zachy from Alex Sinclair's Ducati
35:54Owen Monaghan in third on the little 125
35:57Then Shannon Bishop and Tim Hawkins round out the top five
36:01After the break, all the top riders at Aberdeer go head-to-head in one last race
36:06The Dave Morgan Invitation Race
36:08The picturesque Aberdeer Park Road Races have provided a great number of thrilling races
36:20But sadly, we only have one left to come
36:23The Dave Morgan Invitation Race
36:25Final race of the day then the Dave Morgan Invitation Race
36:30Dave Morgan, a long association with the club
36:33One of those responsible for this meeting
36:34Off to Webster on pole from Andrew Smart and Shane Doran
36:37Will Birchall, Ty Jones and Tim Hawkins on row two
36:40The row three brings us Lee Davies, Lewis Jones and Aaron Matthews
36:44And on row four, Daniel Norrish, Ryan Dixon all the way back here and Nicky Williams
36:50Smart making a cracking start there
36:52He did
36:53And away he goes with Dixon's coming from all the way back on row four
36:56So he's making life hard for himself here
36:58It looks like Smart has got the jump
37:01And that's the first time he's actually led off the line I think this weekend
37:04Will Birchall floating into second place as we join Lewis Jones on the Trick Bits Triumph
37:10On board to see how much you have to work around this nine tenths of a mile circuit
37:15So physical, really is
37:17Change of direction, uphill, downhill
37:20Missing the drains and the straw bales
37:22And this is a race where you can ride what you want really
37:25Super Sport or Super Twins
37:26Yeah, we have
37:28We've got Super Twins, we've got 600 Bandits
37:33What else have we got? R6s, we've got Triumph 675s
37:36Yeah, all sorts of stuff in this
37:38And there is Dixon trying to make progress immediately
37:41He's up with Will Birchall at the moment
37:43He's past Will Birchall
37:44So Dixon is up to second place
37:47I think behind Andrew Smart already
37:49Coming from row four
37:51Really impressive stuff
37:52Yeah, he's really working his way through the pack here isn't he
37:57This is an ideal situation for Smart
38:01Getting off the line like that as well
38:03Yeah, Smart will know that Dixon was starting way further back
38:06And will need to make that jump if he can
38:08Out front, it's over 12 laps
38:09And we're already on to the fifth off them
38:11And we've already had an equal the old lap record
38:14So Andrew Smart on the second lap there
38:17Equalled the lap record with the 38.7s
38:19Absolutely flying
38:20Battles galore going on
38:22369, there is Michael Knorr on the R6
38:25He's fighting with Aaron Matthews on the Suzuki
38:29Making their way out there out front
38:32Smart is out front
38:34And Dixon though is trying to make progress towards him
38:38As we see Ty Jones there by three
38:39On the Triumph
38:42Nice little wheelie over the start and finish
38:46His race but we're already moving into the second half
38:51In the lap 6 of 12 certainly
38:53Willie Davison taking a bandit out in this race
38:56And here comes Andrew Smart
38:57Look at this difference
38:58Wow
38:59What a difference
39:00It's a final race that he gets in on the bandit
39:04But race leader Smart has come blazing past him
39:06And who's this?
39:07Is this Dixon?
39:07I think it is
39:08Yeah it is
39:09So we get an idea there of where Smart's lead is
39:11Dixon will be mad keen to get past
39:14Wow
39:14Wasted no time there
39:16None whatsoever
39:17So now he's got a few laps to try and close in on race leader Smart
39:21That we're with here
39:21Just need to see what that gap is
39:23Don't we?
39:23Where is he?
39:24There's not much in it
39:25He's closed it right down hasn't he already
39:27He's really reeling him back in
39:31That was Lee Davison on 89
39:33On the bandit
39:34So it's the battle up front that we're looking for
39:36There is our race leader Smart
39:41Dixon we can almost see in shot
39:43There he is
39:44He's looming
39:45He's coming isn't he?
39:48And he looks a little bit
39:49Whoa
39:50He's out close to the bails there
39:51He's pushing so hard
39:53He wants this win
39:54He's got four or five more laps to do it on
39:57They're making their way through traffic as well
40:00Smart from Dixon
40:01Then behind that
40:01Will Birchall
40:02Austin Webster
40:02And Lewis Jones
40:07So Smart all he can do is head down
40:09And try and make the most of this isn't it?
40:12That Dixon shaking his head there
40:13Just getting held up a little bit I think
40:17Has he got enough time to do it?
40:19Birchall behind them
40:22Looking for a podium finish as well in this final race of the day
40:26Really physical down past this start finish
40:28It drops away to the right hand side
40:30Quite bumpy as well
40:34But here's the battle for the race lead
40:37Still quite a big gap there though
40:38Yeah he's holding it at the moment isn't he?
40:40He's doing enough Smart
40:44All just depends on the traffic doesn't it
40:46When on these longer races
40:47He's got to keep the pace high for Smart here
40:50We go out onto another lap
40:53Dixon though will be looking to close down
40:55He's got another three, four laps to do it with
40:57And Smart's hitting traffic
40:58He is
40:58Just the wrong place
41:00The gap's getting smaller
41:02If Dixon can clear the traffic in a different place to Smart
41:05It could give him the advantage here just to close right in
41:08We may yet have a battle for the victory
41:10Smart looks comfortable but he's getting past the track
41:12Well look at that it has allowed Dixon to close in
41:14You can see that he's closed it right down
41:16Yeah but he's blocked in there as well
41:17So it can work for you and it can work against you
41:20It really can
41:21Brings one way and then the other Dixon
41:23Then having to make oh look for it
41:25Had to back out of it there but then
41:26Up over the start finish what can he do?
41:30Race leader heads out onto the 10th lap
41:35There is Dixon behind so he's cleared the traffic
41:41It's just just about not giving up at this you know anything can happen
41:45in these races on such a small track you know tight and twisty
41:49and a lot of bikes out on track as well so like I said it can either work for you
41:52or it can work against you
41:53Austin Webster coming flying past us there as well
41:56He is our race leader though Smart out front
41:59Desperate to try and get this final race win if he can
42:02You can see the traffic
42:05Final lap as well
42:06Five off them it's all coming back together
42:08Smart then and that looks to me Dixon right behind
42:11He's definitely closing in and there is much traffic to be dealt with here
42:15Oh man this is that is right on it is he right on him there
42:21He is
42:22He is right on him yeah
42:23He's a bike length of two behind and there's still three riders to get past for Smart here the race leader
42:28The opportunity might just present itself Dixon cleans him
42:31Dixon is now right behind straight leader Smart
42:34Can he get the drive can he get the drive up past the finish
42:36Oh who's got it
42:37I don't know
42:38Who's got it that photo finish
42:39It's Dixon
42:41Right on the line of the final lap of the meeting Dixon takes the victory from Smart
42:47Third place for Will Birchall
42:48Fourth Austin Webster
42:49Fifth Lewis Jones
42:51What a race to end
42:54Once again the Aberdeer Park circuit delivers with a fantastic fight for the win
42:59In the last race of the weekend Ryan Dixon leaves with a well-earned victory
43:03That clearly puts a smile on his face
43:05After a jam-packed weekend of racing
43:08Riders and spectators alike flocked to the Aberdeer Park fan stand for a ceremonial celebration of victors
43:14Even winners of old took the time to applaud 2025's heroes of Aberdeer
43:25Yeah so so we are at the podium presentation there's been multiple race winners today
43:31Like newcomers have even won today
43:33New lap record set there's going to be a big party tonight I think in Aberdeer
43:38I've been coming here the last 30 years
43:42This is only my second time in the last 25 years that I've not raced here
43:48But it's such a wonderful event
43:51Full of spectators
43:53Like where can you watch a road race this close to the action you know and
43:57Today new upgrade lap record you know multiple race winners
44:05Yeah, the place is just so special to me long may continue and let's see you in 2026
44:11With few standings leaders making any impression on the Aberdeer park road races this year
44:15It's still Michael Dunlop that leads the way in the hunt for the 2025 king of the roads title
44:20Davey Todd, Dean Harrison, Erno Costamo and Michael Sweeney your top five
44:28That's all the Aberdeer park road racing we have time for
44:31The king of the roads will return for the armory race of legends but until then it's goodbye for now
