Transcript
00:00So, Capital International Group, I mean, Business of the Year, it's a major accolade.
00:04How does that feel?
00:05It feels fantastic. I can't believe it, really.
00:07It's been 30 years in the making, and to be here winning this tonight is just a wonderful privilege
00:13and such an honour to accept it on behalf of all our people. It's been fantastic.
00:18I mean, I've obviously done interviews with you in the past, and I'm correct in saying, aren't I?
00:22You know, it's a family business, it's been built up, it's been passed through.
00:26So, you know, it must be an amazing feeling to be accepting this, not just for you, but for your family as well.
00:32It is. We've just started our 30th year on the Isle of Man.
00:36We started, my father and I started back in the mid-90s. There were four of us.
00:39We've grown and grown over the years. It's not been easy, it's been tough at times,
00:44but we're now over 250 people, 200 of which are here on the Isle of Man.
00:48And that's just an amazing story.
00:51And when we think back and look back at what we've done, for my family particularly,
00:55it's just we never believed we'd come so far. So it's been fantastic.
00:59Well, congratulations.
01:01So, Yellowstone, how does it feel to be, you know, supporting this initiative
01:06and be on this journey with Capital International?
01:09Well, I think it's quite funny because businesses like Capital International are the businesses that we aspire to be.
01:14I remember a long time ago, I had to make a choice between paying my own rent
01:18and paying for the rent on the warehouse, and I chose the warehouse.
01:22And, you know, starting a business is so difficult and it takes so long.
01:26And the first three years that we started out, we didn't make any money at all.
01:29And now we're very fortunate that we have the money to be able to sponsor an award like this,
01:33but you really want to continue and you want to get to 30 years.
01:36And in those 30 years' time, you want to go on the stage and you want to take an award like tonight.
01:40So I think it's fantastic.
01:41Well, thank you very much for supporting it.
01:43You know, Manx Business is Manx Energy, and I hope you have the best night ever.
01:47Thanks.
