00:00I'm in Llanfoyce, I've got no idea why I decided to walk to this job, considering the job itself is
00:05walking.
00:06Yeah, that's right, back for another one of these, haven't done one for a while,
00:09and I arrived here at Llanfoyce Crossing for a crash course in Nordic Walking.
00:14It is walking essentially, just like this happy chap with his poles pushing off on the ground.
00:19If you want to learn more about how it's done, head over to our website.
00:23There was just enough time for a quick warm-up with our instructor Ed,
00:26before we finally headed off into the wilderness.
00:30The scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking,
00:33and even a rainbow came out amidst all the grey weather we've had in ABBA recently.
00:37Tell you what, this isn't its own workout, and there is an art to this,
00:40I think I'm just overthinking walking, to be honest.
00:42But it's supposed to be sort of left leg, right pole, and vice versa.
00:49It was honestly like learning to walk all over again, but nothing gets in this lot's way.
00:54And there's also a big social benefit when it comes to talking to people in the great outdoors.
00:59And I must say, I really enjoyed that one.
01:01Thanks to Ed and the rest of the group for being so welcoming to me.
01:03So yeah, the sun's been out a bit, now I was, what, 14,000 steps later?
01:09And that was a hell of a workout.
