Zach Top caught up with Rania Aniftos on the Winners Walk at the CMA Awards 2025.

00:00All right, we're here with Zach Topp, our new Artist of the Year winner.

00:04I mean, that was a competitive group this year.

00:06I mean, how does it feel to be among such incredible people and rise above?

00:11Yeah, everybody in that category had phenomenal, phenomenal years.

00:15And not just this year, the past couple few years have been huge for them.

00:20And so I'm very thankful that, you know, I've never been in it for the awards.

00:26I like delivering from my soul and heart what I'm thinking and feeling to the fans.

00:34But it's really, really cool when other people in your business doing what you do, you know,

00:40give you a vote of confidence, pat on the back and say good job.

00:44So I'm very, very thankful for it.

00:46And, yeah, just feel like it was a win already to get nominated in a handful of categories.

00:51I love that.

00:51And last thing before you go,

00:52what is some advice that you would give to someone who might relate to you

00:56and be in your position and want to be where you are, the new Artist winner?

01:01Just keep being you.

01:02I think it's easy to kind of look around at everything else that's going on

01:07and get influenced by that and feel like you should be doing this a little different

01:11or that a little different.

01:12But, like, the reason that you get noticed or the reason that you kind of, you know,

01:17get a following or some fans is because there's something special and unique about you.

01:20So lean into that, keep doing that, and don't listen to too much of the noise.

01:26Absolutely.
