00:15Thanks. I feel fantastic. It's great to be back. We skipped about the last five years, so we're here again, and it's been such a fun year.
00:21I was gonna ask when the last time you guys walked the CMA red carpet was.
00:25We were hibernating for a while, you know. Hey, that's okay. You gotta get some sleep after 20 years on the road.
00:30How many CMAs for this would you say it is for you?
00:33This is probably our 20th, I would say, yeah.
00:3720th? Yeah.
00:38Oh, my gosh.
00:39What is something that you've loved? I mean, you've been around for a lot of country music's evolution, especially in the past few years.
00:46I mean, what is something that you've loved to see as country music and the CMAs grow over the years?
00:51I think for me, I love to see how inclusive we are.
00:55With allowing whoever wants to come over and make a country record, make it in our genre, we always welcome them with open arms.
01:01And it's fantastic to see how many artists out there love our genre and want to play in it.
01:06So, it's been really remarkable to watch the growth over the past 10 years.
01:11And how many people love Rascal Flatts, to be honest? Wow, right?
01:14Seriously?
01:15Yeah.
01:15And you guys are, like, so deeply embedded in culture.
01:18Well, it's phenomenal, and I'm saying that very lightly, but we are honored to be here.
01:22And to see some of the collaborations tonight are going to be off the charts.
01:25It's going to be so much fun.
01:26And speaking of collaborations, you guys put out a very collaborative record, Rascal Flatts.
01:32Do you guys have a favorite collaboration from that record?
01:35Or something that really surprised you that when it came together, you were like, oh, the voices melt together perfectly?
01:41I think, you know, it's hard to pick a baby, but if I were to have to choose one, it would be the collaboration with the Backstreet Boys.
01:49I mean, we've been looking for a way to make some music with those guys for a lot of years.
01:53And to hear us all together on what hurts the most, and how unique it sounds with, you know, all of us together in one place.
02:00I thought it was really, really special how it turned out.
02:02It's truly something that I didn't know I needed until I heard it.
02:05And I was like, wait, it wasn't on my bingo card, but bingo.
02:09So I'm really happy you guys did it.

02:13And, I mean, obviously, you guys, like you said, the amount of people that love Rascal Flatts, you guys are the blueprint, you know, for a lot of artists right now.
02:21What is some advice that you would give to an up-and-coming artist that looks to you and is like, wow, Rascal Flatts, like, I want something like that, you know?
02:29Be the lead singer.
02:30That's always the best.
02:31Be the lead singer.
02:32You have all the power if you're the lead singer.
02:33If you're just the bass player or just the guitar player.
