00:09NBC's The Voice has crowned its champion for season 17.
00:13The live finale of the NBC singing competition series aired on Tuesday and it was a tight
00:18race to see who would walk away with the gold as coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani,
00:22John Legend and Kelly Clarkson each had a finalist in the running.
00:26Throughout the night, each of the finalists gave it their all one last time before the
00:30results with both solo and celebrity duet performances. Team John's Katie Caden sang
00:36Believe by Cher alongside former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. Team Gwen's
00:41Rose Short sang In the Midst of It All with Yolanda Adams. Team Blake's Ricky Duran was
00:45joined by Gary Clark Jr. for a rendition of Pearl Cadillac and Team Kelly's Jake Hoot
00:50joined Little Big Town for a performance of Over Drinking. The finale also featured a
00:55star-studded lineup of performances ahead of the crowning including Dua Lipa, Lady
01:00Antebellum and Black Eyed Peas who was joined by J Balvin. After some more filler time,
01:05it was finally time for the results. The finalist who came in fourth place was Team Gwen's
01:10Rose Short followed by Team John's Katie Caden in third place. It was down to Team
01:15Kelly's Jake Hoot and Team Blake's Ricky Duran but in the end, the top honors went to
01:20none other than Jake Hoot who won it all.

01:26It was of course an emotional moment for Hoot who had only been a one-chair turn during the
01:30blind auditions portion of the season and his win also makes this Kelly Clarkson's third
01:35time winning the show.
