00:00With breaking news, as he didn't play last night, Victor Webby-Yama is now being ruled out in regards to a calf injury for the San Antonio Spurs.
00:11And what can you say about the play of Webby?
00:14Now, his stats have come down a little bit since De'Aaron Fox has come back to the lineup.
00:20But this is the second big injury for the San Antonio Spurs to start the season, who got off to a really good start, have cooled off a little bit,
00:28especially losing those two games to Golden State in which they were winning going into the second half.
00:35Victor Webby-Yama's been absolutely fantastic, but it's just a concern you have with Webby and his slight build.
00:41The thing I kept telling people is this, if he got the 65 games, they were going to make the playoffs.
00:47So now here's our first hiccup when we have with Webby.
00:51So obviously, Coach Johnson and the staff at San Antonio Spurs are going to have to take their time here
00:58in regards to when they bring Webby back.
01:01So it'll be interesting to see how they reconfigure the lineup.
01:05Do they go Jeremy Sohan at the five, go really, really small?
01:09Do they go big, bring Sohan back off the bench?
01:11Now, the Spurs, when healthy, are secretly, in my opinion, one of the most depth they have in the NBA
01:19when you talk about Fox, you talk about Bissell, and when you talk about Castle, you talk about Harper,
01:25you talk about Kelvin Johnson, you talk about Sohan, you talk about Harrison Barnes, you talk about Wemby.
01:31But now some of these guys are starting to get hurt.
01:34So it'll be interesting to see what happens with Victor Wemby-Yama, who is going to be sidelined for a couple of weeks,
01:40as according to Shams Sharani.
01:43Let's hope that Wemby gets back healthy soon, because in the NBA, we all like seeing this guy develop.
01:50Speaking of injuries and bumps in the road, the New York Knicks have now hit bumps in the road
01:55in regards to two injuries that took place last week on separate days.
02:01First off, Jalen Brunson turned his right ankle late in that NBA Cup game versus the Orlando Magic game
02:08where people thought that Mike Brown turned into Tom Thibodeau, because why was Brunson in the game
02:13when they were not going to come back and win?
02:15But you have to think about points, differences, so on and so forth.
02:18But then on Friday, fast break layup, OG Ananobi actually hurt his hamstring,
02:25and he's going to be reevaluated in two weeks.
02:27Let's start backwards forwards.
02:29Remember, folks, OG hurt his hamstring in the playoffs versus Indiana a couple of years ago.
02:37So now that this is, you know, a year and a half later, New York's going to be extremely cautious
02:43with OG Ananobi, such an indispensable piece in regards to what he could do offensively and defensively.
02:50Now let's get to Brunson, because it was interesting how Jalen has tried to change his game a little bit
02:58playing for Mike Brown, and he was starting to kind of pick his spots where he was starting to go.
03:04And they were using him a little bit differently, Jalen, than when Tibbs had him in regards to the fact that
03:10sometimes he was second side of the ball, they would get him on the move and kind of play the offense through him
03:15in a different way than just kind of milking the clock with Tom Thibodeau.
03:21So how does this change the Knicks?
03:23Well, simply put, the offense now, in my opinion, is going to go through Karl-Anthony Towns.
03:30Now, if you think about how they used Damanis Sabonis in Sacramento, they put him at that elbow,
03:36we call it the pinch, give him the ball there, and run cutters in that Princeton-style offense,
03:42one to the basket, one to the ball.
03:43So what I would be looking for is the offer to go through, obviously, Cat, but in the meantime,
03:50Juice McBride goes to the starting lineup.
03:53He kind of plays there.
03:55Now, if you look at the fact of OG being hurt, maybe you go Clarkson's starting lineup,
04:01move Mikel to the three to play with Cat and Mitchell Robinson,
04:07or do you go with someone like Yavaselli, who has gotten off to a slow start
04:11and has started to crank up its minutes?
04:13But the Knicks, two big injuries.
04:16Brunton should be back maybe by the end of the road trip.
04:18OG Ananobi out for two weeks with his hamstring strain for a Knicks team
04:24that has been playing good basketball but is now on the road after having a long homestead.
