00:00Here's kind of just kind of a refresher.

00:06We're talking about captain's picks.

00:08We're talking about roster composition.

00:09We're just going through those rosters one more time to let

00:12people know I'm going to go through alphabetically and give

00:15you each of their records as well in this competition.

00:18So you on the American side Keegan Bradley who was a captain's

00:21pick so overall records to two and one Sam Burns also a captain's

00:25pick overall record.

00:27Oh three and two.

00:28Hold on.

00:28Can I stop you there?

00:30Well, that is one that I want to get into later in the show.

00:33We're talking about pairings because I know where you're going

00:35with that.

00:36I'm just going to say that Sam Burns.

00:38I know where you go.

00:39That president's got played way, way, way, way better than that

00:42record. And that is why later in the show.

00:44I want to dig into whether we should be trying some different

00:47pairings and also whether his partner that he took to that

00:51record because both of them were rookies last time out if that

00:54guy's going to be a little more motivated this time around to

00:56kind of turn that ship around.

00:58So continuing down the list Patrick can't lay six three and

01:01Oh Wyndham Clark a rookie in the President's Cup.

01:05Of course played his first team event the senior level at the

01:07Ryder Cup last year.

01:09Tony Finau captain's pick three two and three lifetime Brian

01:13Harman another captain's pick who is a rookie this year, but

01:16obviously again played in the Ryder Cup last year Russell

01:19Henley captain's pick and a rookie in any senior international

01:23competition for the Americans Max Houma captain's pick for

01:26oh and oh and his first time out Quill Hollow last year

01:29despite struggling of late on the tour call Morikawa lifetime

01:33to one and oh Xander Shoffley lifetime six three and oh Scotty

01:37Scheffler lifetime.

01:39Oh three and one and so hit the gala a qualifier and a rookie

01:43on this team.

01:44So, you know to the one that stands out the most the record

01:47for Sam Burns and Scotty Scheffler any other guys on that

01:50list you're surprised by either their their level of experience

01:54their lack of experience their record anything that the pop

01:57to you when you go through that roster list and hear how they

01:59play lifetime in the President's Cup.

02:01Yeah, it's just the if you would have showed me that this

02:04was the team at the beginning of the year.

02:05I would have been surprised by a couple names, but I think

02:09this team in general.

02:10I'm just curious how they're going to gel like from a chemistry

02:13standpoint, you know, you've had you know, such an old guard

02:17that's been a part of so many of these teams, you know, Tiger

02:19Woods Justin Thomas Jordan speed, you know, these have been

02:22the guys have been the leaders and the players that have been

02:24in these rooms year after year.

02:25No, none of those three guys are there this year, you know,

02:29Brooks Koepka Dustin Johnson, like those those are the guys

02:32we've been used to seeing on these teams as well as a Bryson

02:35DeChambeau.

02:36So I just want to see how this team is going to gel and when

02:39I look at just how you know, these teams sometimes the composition

02:45for picks can be made just to see how you know, who does get

02:49along with each other who can play well together, but I think

02:52a guy like Keegan Bradley playing his way onto this team.

02:55He seems to me to be a player that not only can bring the game

02:59but also I think can can bring a little bit of veteran experience

03:03knowing that he's going to be a potential captain.

03:05I think he'll take more of a leadership role on this team

03:08when I think about the best players in the world.

03:10He gets Scottie Shuffler and Xander Shoffley.

03:13They both are kind of you know, I know Scottie's super competitive

03:17and Xander just as a guy that you know, puts the tea in the

03:20ground.

03:20It gets goes and gets the job done, but I think it's nice to

03:23have vocal leaders as well outside of a captain and I think

03:26Keegan Bradley and maybe even an uppercomer like Sam Burns,

03:30you know and Wyndham Clark.

03:31We he's never been, you know, he doesn't hold back in interviews

03:34as well.

03:36So I think that's the part I'm looking forward to the most

03:39besides the golf.

03:40I think the golf will sort itself out.

03:42I think that how this this team is going to gel is going to

03:45determine if they're if they're successful or not.

03:47I really I think the golf is good enough, but are these guys

03:51willing to play for one another and you know rise to the

03:54challenge because I think you know, when you look at the

03:57record, right Charlie, like, you know, the US has been really

03:59successful.
