00:01Days are short in the winter. You don't have a lot of daylight to do all the
00:06things that needs to be done. Up! Up guys! Up guys! Guys, come on!
00:11It's already getting really dark and very cold. Temperatures are dropping
00:16really fast. Days are shorter so you spend more time alone in the cabin. This
00:24is one of these moments I would love to have someone close by to help me out.
00:28Yeah, I'm a little. Okay, no, this isn't working. I know you're never gonna admit
00:36that you're cold. Nope. Back in the day around here, they just built with whatever
00:40the hell they had. They made it work and I need to do the same or else before you
00:44know it, I'll be back in the city working a real job.
00:58The cold is the most dangerous thing in the Yukon in the winter. If you're not prepared for it, it can be a
01:26pretty **** situation pretty fast. Firewood is the most important thing here. I mean, if I don't have wood, I'm freezing.
01:39I always have a big pie ready just in case I break my leg and I can't go outside cut firewood or if it drops to minus 50, the chancel won't start. You always have to make sure you have a safety pile.
01:54I'm planning on trying to find a little more efficient way of getting firewood. Right now I'm just putting firewood in my dog sled, but I can't hold a lot of wood in one trip. So I want to build a little sleigh that I can pull behind me so I can double my load and I can be more efficient.
02:17A big fire took place on the trapline a few years ago. So there's a huge section that is burned.
02:30When I first came here and I saw the burn, I was like, oh, frick, there's nothing here. It's just this big dead land, but it's actually perfect.
02:40I have an endless supply of firewood and a lot of building material.
02:49It's essential for this lifestyle to know how to build things out of nothing.
03:07I can't just bring planes with all the lumber I need. It would be way too much money and it's just not possible.
03:15And building something from nothing, just a couple of burnt poles, it's pretty rewarding.
03:22Looks more like a sleigh now. Looks good.
03:39I always think about my dad when I'm building stuff like this. I learned a lot of things from him.
03:45We used to build things like this together. He thinks it's a beautiful life that I chose and he's happy for me.
03:54It's hard when we can't be together all the time, but I'm happy I can do things that I know he would love to do.
04:01Hey, bud. Hey, bud. Hey, bud. Hello. Okay.
04:07I'm using plastic runners that are made for dog sleds. So it's super slippery. It's perfect.
04:17Nice.
04:18I think that's the weakest part of the sleigh here. If something breaks, I think that's going to be that. All the weight is going to be on here.
04:36I'm excited to try this. I think it's going to be fun, even if it's a disaster.
04:43Jade!
04:47Come here. Hey, baby. Go, boy. Are you so happy to go?
04:53You have a lot of things to say today, eh?
04:57These dogs are Alaskans.
04:59Timber, it's not your turn.
05:01And they've been sled dogs for generations and generations.
05:08Running and pulling, it's a big part of their identity. If they wouldn't run, they wouldn't be as happy.
05:16Guys, line up, line up, line up, line up.
05:20Okay, well, we'll try that.
05:22The trails around here are very curvy and hilly.
05:34Good boys!
05:36That's the part I'm a little bit worried about.
05:39Up, up.
05:41All right, that's heavy.
05:47Up, up, up, up, up, up.
05:48Up, up, up, up.
05:52Come on, up.
05:53Come on, Gabe.
05:54Up, let's go.
05:56Okay.
05:58Okay.
06:00Good boys.
06:06Hola.
06:08Hola, guys.
06:12Oh, that was pretty, pretty good.
06:14That curve was actually pretty chill, so it's more solid than I thought.
06:19The doves did good, but tomorrow I'm gonna cut a bunch of firewood and see how it goes when I'm loaded.
06:24That's the true test.
06:25This is winter at the log cabin.
06:39It's windy, it's cold, there is so much snow.
06:44And it's pretty hard to move around, but I love it.
06:48I love it.
06:58Okay, so that will be the floor.
07:02This is gonna be at least 20 feet high.
07:05I'm gonna build a solar panel system.
07:08Having electricity here on my land, it will just change everything.
07:13Oh, there's so much noise stuck there.
07:18For me, it's not a sin to be more modern, to use solar panel.
07:25For years, I used to light candles only.
07:29I know candles.
07:30I've done it.
07:31I've done it.
07:36Gee.
07:38Yeah, la-la-la-la-la.
07:40Five feet, I will say.
07:47It's so important to keep busy, mostly in the wintertime, because days are shorter, so you spend more time alone in the cabin.
07:56So, yeah, keeping busy, it's very good for the mental health.
08:01That's good enough.
08:04Those branches are in the way.
08:08I need to cut them off.
08:1920 feet from the ground, at least.
08:26All righty.
08:29Yep, that's high enough.
08:34I'm dreaming about, you know, a radio, lights.
08:38Everything will be so more comfortable inside.
08:42It's life-changing, actually.
08:47Parfait!
08:48Parfait!
08:54Hey, man.
08:56Hey, the first one is done.
08:58Very a relief.
09:00Great.
09:02Okay, next one.
09:04This is one of these moments I would love to have someone close by to help me out.
09:08But, uh, yeah, I'm alone.
09:12We depend a lot on food off the land.
09:28It's what we mainly feed our family, but you never know what you're gonna get.
09:33You really need to work for it.
09:40The trip to Holly Lake is very long, and it's a very cold ride.
09:45In the wintertime, it can take anywhere between four to six hours to travel to.
09:50We're very far from home here, but there's a reason why we travel very far.
09:57There's really big lake trout here.
09:59There's pike.
10:06Minus 40, and it takes a while for everything to start.
10:10Oh, wow!
10:14All right, ready?
10:15It's very cold, and it's been cold for multiple days.
10:22Minus 45 to minus 52 with windchill.
10:25We're gonna put the first pole.
10:28It's brutal.
10:30But, you know, food is medicine, and it's important to fuel our bodies with good food.
10:35It's way better to eat brook trout, you know, from the river than eating a fish stick from a box.
10:41How many?
10:42I think we need 12 holes.
10:44Okay.
10:53All right, go.
10:55The plan today is that we're gonna put a stick through the ice, and then we're gonna get two white sticks, and we're gonna guide the stick under the ice with a rope attached behind that stick until the rope is on the other side.
11:08And then we tie the net after we're done that.
11:14Now, bro, who taught you to do this?
11:16So, is it your mom or your dad?
11:17Both.
11:19Sometimes in modern day world, it's really hard to keep some traditions going, but doing it is keeping it alive, and I think this is a great way to do it.
11:27All right, now I push it in, like this.
11:34You see it?
11:36It's hard because it keeps freezing over, and it's really deep in there, eh?
11:40Yeah.
11:42Can you wiggle it around a bit?
11:45Okay, I think I'm holding it right now.
11:47All right, now I'm gonna push it.
11:48Okay, I feel it.
11:49Yeah.
11:50Now I'll put it there, and I'll go through the next hole.
11:53Okay, I already lost it.
11:58I'm just trying to feel for it.
12:01Yeah.
12:03I don't see it.
12:04Do you still have it?
12:05Nope.
12:07Okay, no, this isn't working.
12:09I know you're never gonna admit that you're cold.
12:11Nope.
12:13I don't mind putting my hands in there.
12:15It was probably not a good idea to do that.
12:17All day.
12:18All right.
12:19Well, we got to go to Plan B.
12:33Living on a little island, out the coast of Newfoundland.
12:36Boats are everything.
12:38Holding your supplies, getting firewood.
12:41Everything out here happens by water.
12:46Having a motorboat out here, wintertime, full-time job.
12:50Every day, I got to come down here, bail her out.
12:53Make sure it's not frozen.
12:57Yep.
12:58Almost out of the gas again.
13:00Story of my life around here.
13:02One of the biggest costs out here is gas.
13:04Not just burning gas to do things.
13:05I got to burn gas just to go get more gas to burn.
13:09Put me in a poorhouse before I know it.
13:13It'd be really beneficial to me if I had a boat
13:15I was able to get around in and do some work in
13:18that didn't require any gas at all.
13:20Just like the old timers back in the day.
13:23So I've been working on a special little project.
13:32Whew!
13:35So many hours here to put into this tedious as hell and dusty.
13:40But it's going to be worth it in the end.
13:44It's like a new take on a traditional boat.
13:46Traditional Newfoundland dory, built in a modern way.
13:50Traditional Newfoundland dory is a working boat.
13:53And back in the day around here, that's how all the fishermen would travel.
13:56That's how they get all their supplies and that's how they make their money.
14:00Old skippers around here have been using dories forever.
14:03Really good in the rough water.
14:05And yeah, this thing will be a little workhorse for me.
14:06The outside of the boat will be done with fiberglass and epoxy.
14:13Traditionally this boat would have taken an entire winter to build.
14:17To do it like this, I can knock it out in maybe a month.
14:19This little piece right here is going to be what's going to hold yours.
14:25Normally you buy little metal dew hickeys here to hold yours.
14:29Back in the day around here, they didn't have a store to buy metal dew hickeys at.
14:33So they just used just a couple of sticks.
14:35They just built with whatever the hell they had and made it work.
14:39And I need to do the same.
14:41Or else before you know it, I'll be back in the city working a real job.
14:53That's the boat right there, sir.
14:55It is like a giggly feeling to see it all come together.
14:59And this thing started like a pile of plywood and some paper plants.
15:02Now it's a living thing.
15:05Very, very happy the way it turned out.
15:07The big hurdle now will be getting it out of here.
15:10We are on the second story of the house.
15:11It's kind of like a ship in a bottle.
15:13It's stuck in here.
15:14The only way to get it out is to blow a hole inside the house somewhere to get it out.
15:23And this is where I'm thinking.
15:25And long term, the only thing I'm really worried about is the roof sagging down on that wall.
15:32Let's get some 2x4s and brace this up.
15:39It's not much of a brace job.
15:40I should hold.
15:41We got daylight.
15:50Woo!
15:51That came off perfect.
15:52No problem getting a boat out of here now.
15:53It's a whole different house all of a sudden.
15:54What a view.
15:55All right, let's get this girl out of here.
15:56All right, let's get this girl out of here.
15:57Days are short in the Yukon in the winter.
15:58Days are short in the Yukon in the winter.
15:59You need to get a boat out of here.
16:00It's a whole different house all of a sudden.
16:01What a view.
16:02All right, let's get this girl out of here.
16:03Days are short in the Yukon in the winter.
16:10You don't have a lot of daylight to do all the things that needs to be done.
16:17So if you can save time, it's going to help you.
16:36It's been pretty cold.
16:50It's a little bit stubborn.
16:59The priority for me in the winter is to stay warm.
17:02So cutting firewood is the number one chore that I have to do.
17:07I want to be more efficient and bring big loads of firewood
17:11so I don't have to travel so much.
17:15Working with the chainsaw in the deep snow,
17:17I'm just careful because I don't see where my feet are,
17:20so I don't want to cut my feet down there.
17:26So it's slow process, but we'll get there.
17:32Number one.
17:35I don't want to go too heavy for the first time I'm trying the sled,
17:38so I'm just going to go like five or six logs in the sled just to try it out.
17:43That's my work to get the logs out and then it will be their work to pull us out of here.
17:57That's the last tree I'm cutting for today.
18:02I think I have enough for one load.
18:04I want to saw that tree as close to the trail as I can
18:08because I'm pretty down with that snow,
18:11but I don't want to land it on the dog, so I'll be careful.
18:15I'll be careful.
18:22Oh, boys!
18:24Well, now we can try it, but I think I'm a little bit optimistic.
18:40I think it's going to be a little too heavy.
18:46Oh!
18:47Maybe not.
18:49I think we'll give it a go.
18:52Enough!
18:54Line up, boys.
18:55Line up.
18:56Good boy, Jade.
18:57Line up.
18:58Line up.
19:02Okay, boys.
19:05It's going to be very heavy for the dogs.
19:09There's a couple big hills to climb to go back home,
19:12so that's the part where we'll see if we're too heavy or not.
19:15Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop.
19:17Hop, guys, hop.
19:18Come on.
19:20Come on, boys.
19:21Hop.
19:22Hop, hop.
19:23Come on, guys.
19:25I know.
19:26It's hard.
19:27Hop.
19:29Come on.
19:30Hop.
19:31Come on, Kate.
19:32Hop.
19:33Let's go.
19:34When I get tired of loneliness, I just keep myself busy.
19:49Because it's not a question of body.
19:52It's mostly your mind.
19:53So you've got to take care of your mind.
19:56Well, today, the support is done, so now it's the platform.
20:07But, man, that's trickier because it's bigger, it's huge.
20:13It's mostly going to be easy.
20:14I have to keep it tight.
20:15I'm gonna go just to help you.
20:16It's 4 months.
20:17That's the total stressor.
20:18These clouds, they're not good.
20:19There is no wind.
20:20Even the birds, they're just hiding
20:21because there will be a big storm coming in.
20:25So I've got to do it fast.
20:29Doing the solar panel system in the winter,
20:32well, this is maybe not the best time of the year to do it,
20:35but I don't have the luxury, you know, to wait and, wait and wait
20:36until it gets warm.
20:38gets warm. It's Quebec, half a year, it's winter, so you've got to work your way around
20:45and do what needs to be done.
20:51Oh, that's not too bad.
20:58Come on, big guy.
21:04Hey, man, I really don't want it to fall over me.
21:08Woo!
21:12That's pretty good.
21:20Oh! Holy smoke! That was close.
21:27Pushing yourself too hard can be dangerous, because nobody is around, you know, I am by myself.
21:36Man, I lost my grip.
21:38I lost my grip.
21:39Yeah!
21:40Woohoo!
21:41Yeah!
21:42Yeah!
21:43Man!
21:44Yeah, this...
21:45Okay.
21:46I need a board here. It will be like a safety rail.
21:53As the day goes, you get more tired, so it's easier, you know, to do a mistake.
22:00You know, when I get tired, frustrated, I just think about a very good moment I've had on this land, and it just helps me to get rid of it.
22:07Okay.
22:08Okay.
22:09When I first, you know, when I first, you know, when I first thought about it, I said to myself, ah, easy!
22:14Never easy.
22:15But still, this is why I like it.
22:16I'm running always new.
22:17New stuff.
22:18New stuff.
22:19So, every effort.
22:20It's easier, you know, it's easier, you know, to do a mistake.
22:21You know, when I get tired, frustrated, I just think about a very good moment I've had
22:27on this land.
22:28And it just helps me to get through.
22:31Okay.
22:32When I first, you know, thought about it, I said to myself, ah, easy!
22:37Never easy.
22:41But still, this is why I like it here.
22:44I'm running always new stuff.
22:46So, every effort, every job you do here, there is a reward.
22:51Last nail.
22:52This is a very big reward, this one.
22:56This is so great, man.
23:01It's very steady.
23:09Next thing, that will be the solar panel to set it up.
23:12Put in the light inside and make it, you know, make it like home.
23:25All right.
23:26Okay.
23:27When you're out here on the land, you really have to adapt, because not everything goes
23:31according to your plan.
23:34This is going to go like that every time we release the rope.
23:39It's going to look like this.
23:40And we're going to pull the rope.
23:41It's going to crawl forward.
23:43And then we release the rope.
23:46It's going to keep doing this.
23:47So, it's going to keep crawling all the way to the end there.
23:54Oh, yeah.
23:55It fits.
23:56Just right.
23:57Just right.
23:58It was meant to be.
23:59See?
24:00All right.
24:01Let go.
24:02Here it goes.
24:03See?
24:04It's crawling.
24:05Yeah.
24:06It's so cool.
24:09Oh, I hear it.
24:11This is a lot quicker than moving a pole under the ice.
24:17Okay.
24:18It should be at the end now.
24:20All right.
24:21Right here.
24:22Do you see it?
24:27Uh, no.
24:32I think instead of doing another hole, just bring your chainsaw.
24:46Let's make this one longer and we'll pull it out sideways.
24:49Yeah.
24:50Like that, you'll have more chance of finding it.
24:51All right.
24:52I'll go get my chainsaw.
24:53What?
24:54I forgot at the camp.
24:55It was warming up.
24:56Are you serious?
24:57Yeah.
24:58It's really annoying.
24:59We need to not be out in this temperature.
25:05It hurts my face.
25:12I can't see it anywhere here.
25:14Like, I'm not going to keep making a whole bunch of holes.
25:17So maybe I'll try to back it up a little bit and see where it is.
25:22And...
25:25Oh, my God.
25:26Gilbert attached part of the string in the sled and I guess he forgot about it when he took
25:41off.
25:42And then the jig followed him.
25:43Oh, what happened?
25:44Oh.
25:45You had it tight in the sled.
25:46Oh, that felt really funny.
25:47The sled felt funny?
25:48Yeah, yeah.
25:49This would be why.
25:50Oh, look at that.
25:52All right.
25:53It's going to go in.
25:56Trying to aim for the holes that we made.
25:57I guess that's the best we can do.
25:58Yeah.
25:59All right.
26:00Yeah, it's moving now.
26:01Gilbert?
26:02Huh?
26:03Once the rope is through, is it going to be pretty fast to put the net in?
26:04No.
26:05No.
26:06No.
26:07No.
26:08No.
26:09No.
26:10No.
26:11No.
26:12No.
26:13No.
26:14No.
26:15No.
26:16No.
26:17No.
26:18No.
26:19No.
26:20No.
26:21No.
26:22No.
26:23No.
26:24No.
26:25What about that head in?
26:26I don't know.
26:27Maybe another hour maybe?
26:29Ah, my god.
26:30We don't have an hour.
26:32It's already getting really dark and very cold.
26:37Temperatures are dropping really fast.
26:40Okay, it should be about there.
26:43Yeah, right here.
26:46I think I hit something there.
26:51You have it!
26:52I think I hit it.
26:53Let me check.
26:54Oh, .
26:55There it is.
26:56Yeah.
26:57Finally.
26:58I'm going to feel relieved when I see it coming out of the ice.
27:11It's not out yet.
27:12All right, part's done.
27:29So, you want to go warm up?
27:31Yeah.
27:32So, tomorrow morning we'll just throw in the net and we'll get some fish in the afternoon.
27:41I hope so.
27:42If I was living in a city I could never afford a home, let alone an old home and a big old
27:58boat.
27:59There's a dream come true, but also a little bit nerve wracking and sketchy.
28:04She was a priest.
28:05It was definitely steeper than I thought.
28:06I should have cut these poles longer than it would have been a more gentle slope.
28:20Worst case scenario, she'll come crashing into the second story like a freight train.
28:24I think she'll take the drop, honestly.
28:25But who knows.
28:26I'm going to leave a bit of paint behind.
28:31Living out here like this, I've really gotten used to just getting to work and getting the
28:37work done.
28:39That does come back to play your n**** sometimes.
28:42That's your hole, boy.
28:46All right.
28:47Only one thing left to do and that's hook up some ropes.
28:51I need some way to hold the boat back from just sliding down and crushing.
28:56That's all for crushing me.
28:58And I'm down here underneath this boat, starting to wonder how good an idea this really is.
29:20One of these is supposed to pull on and the other one is supposed to hold the in back.
29:24But let's see.
29:26I forgot one thing.
29:28It's the most important thing.
29:34They say it's bad luck to put a boat in the water that's not christened.
29:37God bless this boat.
29:39God bless Gallows Harbor.
29:41That's bad luck.
29:49Let me try that again.
29:52God bless this boat.
29:53God bless Gallows Harbor.
29:56Well, we're cursed.
29:58We're going to the bottom.
29:59It's going to be a wet one.
30:01All right, little girl.
30:03This is it.
30:04We hope it works.
30:06Let me know here in a sec.
30:08It's working.
30:09You need to see the little friend.
30:15Whoo!
30:16Hell yeah.
30:17Look at that.
30:18As soon as she's out.
30:19in the wild, she looks like a whole different craft all of a sudden.
30:20I'm not an artist, but I mean...
30:21I'm not an artist, but I mean...
30:22I'm not an artist.
30:23I'm not an artist.
30:24Look at that.
30:25That's poetry.
30:26That's real life.
30:27That's poetry.
30:28That's poetry.
30:29That's poetry.
30:30That's poetry.
30:31That's poetry.
30:32An old traditional, built dory.
30:33Modern times built in 100 year old saltbox house that was about to fall down.
30:35whoo hell yeah look at that as soon as she's out in the wild she looks like a whole different
30:47crap all of a sudden i'm not an artist but i mean look at that that's poetry that's real life poetry
30:53an old traditional built dory modern times built in a hundred year old salt box
30:59house that was about to fall down and now she's starting to spit out dories out of her
31:03it doesn't get much better than that this house is living dream right now so am i
31:18i know it's heavy come on come on boys it was very heavy for me it was pretty steep there
31:27i had to pull first so the dogs would get the pressure release on the harness and feel that
31:31they could go again i'm not gonna do it alone
31:36up guys good job okay okay good boys
31:48having the dogs with me here is a big upgrade but they are also very unpredictable
31:53they're not you have to be ready to at some point they can be like
32:00up guys start doing whatever they want to do come on uh come on i saw something
32:08okay come on okay some days they're off some days they're happy good job guys they're not machines

32:53men
33:05don't touch him
33:21enough enough now
33:25okay
33:30it was pretty stressful
33:31we're going to be able to be the boss and jake wants to be the boss if they decide they want
33:36to kill each other they will in a couple of minutes so you have to
33:39almost home react very fast and try to separate them
33:44some boys come on
33:46they're wild animals so it's good for what i want them to do and they're very good at their job
33:52almost home but uh almost home it can be challenging
34:03up up up up up up up up good boys
34:07uh
34:13that's quite the rodeo
34:15it was almost the perfect run until uh these guys uh decided to
34:21me up
34:22but the sled is good they worked in the uphill even though it was pretty heavy i think i i loaded up a
34:29little too much but it worked yeah i'm happy i can uh use that now to do firewood and um pull heavy loads so
34:36that's the good part and the dogs i'm a little bit uh disappointed but it's smashing it happens
34:44well i woke up this morning and man there is so much snow
35:03one of the biggest snowstorm on this century hey man there's so much snow it's crazy
35:15yeah gotta get my solar panel there we go
35:22okay
35:28all right
35:33oh so much you know so i'm glad i put some gaps between the boards that was that was wise
35:45there we go
35:52the screws cannot get through this frozen wood
35:56it's like steel
36:02this is not the perfect time to build this kind of platform but this is
36:06the perfect time for me because i want my battery and i want my electricity
36:10i need a goal i need a purpose i need a motivation
36:15if you don't have a purpose here you can get mentally lost honestly
36:25that's good
36:27honestly i have no clue what i'm doing but i like to improvise
36:31even if it's not maybe the best idea ever i just you know i like a good challenge
36:38i feel excited
36:45give it a try okay
36:47oh
36:57oh it's working
36:59but man it's heavy
37:01oh man 60 pounds
37:03there we go
37:16there we go man it looks nice
37:19just in time for the sunshine
37:28here the battery is on and now the last step
37:32this is pretty cool three two one
37:35oh yeah oh i see some lights oh yeah christmas tree it's working
37:46this is wow such an improvement of this cabin
37:51it's like everything is now possible here lights fridge music radio bring it on
37:58but not too much though you know because man it's still a cabin i really want to keep it simple also
38:06simple but easy living
38:12oh wow this is beautiful
38:16you know it's more work on this cabin it's more it gets beautiful this is great yeah it's magic
38:28the ice is around four inches thick just from overnight
38:48this is the way it is when you're out on the land it's never just comfortable you're always going
38:52to be uncomfortable and facing the harsh elements
38:56this is the price you got to pay to be able to eat off the land and harvest hopefully we'll get
39:02something i can't really be of much use to you i'll just tie it because i'm not indigenous and
39:09i don't have a commercial fishing license i'm not allowed to put in a fishnet
39:16that's something that gilbert is allowed to do as an indigenous person right here is good
39:23i'm very respectful towards that but i want to let my hands first here come here this one's frozen
39:30but i do wish i could help gilbert more yeah is it warming up that's warming up
39:37because i'm trying to feed my family and this is a part of ontario that you can't rely on the store
39:46to feed your family like this
39:49all right all right it's ready
39:56it's already frozen here i know i'm gonna pull the rope
40:01you just tell me if it tangles up and i'll come back all right we go slow
40:13so i'm gonna tie the bottom here
40:21and put it in here
40:26there you go that's it that's it that's all we just wait that was a lot of work
40:46we're gonna create this little shelter time up okay that's gonna block the wind from coming in
41:00we've been out here already in the minus 40s and now it's that much colder it's minus 52 there's wind
41:09and gilbert's gonna be pulling out really cold fish out of the water
41:15figures it's helping you so that's gonna take a while and the risk of him having a frostbite on
41:23his hands are pretty high so you know we want to make sure to try to keep warm as best we can
41:28it's a nice spot let me just put the net there i'm gonna start the gear oh there's a fish already
41:42oh my god oh my god oh my god
41:53oh what
41:58oh wow wow wow look at the face
42:04whoa i'm like scared to gut that thing
42:10i don't know if i've ever seen a trout that thing i don't know if sparky's shaking
42:16because he's cold or excited are your hands okay
42:20okay we're almost done the net so we got three damn i thought we were up there you go we started off
42:34strong
42:37i'm happy it's a successful netting we didn't get quite as much as we thought but we didn't get zero so
42:46the one big fish probably gonna feed us for a couple days food off the land like it's medicine
42:52it's really important that our kids eat that because that's what's gonna keep them strong and
42:58healthy
43:03you
43:05you
43:07you
43:09you
43:11you
43:15you
43:17you
43:19you
