విజయవాడలో మావోయిస్టుల కలకలం రేగింది. నగర శివారు కానూరు కొత్త ఆటోనగర్‌లో కేంద్ర బలగాలు సోదాలు చేపట్టాయి. ఛత్తీస్‌గఢ్‌కు చెందిన 27 మంది మావోయిస్టులను పోలీసులు అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. ఓ భవనాన్ని షెల్టర్‌గా చేసుకుని మావోయిస్టులు ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం అందడంతో ఆ ప్రాంతంలో తనిఖీలు చేపట్టారు. అరెస్టయిన మావోయిస్టుల్లో 21 మంది మహిళలు, నలుగురు కీలక హోదాల్లోని వ్యక్తులు ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం. 11 మంది సానుభూతిపరులు, మిలీషియా సభ్యులు ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. నాలుగు చోట్ల డంప్‌లు ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు పోలీసులకు సమాచారం అందింది. వాటిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకునేందుకు విస్తృతంగా గాలింపు చేపట్టారు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే మావోయిస్టులు పట్టుబడ్డ భవనానికి చుట్టూ ఉన్న వారు భయబ్రాంతులకు గురవుతున్నారు.
A major operation created tension in Vijayawada after central security forces conducted searches in Kanuru New Autonagar. Acting on specific intelligence, police arrested 27 Maoists, including 21 women and 4 key members holding important positions. Reports indicate that the group had taken shelter in a building and had also set up four dump locations in nearby areas.
Officials also detained 11 sympathisers and militia members linked to the Maoist network. Extensive search operations are underway to recover hidden materials. Residents living around the building were left in fear as the arrests unfolded.
