00:00We've got two celebs for the price of one, haven't we?
00:01Oh dear.
00:02Because he's helping more of our best-loved celebrities...
00:05Hello!
00:06Hey!
00:07Tuck your shirt in.
00:09Yeah, well, I've been working.
00:10...turn their belongings into cold, hard cash.
00:13Come on!
00:14This is my grandma's old wireless.
00:17He visits their magnificent homes...
00:19But it's not often you come to somebody who has a windmill.
00:22...seeking out collectibles...
00:24Mmm, this looks nice.
00:25What do you think of this?
00:27...keepsakes from their careers...
00:29Please don't drop them.
00:30Those are staying.
00:31I was just looking.
00:32...and stuff they no longer need...
00:34We have this fridge here.
00:35Yeah, OK.
00:36...to sell back at his auction house...
00:38Oh, no!
00:38Oh, wow!
00:40This is like an Aladdin's cave for me.
00:43Well, it looks fantastic here.
00:44...turning their possessions...
00:465,100.
00:47Like it.
00:48...into piles of money.
00:51Boom!
00:51Boom!
00:59We've got stuff spanning all the way from the Boer War...
01:04...all the way to World War II.
01:05A modern blanket box, panelled.
01:08This is the collectible piece right here.
01:11It's business as usual in the auction house.
01:14And out on the road, it's business as usual for Angus.
01:18Oh, my word.
01:19Look at that as a view.
01:20And he's got reason to be happy.
01:23He's off to see...
01:25Unapologetic style guru, Susanna Constantine.
01:29Much-loved presenter, best-selling author...
01:32...and wants a samba star in sequins on Strictly.
01:37For two decades, she helped Britain dress better...
01:40...alongside Trini Woodall on TV shows like What Not To Wear...
01:45...becoming a household name famous for empowering fashion advice.
01:50I think Angus is going to join my teddy bear collection...
01:56...because I'm a fan.
01:59Blimey, Angus. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
02:04He's meeting Susanna at her modest family home in West Sussex.
02:10Actually, he's not that modest.
02:13Dogs! In here!
02:15Along with the hounds, she lives here with her husband, Sten, and three children.
02:20This house is very much the sixth member of our family.
02:24It was built in 1860.
02:26What drew us to it mainly was the incredible view, which is 30 miles directly to the South Downs.
02:34It's kind of, I guess, shabby chic, you would call it.
02:37Most of the stuff we have is antique.
02:40Wherever I go, I try and find an antique fair or a flea market...
02:44...where I can go and route all through and see what little things I can find.
02:48Susanna clearly excels at buying, but she's not been much of a seller until now.
02:56I wanted Angus to come down because we have so much stuff.
03:01I'll be happy to see some things go to a good home.
03:05I've never auctioned anything before, so Angus is the perfect person to hold my hand through the experience.
03:16The money, some of it is going to go to charity, some of it's going to go into my bank account.
03:22I mean, let's be honest.
03:23That is a proper house.
03:25Susanna, hi, how are you doing?
03:32Lovely to meet you.
03:33Well done, come in.
03:34Oh, thank you.
03:35Yeah, come on in, teddy bear.
03:37Susanna, I'm in love.
03:39I know, but look at this, what, with me or the house?
03:41Well, both, obviously.
03:42How long have you lived here?
03:43We've lived here for nearly 20 years now.
03:46And we moved out of London when our son was eight.
03:49I hate London now.
03:52You're not from Yorkshire, are you?
03:55Well, my father is.
03:56Oh, see, I knew it.
03:58But I just, I hate crowds.
04:01I can't bear it.
04:02I literally feel I need to go into a sheep dip when I get back from London.
04:07Clearly a passion for history and antiques, looking at it.
04:11Nothing in this house is newly bought.
04:14And what sort of things are we looking at today?
04:16Well, it's more smaller things.
04:18You know, this is a big house and it needs a lot of furniture.
04:21So I didn't want to get rid of any of that because it would leave a big hole.
04:25So I've kind of gone for smaller things.
04:27I've gone for things that are kind of relevant to my past career working in fashion.
04:34I'm a bit loath to get rid of this.
04:36Oh, OK.
04:37But this is by a designer called Loren Scott.
04:40She was Mick Jagger's girlfriend for a long time.
04:42And this is an iconic dress.
04:44It's called the Bombshell.
04:46I was going to say, it looks like the bombardier that the, you know, the army symbol that we have for the bombardier.
04:51Yeah, see, you'd appreciate that.
04:53So this is a dress for you.
04:55Well, you know, it's not Friday night.
04:57So, is this one that you sort of bought or within your career were you, presumably got given lots of things?
05:04Do you know what, Angus?
05:05We never got, Trini and I never got given anything.
05:08Are you kidding me?
05:09But I did buy this for when we were filming What Not To Wear.
05:13So that's one.
05:14You'd look the bomb in that, wouldn't you?
05:16Well, I used to.
05:17Not anymore.
05:18Aww.
05:19Actually, vintage fashion has had a huge resurgence, hasn't it?
05:22Yeah, it really has.
05:23I mean, it is the thing at the moment, isn't it?
05:25Yeah.
05:26It's all about sustainability and recycling and responsible buying, which is so important.
05:31You know, it's probably sort of £50.
05:33Maybe even more.
05:34Shall we take a look at what else is to go?
05:36Onwards.
05:37Yeah, thank you.
05:38That one.
05:39Let's go.
05:43So we've got some more stuff here, Angus.
05:45Excellent.
05:46Okay, some little Cundell war sconces.
05:47Mm-hmm.
05:48Probably just 19th century.
05:49Yeah.
05:50And, you know, polished up, that actually reflects the light.
05:53Yeah.
05:54So you put your candles in on the wall and it reflects the light back to some extent.
05:57So, yeah, nice.
05:58Sconces first appeared in medieval Europe.
06:02During their heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, they helped grand homes save on their candle bills
06:09by bouncing the light from just a few around the whole room.
06:13And sell them as a pair.
06:14As a pair.
06:15Yeah.
06:16You know, 30 to 50, something like that.
06:17I can see why Susanna's not worried about her candle bills.
06:21She's got enough light in here.
06:23I mean, you've got a real eye, haven't you?
06:24Every piece in this house has a memory for me and that's what I love about it.
06:31It's wonderful.
06:32I'm so pleased.
06:33I'm so pleased.
06:34I'm so...
06:35I'm enjoying it, you know.
06:36It's great.
06:37I'm so chuffed.
06:38That really means a lot because you know, you know, so it means a lot.
06:43And then this, I know nothing about.
06:47It was given to us as a present and it sat in my bedside table drawer.
06:53An old pipe.
06:54So we'd class this as what we call Mearsham pipes.
06:57Mearsham is a soft white mineral mined mainly in Turkey that's been used to make pipes for 300 years.
07:05The mouthpieces out of amber, which is quite common for pipe mouthpieces.
07:10And people do collect them because they're works of art.
07:12The initial pipes were all...
07:13I mean, that's exquisite.
07:14The work in there, the detail is just amazing.
07:18They're always carved into characters, figures, sort of pictorial almost.
07:22And what date is it, do you think?
07:24Probably sort of mid 19th century.
07:27Not particularly old.
07:29Well...
07:30Very happy to get rid of that.
07:31Well, so we've got a few bits to go.
07:32Yeah.
07:33Anywhere else?
07:34We've got the cellar, which is the whole footprint of the house.
07:38I knew you'd have a cellar.
07:39I can go rummage in your cellar.
07:40Knock yourself out and go and have a look.
07:47Oh, wow.
07:49Now that's the walking wardrobe.
07:51Hang on a minute.
07:52I found the gents' railers.
07:53This is more me.
07:55That's a nice jacket.
07:57Classic.
07:58Good tweed.
07:59Herringbone tweed.
08:01OK, I need to go to the gym a little bit more.
08:03Actually, that's all right, is that?
08:04Good fit.
08:05Angus?
08:06Yes?
08:07What do you think?
08:08It actually looks really good on you.
08:09You've dressed a few people, haven't you?
08:10Yes.
08:11Jeremy Clarkson was probably the most tricky.
08:12He was like a toddler.
08:13No, no, no, no.
08:14No, I'm not wearing that.
08:15And he kept running out of shops.
08:16That must have been fun, though.
08:17You must have had great fun.
08:18So much fun.
08:19What do you think?
08:20You know, a few fashion tips?
08:21OK, well, just tuck your shirt in for a start.
08:22Yeah, well, I've been working.
08:23Yeah, it usually is.
08:24Because you've just got a little bit going on here.
08:25Yeah, right.
08:26Which is fine and manly.
08:27Nothing wrong with that at all.
08:28Yeah, yeah.
08:29Well, I've got a bit of middle aged.
08:30But if you go like that, just pull it out a little bit.
08:31Yeah.
08:32Just tuck your shirt in for a start.
08:33Yeah, well, I've been working.
08:34Yeah.
08:35It usually is.
08:36OK.
08:37Because you've just got a little bit going on here.
08:39Yeah, right.
08:40Which is fine and manly.
08:41Nothing wrong with that at all.
08:42Yeah, yeah.
08:43Well, I've got a bit of middle aged.
08:44But if you go like that.
08:45Yeah.
08:46Just pull it out a little bit.
08:48Yeah.
08:49And then that disguises the tum.
08:50That's your only area.
08:52Yeah.
08:53So if you wore like a navy shirt.
08:56Mm.
08:57So you want to wear darker collars on top and on the bottom.
09:00Oh, because I always do it the other way around.
09:01Yeah.
09:02No, you need darker collars on top.
09:03But the beard is great.
09:04Do you like the beard?
09:05Love the beard.
09:06I've had it for some time.
09:07When I came out in the army, I just stopped showing them.
09:09Yeah.
09:10It's so cool.
09:11You look great.
09:12I mean, it's amazing in here, isn't it?
09:14This is my legacy.
09:15A seller for the clothes.
09:16Yeah.
09:17I'm never going to sell them, ever.
09:18No.
09:19So, hands off.
09:21OK.
09:23I'll see you in a bit.
09:24OK.
09:25For the next hour, Angus manages to get Susanna to relinquish more things.
09:30Great back.
09:31I've sold a lot of LD over the years.
09:33Including a late 20th century Louis Vuitton garment bag.
09:37Now, this is a first edition.
09:40It's called an Eikopod.
09:42Eikopod is a Swiss watch company co-founded in 1994 by one of the world's most renowned designers,
09:49Mark Newson.
09:50He's worked with Apple, Ferrari, Swarovski and Nike, to name just a few.
09:56It's pretty unique and I know there were very few of them made.
10:01OK.
10:02We're doing well.
10:03This is good.
10:04Lovely.
10:05I recognise that design.
10:06George Jensen.
10:07Mm-hmm.
10:08Yeah.
10:09OK.
10:10Jensen jewellery, you know.
10:11Yeah.
10:12And Danish jewellery, full stop.
10:13My father-in-law was Danish.
10:15OK.
10:16So, hence.
10:17Hence the connection.
10:18Hence the connection.
10:19George Jensen's design house was opened in 1904.
10:23really well-known for those sort of art nouveau styles and shapes, very naturalistic, using
10:28a lot of things of nature, and become hugely collectible.
10:32There's a George Jensen silver bracelet and a necklace, which will be sold as two separate
10:38luxurious lots.
10:40I thought they'd be an easy win for you.
10:43Do you know what I mean?
10:45You're making my job very easy.
10:46Do I hear the dainty footsteps of an Angus?
10:54Look at this.
10:55I know.
10:56Isn't it amazing?
10:57Ah!
10:58So, are you all done?
10:59I'm done.
11:00Packed up and, yeah, I'll hit the road.
11:02Back to Yorkshire.
11:03It'd be quite nerve-wracking, watching it.
11:05Yeah.
11:06I mean, it's the thing.
11:07It's like, why something doesn't sell?
11:08It's all good stuff.
11:09Yeah.
11:10You've got quality stuff, quality always sells.
11:11We'll see you on sale day.
11:12All right, my darling.
11:13I look forward to it.
11:14All right, thank you.
11:15Wonderful.
11:16Yeah.
11:17All right.
11:18We'll see you up then.
11:19All right, drive safely.
11:20Bye.
11:21Bye.
11:22I have absolutely loved today.
11:26The auction is so exciting.
11:29I was so chuffed that Angus loved this house so much,
11:33because you don't hear that often, and I knew he meant it.
11:38It's going to tot up.
11:39There's some high-value goods there.
11:41I'll try and take her tips on board about my fashion,
11:43and see if we can impress her at the auction.
11:46Good idea, Angus.
11:48You wouldn't want her dressing down from Susanna.
11:50On the back here is fully hallmarked.
11:55All of Susanna's things are back at the auction house,
11:57and the team have made a start on cataloguing them all in time for auction.
12:03Are you all right, Jeremy?
12:04Well, thanks.
12:05How are you?
12:06I'm good, thank you.
12:07Yeah.
12:08They're really nice, aren't they?
12:09Yeah.
12:10They're really nice, aren't they?
12:11Yeah, little Japanese netskis.
12:12When you were wearing your kimono, you would have the loops that would go through,
12:14and these form like a toggle.
12:15Because kimonos didn't have pockets back in 17th century Japan, people use these little clasps called netsuki to attach pouches to them.
12:22You can see the toggle, you know, with the cord holes there.
12:25Yeah.
12:26And carve them out of all sorts of material, local woods, antler, and that sort of thing.
12:30They went from being quite plain to really dachshyous pieces.
12:33A lot of it related to Japanese mythology.
12:34It was actually a lady.
12:35And used other penguins, but theeyou king was not a little too little thing.
12:40A lot of it requires that they'rebeiten, but they're not a little bitvosno.
12:42That might even be done for they're African ever since we had been super very much inside.
12:43The lines just weren't monthly and over the last three inches late nuit.
12:45He's in the middle of the night
12:53You can see the toggleet, you know, with the cord holes there.
12:54Carve them out of all sorts of material, local words, antler, and that sort of thing.
12:56And they went from being quite plain to really dachshyous pieces.
12:59A lot of it related to Japanese mythology
13:01his little clam slash jellyfish who got the monkey but then the monkey realizes
13:07being tricked and there's a whole story this ancient Japanese fairy tale dates
13:12back to at least the 12th century these nets of keys aren't quite that old but
13:17could be the lot to watch on sale day these are mid 20th century I mean they
13:23are works of art aren't they really beautiful once 200 of the pair I think
13:27hopefully they'll do all right on the day
13:37oh hi how are you doing you're right good trip up yes so lovely to be here first
13:44thing I saw was this kind of glaring white didn't we talk about a blue shirt yeah

13:53you look really smart you look yeah you look a little bit country a little bit
13:57farmer a little bit corporate elegant oh you look fab yeah but that's not what
14:03it's about today is it this is your domain now yes I'm nervous that no one's
14:07going to want anything and I'm going to take that personally it's got lots of
14:11memories I think we'll be all right lots of people online lots of people here so
14:14see how we get on Susanna has 11 lots up for grabs in today's auction and then
14:31this the Ike pod watch it's gonna be a collector's piece surely Susanna's got some
14:38interesting bits in obviously the fashion items how well will they do hopefully
14:42there's some fashion gurus out here the Loren Scott but you can't get anything
14:49like this anymore and I think I wore it on Oprah Winfrey show yes I did and she
14:54loved it so she wouldn't have looked as good as me course not Susanna now grab a
15:02front row seat forget the catwalks of Milan today's runway is the rostrum without
15:09two Charlotte styling it out ready for a flurry of online bidders all we need is

20:01is sold but just how much cash has she racked up hello hello you're right yeah I'm good I'm sort of
20:10slightly in shock oh was it that bad no it wasn't it's just right it's so nerve-wracking and it's so
20:16impressive watching you do that it's like watching the Grand National you know it's like coming in and
20:21you know in second place and third place and fourth place that's what it's like it's like watching
20:25like I do a bit of horse racing commentary on the weekend of course you do no I'm joking well you
20:30should you should well I suppose I ought to tell you how much money you'd be taking home oh yes how much
20:372,528 pounds what yeah that's amazing I'm really surprised by that wow there we go good trip to
20:45Yorkshire I am stunned of course genuinely good oh great it's been an absolute pleasure so you take
20:51care all the best oh I feel I can breathe now I mean what a result and a bit of that's going to go
21:01to a really good charity the Elton John AIDS Foundation and then the rest of it's going to
21:07the Susanna Constantine charity absolutely delighted uh Susanna lovely you know a bit of a bidding frenzy on
21:15on the net skis they did really well she was very surprised with the money raised and I'm now
21:20mr. stylish apparently she said I look good so I'll take it
21:29right you and long drive ahead of us uh-huh London it's gonna be it's gonna be interesting in the
21:37Luton Angus's latest adventure means a whopping 250 mile trip to West London London Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea
21:48it's fine until you sort of have to break into London in a vehicle isn't it and then there's
21:54a vehicle of this size yeah changing speeds this lane that like oh that sounds like an awful lot of
22:02stress for you I'm gonna put my headphones on I think oh cheers Ewan thanks yeah a bit rude Ewan
22:07I hope you don't behave badly for the client you're going to see today
22:11we're going to go see Leslie Ash having made her screen debut in a washing up liquid advert age just four
22:32Leslie worked as a model before shooting to fame in the 1979 cult movie Quadrophenia she became a
22:4190s icon as Debs in men behaving badly and has starred in numerous hit TV shows for 36 years she's
22:50been married to Leeds United legend Lee Chapman we were the original Posh and Becks I just like to put
22:57that forward Leslie and Lee live in this luxurious split-level Riverside Penthouse we've been here 21
23:07years so last year we decided we were going to do a refurb we put everything in boxes and then when
23:14it was all done I don't want to clutter it all up again a lot of the things that Angus is taking to
23:22auction for me the things that I've lived with all my life I feel a bit like that apprehensive about it
23:32but at the same time I feel I've got to move on don't worry Leslie mr. cool calm and collected is on
23:39his way there's traffic cars everywhere you yeah sorry smile I think we need a like a flag that says
23:46I'm from the north yeah okay well we have arrived welcome to Chelsea well done Angus
23:58thank you thank you brought you in with me hello hi nice meeting wow quite the apartment well yeah
24:16very lucky fantastic views we haven't always been down here have you no I mean during Lee's career as a
24:22footballer we moved all over the place Yorkshire Yorkshire beautiful so what sort of items are we
24:30looking at oh got lots of different items and also if you see anything along the way yeah feel free
24:36okay well you do you want to grab some boxes then yeah and then shall we have a look yep yeah okay I've
24:42got something to show you okay wonderful it's just over here so clock is number one you know I remember
24:49this as a child being on the mantelpiece French mantel clock uh very pretty two port keys you'd have
24:55to wind it up every eight days but with an eight day clock the great thing was you just get in the
24:59routine every Sunday morning you'd wind the clocks and then they'd never run out okay it was keeping my
25:05son awake when he slept up here so he sort of took the bell off and took the pendulum on let's see if
25:12it strikes I've got a key here see it's nice nice isn't it yeah no wonder my son unscrews it
25:21it needs a little bit of tlc hopefully we'll find a good home for it oh these look funky oh that men
25:29behaving badly 1995 do you remember that I do I do I was probably old enough at the tail end of when it
25:37was on the BBC so somebody must have made this for you then well yes the producer of men behaving badly
25:42yeah she was a potter yeah so consequently birthdays Christmases we always got something so that that's
25:50obviously meant to be Martin and Neil and Caroline and myself there's a plate as well I mean it was a
25:56hugely popular series wasn't it none of us thought that that would ever be as successful as it was yeah
26:05but now it sort of like makes sense because it was the first sitcom if you like for young people
26:13yeah it was about these two very very funny idiot guys that lived together and their long-suffering
26:20girlfriends I think I'll hang on to them for a bit longer yeah I don't blame you Leslie have a look at
26:27these okay these are two Parisian street lamps wow they're massive I know they're enormous and they
26:34are so heavy not what I expected to be in your cupboard no I've got these from a French site
26:40and we used to have a bar in Clapham and they hung in the bar for years and years and years so wow how
26:48long did you run a bar for well funny enough it used to be my parents shop and me and I took over the
26:54lease and made it into a bar which was in 2000 okay yeah so we only just got rid of it I suppose a
27:02couple of years ago so you'd like those to go I'd like those to go okay light features are hugely
27:08popular massive market you happy Leslie for me to just run it through absolutely yeah you go put your
27:15feet up happy rummaging you know I prefer rolling hills but it is quite an incredible view what you
27:25can see from up here right on the banks of the Thames and you know she showed me a few bits that
27:29she's got so let's see what we can find and what we can do and good job the lift works because we're a
27:34long way up hey hope what's how you unspotted a humidor mm-hmm humidors are containers for cigars
27:46yeah in the earliest form they go back a long way into the 18th century yeah and it's all about the
27:52the moisture the humidity so the ideal range is 65 to 75 percent humidity okay for a cigar so there's a
27:59little humidity dial in there yeah and things like that no cigars in it no no close but no cigar yeah
28:07it's amazing to think you know that's where the phrase comes from in the Victorian period at fairs
28:11and things you could win a cigar oh really is that you missed you're close but you know okay that's
28:17where it comes from I didn't know that what sort of estimate do we reckon on this it's a fairly
28:21modernish box and so you know realistically 30 to 60 I think she's happy for that to go I've got
28:28three grandchildren whatever I make on the auction I'll have a good day out yeah I'm really looking
28:33forward to that those denim boots that's quite cool Dolce & Gabbana I've heard of them those are
28:44denim boots oh my god I used to live in them oh they're fantastic in 2004 I literally fell out of bed
28:52and broke my ribs I was in hospital and then infection went right into the spine 20% of my
28:59spinal column was damaged so I had to learn to walk again and I could never ever wear high heels again I
29:06lost my career but you know what I'm very lucky I've got my family and that's the most important thing to
29:14me Leslie's favorite boots will go in a lot with two other designer pairs gucci's while these gucci
29:24black leather pumps will be sold separately not your style I don't think yeah pure denim boots aren't
29:30really me Angus well you don't know until you've tried you and for the next hour the lads scour
29:36Leslie's Penthouse for more saleable treasures Napoleon yes Napoleonic series made sort of in the
29:46sort of 60s 70s and they're all different French generals marshals and that sort of thing so this is
29:51a marshals baton I say it's not Napoleon no that's not Napoleon that's one of his top-ranking officers
29:58this period of history and Napoleonic the Peninsula Wars it's still very collectible this chap will go in
30:06a mixed lot with a Victorian glass inkwell two stoneware jars and three continental plates
30:12it's just the cover that keeps on giving we've got a real mixture and it's solid silver it's
30:17probably sort of about 50 to 100 pounds in Cornish there so that's all right
30:20they're as heavy as they look well I'm glad they're going in the lift probably run out of space and
30:29I'll have to run down nine flights of stairs oh whoa Ewan
30:32oh two classic lighters here from different countries but very similar sort of 50s 60s first
30:50of all the Dunhill lighter Dunhill found in the late 19th century specializing in smoking accessories
30:56like lighters pipes and that sort of thing then we've got this lighter which is Calibri founded
31:02in 1928 you can get really expensive ones that are made in gold these are just plated probably sell
31:08the two together 40 to 80 something like that and nice little lot and with that it's time for the
31:16five-hour trip back home to Yorkshire Leslie we're all done are you yeah all loaded up
31:22are we feeling now things have gone I feel a little bit more refreshed good so looking forward to the
31:29sale it's gonna be lovely coming up yeah guess what no traffic lights no multi lanes just one road
31:35occasionally there's a tractor this is his way of saying he's nervous about the London roads on the
31:40way back oh right okay yeah it's been fun it has nice to see you both brilliant we'll see you on sale
31:46though okay thanks a lot yeah well it went really well today I thought lovely meeting Angus and Ewan just
31:53nice to be educated he definitely knows his stuff doesn't he we've got an interesting mix of items
32:00from lights to French mantle clock to coins to designer shoes say we'll do the best we can get it back get it
32:07catalogued and see how we can do it's not the biggest hole but my word there are 10 quality lots
32:14Angus's mission now is to make each one bring Leslie a windfall so it's not 10 behaving sadly on auction day
32:37hi jack hi there you go thanks for moving that no worries so this is uh the leslie ash job down in
32:42chelsea not a huge amount of stuff um so i think we'll start with the heaviest shall we two glass
32:47balls two glass balls yeah they're actually prison street lamps once leslie's goodies are all safely
32:54inside the process of cataloguing them for the auction can begin so these have come from leslie ash
33:02uh they're her husband lee chapman's and i believe it was his father's collection he was a player as
33:07well wasn't he i think it was roy chapman roy chapman smattering of dates from the 50s into the 70s right
33:14in total there are 25 football programs mostly for fa cup finals you've got some great names here look
33:22manchester united in 1957 they lost uh to aston villa and lee chapman's father was playing for villa
33:29at the time all right but when we get to 1958 and the team had to be completely and utterly rebuilt
33:34because they lost so many people in that terrible disaster in february 1958 a plane carrying manchester
33:43united's young team the busby babes crashed on takeoff in munich germany 23 people died including
33:51eight players it was one of football's darkest days this is the program for the fa cup final played just
33:59three months later most sort of neutral people wanted manchester united to win but unfortunately
34:06they lost you remember that name oh is that uh sir bobby yes it is yeah it is yeah yeah yeah
34:13interesting collection value-wise possibly 30 to 50 around that price yeah i think that's about right
34:17yeah well last time i went to a game i watched forest get slaughtered by manchester city and i bought
34:22the program on the way and i think it was 12 quid had i known they were going to get slaughtered six
34:27yeah i wouldn't bother to buy it i had to come back with some books we've got a four volume set
34:39of the waverly novels which obviously walter scott um absolute classic of british literature and i've
34:45also got this set here of kipling work printed in 1910. the thing that really caught my eye with all
34:51these books is this marbling we've got this fantastic pattern of sort of pinks and blues and greens
34:57marble paper goes all the way back to at least the 10th century originating from china you apply a
35:04series of colors to a vat of water and then you can create these fantastic swirling patterns
35:10these waverly novels date from 1877 at the time marbling wasn't just for decoration the unique swirls
35:19also helped prove if books were genuine the two sets which belonged to leslie's grandfather will go
35:26into a lot with four volumes of shakespeare plays and sonnets this marbling really does set it apart
35:34so i'm hoping that this might appeal to a dealer or a collector
35:46wow here we go here's the clock you're going to go to a good home
35:57morning oh hello how are we doing yeah good thanks just checking the time yeah just checking the time
36:03it's it seems strange seeing it in a different environment and how are we feeling about the
36:07auction i'm feeling really confident that they need to fly off the shelves we will do our best
36:13we'll see how we get on i'll see you up on the roster and see you soon good luck thanks leslie
36:18has 10 lots up for grabs so it's quality not quantity today trivia star item are those two
36:25amazing globe lamps yeah the team's been busy marketing the items and making sure the buyers
36:31are here for it so i'm sure we'll get some good results i think they look really lovely in someone's
36:36garden with it converted into little lamps some of these things i've not looked at for months so they
36:43have to go but you know someone else can love them and i'm really excited to see angus to see the man
36:49in action yep fingers crossed he can raise you a tidy sum to splash on your grandkids there's a room full
36:57of punters whilst millie and jasper are poised to deal with hundreds more waiting to bid online so
