00:28wrestling chatter and let's start with the latest on matt cardona's status or zach ryder's status or
00:34matt condona if you watched nxt the other week but zach ryder if you watch smackdown on friday for yes
00:40smackdown saw zach ryder back in a wwe ring for the first time in five years at least you know in the
00:47main roster ring and it was very much zach ryder announced as zach ryder in zach ryder gear with
00:52zach ryder merch into zach ryder's old oh radio entrance theme or you know at least a remix
00:59version of that song and so many fans have been speculating whether this appearance which was a
01:04first round loss to la night in the last time is now tournament whether that was you know was it just
01:10a one-off or whether zach uh matt cardona broski was back in wwe you know a proper full-time return
01:17on top of that there was also the classic point photo of triple h and the death match king the
01:22indie god backstage plus of zach ryder merchandise as well it is now available on wwe shop.com
01:28however despite that it looks like zach ryder matt cardona has not signed with wwe now this comes
01:34from fight for select um and their sources were both wwe and also from matt cardona's side he is
01:40not signed with wwe right now uh though wwe sources confirm that there is a merchandise deal in place
01:45hence why there is zach ryder merchandise now on wwe shop.com go and buy yourself some t-shirts
01:50why not i don't know why i'm saying that i'm not on commission or anything although if you want to
01:53pay me wwe mean pay me apart from the extra stuff you give us to to write positive stories about you
01:58then you know um no um obviously this could change and i'm sure you know if that zach ryder merchandise
02:04sells well in wwe i mean they're clearly going to be keen to to bring him back and you know cardona
02:09did he did great on friday which is i mean that's a weird thing to say is a dude has been
02:13absolutely busting his ass man on the indies uh tna and gcw the the nwa uh house of glory wherever
02:19he's been busting his backside for the last five years so of course he's going to look great but
02:25you have to remember there are some people uh some people who say in this instance that they only
02:30watch wwe uh there are some people who aren't keeping up with things online that aren't keeping
02:34up with spoilers or news or whatever or what people are doing away from just that bubble of what
02:38they watch on tv for you know a couple of hours on a monday or a couple hours on a friday
02:42and so for those people i mean this might be the first time that they've seen matt cardona or zach
02:46ryder since he left the debut in 2020 and so in terms of making an impression i guess first impression
02:52but it's not really first impression but for those people who've not been keeping up with cardona and
02:55the point i'm making is he would have looked great where it's like oh god where's this guy been for
02:58five years what's he been doing he looks absolutely jacked he's slightly tanned um and and his work is
03:04great and it's just his whole personality comes through um i mean the other side of that as well i guess is
03:09that he has to have sight what does matt cardona want to return to wwe i mean he's made the point
03:14of not signing lengthy deals in recent years um often work without a contract for tna regularly
03:18talking up the freedom of his own schedule and whatnot and the money that he's been making because
03:22the dude like i said he's been absolutely killing it man um if there's ever a wrestler who gets
03:27released who questions whether there's a future for them in the business who questions whether they
03:31can still make a living whether they can make it work matt cardona is the blueprint on how to make it
03:35work um it will take a lot of work but you can make yourself an even bigger star by hustling by
03:40running the hard yards um so would matt cardona want to give up that freedom to return to w if there
03:46was a chance i mean that's obviously that's up to him uh and card cardona is in that privileged spot
03:50where i say privilege it's a spot he's 100 earned where he's one of those rare independent wrestlers
03:55who might make more money on the indies than he would in wwe um i mean the other side of that though
03:59he has regularly talked about wanting to get back to wwe and obviously his wife now works there too
04:03with chelsea green um and there is like that great uh kevin owens line when he's on the cully rose
04:07podcast that he's like matt cardona the the indie god and he's like yeah for the indie god or whatever
04:12somebody loves working in these he showed us talk a lot about wanting to come back to wwe and why he's
04:16not being rehired but anyways uh for now at least matt cardona zach rider has not re-signed with wwe
04:21bar that merchandise deal now of course cardona is a tna regular was actually in action at yesterday's tna
04:27tapings and on that front several tna deals are said to be up soon again this comes from fightful
04:32select um which reports that a number of tna contracts come up soon with aj francis named as
04:37one of them the former top dollar now the relationship between francis and tna said to be good
04:41tna is hopeful of re-signing him and likewise aj francis is said to be very happy with the
04:47opportunities been given in tna interestingly this is a similar situation to last year where aj francis
04:52actually became a free agent for a short spell before then ultimately re-signing with tna uh there
04:57were also reports over the weekend that zachary wentz of the rascals uh his deal was coming up at
05:02the end of the year as well now desmond xavier um announced as desmond alexander which was odd
05:07um but made his tna return at turning point on friday uh surprise partner for the rascals the
05:12to the surprise of nobody but that was kind of by design uh the former wesley if you only know him
05:17from wwe from t from nxt uh and it said that um yeah desmond is not actually under contract with
05:23tna but that creative plans are in place for him in the company but with uh where's with desmond
05:27not under contract and with wentz's deal up soon there is said to be plenty of interest in the
05:31rascals as a whole because you know they could become well it could be the whole i guess the
05:35whole that might even be free agents who knows but i i love some rascals man not whatever version
05:39of the rascals we're talking about just such a a fun team to watch um which reminds me desmond
05:44xavier was challenging the hlg world champion charles mason last night a house of glory super clash
05:49which is on my watch list for this afternoon i mean i'll always show some love the hlg man
05:54such a fun product and that mike santana run as the uh hlg world champion was just absolutely
05:59phenomenal i had a lot of fun that man so many banger matches i mean speaking of which that
06:03decisions uh oh lol tna man that decision to have santana drop the tna world title already that was
06:09certainly um that was certainly a choice again tna is another company that i'll always
06:14root for that i'll always try to cover as much as i can here that i'll always push to cover as
06:19much as i can i am that guy saying let's talk about tna but geez man sometimes you just cannot
06:24get away from the lol tna and that was certainly the case we're taking the title of santana this
06:28past week uh yes it's great heat brother it's all about the journey back to the top to getting
06:32revenge to making it back to the top of the mountain but yeah that was just such a dumb decision
06:36and i love me some frankie kazarian and it's great to see kaz finally win the tna world title but
06:41not now and not not in this way i just that's something i could go on about for hours so i
06:46will just move away from the decision the creative decision to take the world title of mike santana
06:49already but you know what while i'm talking about santana and while i'm mentioning house of glory i
06:53might as well just get straight into it and talk about mercedes-money winning another world title
06:57this was going to be our fourth and final story today but i'm switching things around sorry to
07:01editor ryan uh but yes mercedes-money is now 13 belts money and while i've not yet not yet
07:08watched the whole super clash event that's for later today along with usc 322 but while i've
07:12not watched all of super clash i have seen that mercedes won herself a 13th title yes the ceo is
07:19now the new apac women's champion defeating nor phoenix diana for that title last night now phoenix is
07:26a two-time apac women's champion that brings her reign to an end at 763 days
07:32and so deep breath mercedes-money is now the aew tbs champion the aew women's owing heart cup
07:41champion the cmll women's champion the red pro undisputed british women's champion which also
07:46includes the queen of south side championship the ewa women's champion the prime time wrestling
07:50women's champion the best year women's champion the discovery wrestling scottish women's champion
07:55the body slam women's champion the interim roh women's tv champion the wpw women's champion and the
08:00apac women's champion oh i'm gonna lie down after that that is the get my breath back um also
08:06mercedes i should probably add as well has a chance to add another title to her collection on wednesday
08:11when she faces red velvet in a title unification match now red velvet is the roh women's tv champion
08:16mercedes is the interim roh women's tv champion and they're having a unification match on this week's
08:21dynamite and yes a unification match usually means you know a unification two becoming one but of course
08:27i'm sure those belts will be classified as being a separate uh separate entities so we'll have 14
08:31belts monet on wednesday and then there's also the small matter of mercedes challenger for the aew
08:35women's world title at full gear as the ultimo monet the bell collector continues on and for me um
08:42i mean i'd actually let me say these lose to statlander at full gear um then start the downward spiral
08:46losing belt after belt but then that only kind of really pays off uh all of this only really pays
08:51off if mercedes revisits all of those promotions dropping those titles to the promotions you know top stars
08:55upcoming talents um i just hope man i just hope this is not a case of we get to a point where it's
09:00just you know it's gonna kind of vacate a bunch of those um but we'll see and someone who some eager
09:04fans did not see yesterday was bill goldberg you see bill goldberg was supposed to be doing a virtual
09:11signing event for kns wrestle fest yesterday now bill goldberg was at the big event in new york which
09:16sounded like a lot of fun man um i heard the solomonster mention it a few times uh the past week um
09:20and it sounded like it's gonna be great lots of uh celebrities there lots of wrestlers shout out to jason by the
09:25way always doing such awesome work but that was such great content uh we had a big event had a bunch
09:29of celebrities there a bunch of wrestlers and supposedly bill goldberg was seen there smiling
09:33happy chatting to people taking pictures taking photos there's some photos of him catching up with sting
09:37but bill goldberg well bill goldberg didn't make his appearance for kns um in a statement from
09:42kns uh here we go unfortunately goldberg you missed the bill out there unfortunately goldberg
09:47private signing did not happen we had all our items laid out ready to sign as goldberg bill goldberg
09:52was doing another private for another vendor after he was done he got up and said he was done
09:56he walked out past our stuff and left we're all super disappointed and frustrated my apologies to all
10:01now bill goldberg has yet to comment on this so there remains to be seen whether any further
10:06information will come out but yes those kns customers wanted some signed bill goldberg stuff
10:11were obviously left disappointed bill goldberg and with that be sure to check out the other excellent
