00:02If you've been here a while,
00:03you know we love a melting vegetable.
00:04I'm partial to a beat,
00:05but French onion melting potatoes
00:07is quickly moving into first place
00:08because holy cow.
00:09I forgot to add the butter.
00:11Once you remember all the seasoning,
00:12these go into your 9 by 13 to roast
00:14and we're making a beef broth and garlic sauce.
00:16It's French onion,
00:17so of course I'm caramelizing onions.
00:19Steam them first for a time-saving cheat
00:21and then you add a little sherry vinegar tang at the end.
00:24When the potatoes are done,
00:25butter is gonna melt into the sauce
00:27and we top these guys with our onions
00:29and shredded Gruyere cheese
00:31and let them broil until they're hot,
00:33bubbly, and a little crispy on top.
