00:00If you've been checking your mailbox for those $2,000 tariff rebate checks President Trump had
00:04promised, I wouldn't hold your breath. The president was asked about the timing of the
00:09payouts, whether they would make it into our wallets by Christmas. And here's what he said
00:13to reporters on Air Force One over the weekend. The Supreme Court's ruling on the president's
00:24tariff authority could greatly impact or potentially completely cancel any checks
00:29from ever being cut, meaning next year could really be never. Then there's the fact that if SCOTUS
00:35allows the tariff money to stay in the country's coffers, Congress would still need to approve such
00:40a large budget item. And speaking of tariffs, this news comes on the heels of the announcement that
00:45the Trump administration will eliminate tariffs on coffee, bananas, and some other goods that are
00:49imported from places like Guatemala, El Salvador, Argentina, and Ecuador in an effort to lower
00:55Americans' grocery bills. The New York Times also reported that the White House is looking to
00:59eliminate certain beef tariffs in order to bring the cost of meat down as well.
01:03very close to the government. The New York Times is looking to be a little bit lower. The New York Times
01:10is looking to be a little bit more. But, that's a simple, a little bit more, a little bit more.
01:17It's not a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big deal.
