Are illegal vendors in Curepe about to face the consequences? The Tunapuna Piarco Regional Corporation (TPRC) has issued a final notice to vendors operating illegally along the Southern Main Road. They have until Wednesday to remove their structures or face demolition.

For some time now, the TPRC has been lenient, often simply moving structures. However, the situation has become a public health concern, with issues like rodent infestations affecting nearby residential areas. The corporation is now taking a firm stance.

Vendors also face fines of $3,000 for breaching the Municipal Corporation Act by erecting illegal structures on the road reserve. While the TPRC is open to relocating vendors to established locations, they are now enforcing regulations to address the growing problem of illegal vending.
