00:00Well, when I was the Shadow Culture Secretary, I said that, you know, I had long been a strong advocate of the BBC, but some of their actions of late make that so challenging for people like myself.
00:12It is appalling that there had been this sort of editing, not just once, but twice on the president's speeches and contributions.
00:20Yes, they're right to apologise. Yes, it's right that two senior people have resigned. But I'm afraid the BBC are going to have to go a lot further to restore confidence about impartiality.
00:34And that is why we're calling on them to make some serious changes to the way that they're operating.
