Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC, accusing the British broadcaster of airing an 'edited and misleading' version of his January 6 Capitol speech. According to Trump’s legal team, the BBC’s broadcast allegedly distorted his remarks and damaged his reputation as he seeks to redefine his political future.

00:00In a little while you'll be seeing, I'm suing the BBC for putting words in my mouth, literally to put words in my mouth.
00:06They had me saying things that I never said coming out, I guess they used AI or something.
00:10So we'll be bringing that lawsuit. A lot of people are asking, when are you bringing that lawsuit?
00:15Even the media can't believe that one.
00:17They actually put terrible words in my mouth, having to do with January 6th, that I didn't say.
00:23And the beautiful words that I said, right? The beautiful words.
00:30Talking about patriotism and all of the good things that I said, they didn't say that, but they put terrible words.
00:38They actually have me speaking with words that I never said.
00:41And they got caught, because I believe somebody at BBC said, this is so bad, it has to be reported.
00:48Let's call fake news.
00:49So we'll be filing that suit probably this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
