The Met Office says the number of named storms has increased in recent autumn and winter seasons. We asked people in Birmingham whether they think climate change is responsible, or if the weather has always been this unpredictable.
00:00I think climate change, especially around like where we live, whenever it was raining like we never got floods and I feel like the last couple of years when I have to drive home on like back roads and stuff and like I've lost like my license plate because of the floods and stuff, they've never been that bad so I think it's got to be climate change, there's no way it, yeah, save the planet.
00:25I think the weather's always been this way, I think we're going through the cycles as it's always been over the generations I think, I think they just say that don't they, just to, yeah, I think it's weather change is normal.
00:41The weather's always been bad, in my opinion.
00:45I think it's climate change, you know, I'm in my seventies, I don't ever remember the weather being as bad as it has been. Summers are hotter, winters are colder, wet. Stormy, I don't remember those storms.
