00:00speaking of football items we need to get back to drake may's top of the list

00:04yep and you have been talking to people around the league in terms of who they consider to be

00:11the mvp of the league and from what you heard last week before drake may had another win but

00:18not a marquee performance you were not hearing a lot of love for drake may in that conversation

00:24yeah although like i i think the important context here at least as far as i see it

00:31is that the way i did it was i didn't ask people to vote one two three four five i asked for one

00:39winner in every category um the context to that is that drake may did get an mvp vote one mvp vote

00:47he was also third for offensive player of the year which he was the highest ranking quarterback and

00:53offensive player of the year voting which tells me there were other people who were voting who

00:58wanted to recognize him but didn't think he was the mvp which is ostensibly saying he's second for me

01:04right and then i had other people tell me he would have been in the the top group so this isn't people

01:10voting and saying no he's not my top five this is people just voting for someone else with their one

01:15pick and um so like i think that that's the context there i do think people respect the the the the year

01:22that he's having i also think like matthew stafford who wound up winning it is having the sort of year

01:30and i've made this comparison tom brady in 2010 where like his statistics are so clean and like it's

01:37just i think he's on pace for 47 touchdowns and four interceptions and the rams might be the best team

01:44in the league they play in a very tough division they've played a very tough schedule

01:47so like i i think i can understand why people would want to give it to stafford given the year

01:53that he's having given the career that he's had which these sometimes can be storyline awards too

01:58and part of the storyline for the rant for in this one would be like this guy's been this good a player
