The first image has surfaced showing suspected terrorist Dr. Mohammad Umar driving the Hyundai i20 that later exploded near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday night, killing nine and injuring 20. Umar, a doctor at Al Falah Medical College in Faridabad, is linked to the Faridabad terror module. He is reportedly a close associate of Adeel Ahmad Rather, a former senior resident doctor at Anantnag’s Government Medical College, whose arrest last week led investigators to conduct Monday’s Faridabad raid.

00:00India today's access is the first image of the Doctor of Doom who was driving that I-20 vehicle.
00:07His name is Dr. Muhammad Umar.
00:10Dr. Muhammad Umar was seen as part of a group of doctors.
00:17That's his first image that we get you.
00:20He's the doctor who's believed to have driven the I-20 car laden with explosives.
00:25He was also employed as a doctor at the Al-Falah Hospital.
00:32That's the first image of the Doctor of Doom, Dr. Muhammad Umar.
00:36Do keep in mind, the other doctor who was taken into custody, Dr. Shaheen, a lady doctor.
00:43She was arrested with an AK-47 assault rifle that was recovered from a car and subsequently flown to Srinagar.
00:49He was also a part of this module, according to sources in the Delhi police, as was Dr. Muzammil Ganai.
00:56Dr. Muzammil Ganai was arrested from Faridabad.
00:58360 kilograms of highly inflammable material was recovered on the basis of his interrogation.
01:06Police believe that could be ammonium nitrate.
01:08Certain arms and ammunition and bomb-making material, including timers, timer devices with batteries,
01:15were recovered from his possession.
01:18In all, the Delhi police, the Haryana police, on the basis of information that came in,
01:24both from Gujarat Police Anti-Terror Squad and the Jammu and Kashmir police,
01:29have been able to recover 2,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate.
01:34And that is where police believe Dr. Mohamed Umar panicked.
01:39When three other doctors were arrested, when 2,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate was recovered,
01:46Dr. Adil Rathar is the third doctor who was taken into custody.
01:51There's another fourth doctor, incidentally, who was arrested by the Gujarat Police.
01:57The Gujarat Police Anti-Terror Squad had taken Dr. Ahmed Moinuddin Syed, MBBS doctor,
02:05who was trying to make ricin from castor oil beans.
02:09He had collected raw material and chemicals and lab tools to make that toxin ricin.
02:16He's also been arrested in a separate, in a completely separate bust.
02:20Mobile phones of these doctors that have been recovered, in some instances,
02:28have been sent for forensic examination.
02:31And what was their plot?
02:34Police, on the basis of initial investigation, say their plot was a mass casualty attack
02:40in different parts of India.
02:43I quickly want to cut across to India Today's Piyush Mishra for more on this big story.
02:57Imagine, this is the tip of the iceberg, Piyush.
03:002,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate fortunately recovered in the nick of time.
03:07Unfortunately, one doctor managed to evade the police.
03:11What more can you tell us about Dr. Mohamad Umar's role in this terror plot?
03:18Thank you, Gujarat.
03:19Well, Gujarat Mohamad, Dr. Umar's role is now being played by all agencies,
03:23be it about Delhi Police, NIA, NSD, they all are working in tandem.
03:27And his role becomes very crucial because he is the man who was also seen driving the I-20 car.
03:33He left from the parking spot at 6.40pm
03:37and then reached there at the last spot, which is the red light of Red Red Fort.
03:43And at 6.52pm, the blast has taken place.
03:47So how did he enter in Delhi's territory?
03:50How did he cross the border from Haryana, from the Delhi-Farizabad point?
03:56And how did he reach there at the Red Fort parking area?
04:02All these angles are now being slated by the concerned officials.
04:08All the scenes officials of the emergency are present there at this spot.
04:13And they are also looking into all the angles.
04:15So it is going to be very important to see as to how, you know, this entire plot,
04:22the terror plot was carried out and who all are involved in this entire attack.
04:28Remember that the rates were also carried out by various agencies throughout the night
04:33where multiple people have been arrested.
04:35And now the role of Dr. Umar is also being thoroughly investigated.
04:39So we have information of four doctors as of now.
04:44We know of Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Muhammad Umar, Dr. Adil Rathar and Dr. Shaheen.
04:52Now, this Dr. Muhammad Umar, the man you see on your television screen,
04:57the man who was apparently a professor at the Al-Fala College
05:03or Al-Fala Hospital and College.
05:06He, was this a plan to carry out a terror attack
05:10or was this a plan of transporting this explosive?
05:15Do we have any more details?
05:17But for three hours, what was he doing outside Sunahri Masjid near Red Fort?
05:21Do we have information about that, Piyush?
05:24Well, Gaurav, what we are now learning from all sources is that
05:27he reached there at the parking area around 3.18pm yesterday
05:32and he was there in the parking area,
05:34which is right next to Sunahri Masjid for at least three hours
05:37and he left at around 6.45pm.
05:40So he was basically waiting for the appropriate time to come
05:44and then he, after taking a long U-turn,
05:48he took around 20 minutes to reach there at the blast spot
05:51where finally he was, he turned out this attack,
05:56a divine attack in which nine people have died
05:59and more than 20 are injured.
06:00So this showed as to how, you know, proper planning was done.
06:04The time was selected.
06:06The route was also marked from Faridhapath to Latkanagar to Outerring Road
06:11and then there at the ITU area.
06:14The point here is that how did he be able to enter in a territory of national capital
06:19carrying so much explosives?
06:21This is what, you know, is now being investigated.
06:24But he also told Gaurav is that he ensured that all salons of this car identity are paid
06:30so that no traffic options stopped him while on his journey from Haryana to Delhi,
06:36from Faridhapath to various other parts of the national capital.
06:40So proper planning was done.
06:42He kept stationed there in the car for at least three hours
06:46and after that at 6.40 p.m. he left from the parking area.
06:53We have also accessed the security footage in which we can clearly see as to how
06:56he's sitting there at the front seat putting masks on his face
07:00so that he cannot be identified.
07:02And after 12 minutes, we can see how the blast took place.
07:07And the blast also happened when the car was stopped there at the red light.
07:12So this showed as to how he meticulously planned that his car will stop there
07:18at the red light point.
07:19And the moment the car stopped there, we saw blast taking place.
07:22Stay with me.
07:24Before I bring in my colleague Sumit Mishra,
07:26I quickly want to cut across to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
07:28There's a very crucial meeting that will be held in just a while from now
07:32unless it's already started.
07:33And I want to bring in India Today's Jitendra Bahadur Singh
07:37for the latest on this big story.
07:39Kendri Graham Mantri Amit Shah,
07:41just as he was in the hospital,
07:43he was sitting on the blast site.
07:45And after that, the door of the soldiers is running.
07:48Jitendra, what is the situation today?
07:51How is it so important?
07:52Who is it?
07:53And what is it going to be left?
07:58Jitendra Bahadur Singh.
08:15Thank you for your attention.
08:45This is the place where we can go and see the location of the NBDC team and the National Bum Data Center.
09:15Thank you for joining us.
09:45Thank you for joining us.
10:15Just being joined by Sumit Chaudhary, who is at the blast spot.
10:18Sumit, the information that is coming in and especially about the fact that 2,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate was recovered.
10:28Was the blast also an ANFO, ammonium nitrate fuel oil explosion?
10:35According to preliminary information, what are your sources telling you?
10:39Well, Gaurav, we have been claiming that Umar will be the mastermind.
10:45But in my point of view, Umar is not the mastermind.
10:48Mastermind will be that person who have arranged all these explosives, especially and not only arranged, but also give the recruitment as an assignment to all these doctors.
10:58So the mastermind is still not traced.
11:01But one more important point, because the agencies have been investigating that how they have been using all these ammunitions, especially from the different location, because the amount is huge.
11:11The amount is huge.
11:12The transportation may be from the different location.
11:14So all these points need to be investigated.
11:17And second most important point, why the doctors have been recruited for this?
11:23Because earlier, we all know that maximum time, these kind of recruitment have been done only for the radicalization or for the recruitment basis.
11:32But now they have been recruited for the implementation, for the direct attack.
11:37That means something is there, a larger conspiracy is there.
11:40That's why the investigation agencies is now involving the central agencies, so that too they can track the module of all these conspiracies.
11:49Back to you, Gaurav.
11:50Oh, absolutely.
11:52This is a much wider plot.
11:53Remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
11:562,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate has been recovered.
12:00But did a lot of it already, was it spread out?
12:04Are there other sleeper cells?
12:05Are there other modules?
12:06Before I bring in Jitendra Bahadur Singh, I want you to take a look at what has been described as the Faridabad module of Jaishem Mohamad.
12:15It's a suspected Jaishem Mohamad terror plot, is what sources are telling India today.
12:19Let me tell you about these doctors of doom.
12:23Highly educated medical doctors.
12:27And they've become their suspected terrorists.
12:29Let me tell you a little more about this Pulwama link.
12:32We first talk about Dr. Mohamad Umar.
12:36Dr. Mohamad Umar was the driver of the I-20.
12:40He drove this vehicle from Faridabad.
12:42And he's been seen on multiple CCTV cameras.
12:44Driving very carefully.
12:45Driving very carefully.
12:46He ensured all the chalans were paid.
12:49Or whoever was the mastermind ensured all the chalans were paid.
12:52This vehicle was in speed limit.
12:55Did follow all the laws and the rules of the road.
12:58So that they wouldn't be stopped by the police for any checking.
13:01He drove along Outer Ring Road.
13:04Came near Jama Masjid area.
13:06The Red Fort area.
13:08Parked near the Sunehri Masjid.
13:10And for three hours.
13:12From 19 minutes past three.
13:15To 48 minutes past six.
13:17The vehicle was parked at the Sunehri Masjid parking lot.
13:22And the driver was inside.
13:24Was he putting those bombs together?
13:27Who were others with him?
13:28Now there are a lot of CCTV cameras.
13:30Over 100 CCTV cameras.
13:32That are being very closely examined.
13:34Eyewitnesses are being spoken to.
13:35It's a painstaking job.
13:37But that's Dr. Muhammad Umar.
13:40Let me come to the second doctor of doom.
13:43Dr. Muzammil.
13:45The man you see on your television screen.
13:46Dr. Muzammil.
13:47Was seen as not just a conduit for the explosives.
13:52But also one of the recruiters.
13:54The indoctrinators.
13:55So Dr. Muzammil would reach out to other doctors in the area.
14:00And others at the Al-Fala Hospital.
14:03And indoctrinate them.
14:04And then store amounts of explosives at different locations.
14:08So it was on the basis of his interrogation.
14:11That the larger recovery was made.
14:14Let me now tell you about the third face.
14:17Dr. Shaheen Shahid.
14:19Now she is the lady doctor.
14:22An AK-47 assault rifle was recovered from her car.
14:27She was apparently originally in Lucknow.
14:30Had travelled.
14:31Was reaching Faridabad.
14:32Was taken into custody.
14:34But she apparently has a lot more information.
14:36From what sources tell India today.
14:38And knows more about either the masterminds.
14:42Or others who were involved in this module.
14:44That's why she has been flown to Srinagar.
14:47Because on the basis of her interrogation.
14:49It would appear there could be more arrests that would take place.
14:52Even as you and I talk right now.
14:54There are raids that have been carried out in different parts of the country.
14:57And especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
14:58Now let me tell you a little more about the owner of this I-20 car.
15:04That owner of this I-20 car with explosives.
15:07He has been taken into custody and is being questioned.
15:10Dr. Nadeem is what we are being told.
15:13Then there is a Dr. Adil Rathar.
15:16Dr. Adil Rathar, the man you see on your television screen.
15:21An AK-47 was recovered.
15:23Now when his locker was opened.
15:26They found a stethoscope.
15:28They found medicines.
15:30Next to those medicines were cartridges of assault rifle.
15:34And behind his lab coat was an AK-47 assault rifle.
15:41Why would a doctor who has taken an oath to save lives have these weapons of death in his locker?
15:49He is now being questioned by the police.
15:52Now this is just a tip of the iceberg.
15:55I have some more information that's coming in through sources.
15:58We will wait for official confirmation to come in.
16:00In terms of certain arrests that have taken place this morning.
16:05There are some people who have been taken into custody.
16:07Who live close to the houses of these elements.
16:11In Pulwama, in Shopia, in Kulgam.
16:14In the southern Kashmir belt.
16:18They have been taken into custody.
16:20More details coming in.
16:22Both brothers and the mother of Dr. Umar have now been taken in for questioning.
16:25Okay this information has now officially come in.
16:28What sources were telling India today has now officially come in.
16:32Both brothers and Dr. Umar's mother have now been called in for questioning.
16:38How much did they know India today unmasks the doctors of doom.
16:45Dr. Muhammad Umar.
16:46Apparently, he was killed in the blast.
16:51One of the unidentified bodies.
16:53The DNA sample has been collected.
16:56The DNA sample will be matched with the samples of the family.
17:00To know whether he was the person inside the car at the time of the explosion.
17:06Is he the mastermind or is he just one spoke in that wider network of terror.
17:16The image that you see on your television screen.
17:18So Dr. Umar, Dr. Muhammad Umar was driving this I-20 during the blast.
17:23He donned a black mask.
17:26In pollution, you and I would be wearing a mask.
17:28So, the police didn't think it was anything suspicious.
17:30But then he had a mask as he drove.
17:33He was employed as a doctor at the Al-Falah Medical College.
17:37This Al-Falah Medical College is also a place of interest as far as investigators are concerned.
17:44Because two doctors of Al-Falah Medical College have been arrested and taken into custody or detained for questioning.
17:52And there are others who will be questioned is what sources are telling India today to know more about this wider network.
18:00I once again want to bring in Jitendra Bahadur Singh and Sumit into this conversation.
18:08Sumit, when you join the dots, most of these doctors are from Kashmir, from South Kashmir.
18:14They worked in different hospitals but were in touch.
18:18And the recovery of the mobile phones in one instance will perhaps have a goldmine of information about the wider network.
18:30Well, definitely.
18:31Because, Gaurav, not only the mobile phone but also all these doctors have been working all across the country.
18:36Might be they have been working in the Haryana.
18:38They might be working in UP.
18:39They might be working in different part of country.
18:41But what is more important is that they all belong to South Kashmir.
18:44And that is why the module has been busted.
18:47Because when the agencies track one doctor who have been seriously and directly involved in the radicalization process,
18:54the agencies now find out that not only one doctor but it's a module where multiple doctors have been involved.
18:59Then they have reached to the Saharanpur.
19:01Then one team reached to the Faridabad.
19:03And after that they come to know that it will be a major and major conspiracy.
19:07That's why the other doctor, Dr. Omar, who is basically desperately do this attack because he doesn't understand that now the agencies will be tracking him very soon.
19:20So everything is basically planned.
19:22But it is a well-versed and very well-conducted investigation by the Jammu Kashmir police and the central agencies that they have been able to track all these doctors.
19:32But most importantly, still the dots are incomplete because still some of the doctors or some of the youth have been missing who might be used as an OGWs or they might be used as an executors.
19:46So still the agencies have been tracking all those other players in this conspiracy.
19:51Back to you, Gaurav.
19:53I want to know more if we do as of now about Dr. Shaheen Shahid.
20:00What was her role?
20:01We do know, at least that's what sources are telling India today, that in AK-47 slash AK-56, assault rifle and some cartridges were recovered from her vehicle or on her instance.
20:14What more do we know about her role?
20:17And apparently she's been flown to Srinagar.
20:19Do we have more details?
20:20Why?
20:24Well, Gaurav, it is only as per the investigation agency that's come to know that she's very close to Dr. Mahjumal.
20:31But still, her role and how did she involve in all these consequences is still part of the investigation.
20:36But one more important thing, not only the male doctors, but female doctors is also involved.
20:42So this is not only a limited radicalization process.
20:47It might be a very larger conspiracy.
20:49That's why the dots have still incompleted.
20:51And more important thing, it might be only limited to the Haryana, but it will be definitely, will we take the investigation to the other part of the country as well.
21:00Because I want our viewers to know about another doctor who's been taken into custody.
21:06Of course, his interrogation and his arrest is at the instance of the Gujarat police.
21:11And his name is Dr. Ahmad Mohinuddin Syed.
21:16Dr. Ahmad Mohinuddin Syed, MBBS, was trying to make ricin from castor oil beans.
21:24Had collected raw material, chemicals, chemicals, lab tools to make this toxin ricin.
21:30It's a very dangerous toxin.
21:32It's highly lethal.
21:35There is no known antidote if this chemical is used.
21:40So now, is this a part of a wider plot for multiple terror attacks through multiple means across India?
21:47Imagine the kind of conspiracy India's enemies are hatching in different parts of the country, Sumit.
21:53It would indicate that you have some doctors who are using ammonium nitrate.
21:58Again, material that's so easily available locally.
22:02We had a series of ANFO, ammonium nitrate fuel oil linked terror attacks in our countries more than a decade ago.
22:09In fact, this Pakistani terrorist organization, Jaisa Mohamad, it specializes in car bombs.
22:16Car bombs, you know, VBIEDs, vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
22:21We remember Pulwama 2019.
22:23That time, a vehicle with these explosives rammed into the CRPF bus killing 40 personnel.
22:30It's a similar modus operandi using a VBIED, but not to ram into a vehicle, but kill innocent people.
22:39Sumit.
22:43Well, Gaurav, two things are new in this module.
22:47First, the implementers or the direct attackers or the wolf attackers is different because that time we have seen that the wolf attacker is basically a youth, a radicalized youth who is not educated, who is not employed.
23:00And he was directly used by the terrorist organization to conduct that attack.
23:04But in this, the executors are very well educated.
23:08They are renowned.
23:09They are doctors.
23:10And second most important thing is the use of new weaponry or new explosive.
23:16We all know that the ammonium nitrate is not only used for the explosive.
23:21It might be used with a different kind of explosive like TNT.
23:24It might be used with the fuel oil.
23:27It might be used with the RDX.
23:28So, multiple mixtures of the explosive will be used with the ammonium nitrate so that the explosion will be on a larger scale.
23:34So, two new things have been found out in this module, but still, more points need to be identified.
23:41That's why the investigation agencies have been taking such a long time.
23:44They are also investigating what kind of the explosive they have used, what kind of the OGW networks they have been assigned.
23:52So, all these points are still part of the investigation.
23:54But most important thing is, there's still few of the main players are missing.
24:00That's why the investigation agencies are conducting multiple raids, not only in Delhi, but also in the NCR and other parts of the country as well.
24:08Back to you, Gaurav.
24:09So, as this probe in the Delhi blast case intensifies, India today has accessed more details that hint at this Faridabad terror module.
24:17Dr. Muhammad Umar, part of this Faridabad terror module, according to police sources, panicked and triggered the blasted Red Fort.
24:27The other doctors who've been arrested, they were interrogated through the night to know who are the others.
24:34Based on their interrogation, multiple raids are being carried out.
24:37So, Dr. Umar, we are told, hails from South Kashmir.
24:40He hails from Pulwama.
24:41He was driving the car as it exploded.
24:45DNA samples have been collected.
24:46Dr. Umar carried out the attack after Dr. Muzammil Shaqeel and Dr. Adil Rathar were arrested.
24:53And 2,900 kilograms of suspected ammonium nitrate was seized in Haryana's Faridabad over the past several days.
25:01So, these are raids that have been on for about a week now.
25:04Police and intelligence agencies believe that a large quantity of ammonium nitrate was also used in the Red Fort terror attack.
25:11Of course, we are waiting for the official confirmation to come in.
25:14And I have this report sent by a colleague from the Red Fort area.
25:18So, we are waiting for our department to come here.
25:58Every police police will see the CCTV to see the CC TV, so they will be able to see one of the parts.
26:07So they will be able to see one of the traces, because the traces of the traces will be used,
26:15they will be clear, and then they will be able to see the traces of the traces.
26:21because you can see that the two of us rented accommodations have been taken in front of an under
26:28one area where there was a 360 kg of ammonium nitrate and another thing that was brought to you
26:36assault rifle and whatever it was brought to you
26:37and then there was a 4 kg of water that was brought to you
26:43where it was rented accommodation
26:45where there was 26 kg of ammonium nitrate which was brought to you
26:51is this a part of a much wider network that's the information that the delhi police are now trying
26:59to get more details from the interrogation of the three doctors who are currently in their custody
27:06how did these doctors get radicalized remember we were always told that once you're highly educated
27:12you would perhaps join the mainstream it's not as if some pakistani terrorist some illiterate ajmalamir
27:19kasab is killing innocent people these are highly educated mbbs doctors who stand accused of plotting
27:25the murder of hundreds of innocent people across the length and breadth of our country
27:29and these aren't the only ones there's another doctor who's been arrested
27:32uh on the at the instance of the gujarat police ats more information also on that story in just a moment
27:38my colleague piyush mishra with this report
27:40when the blast happened yesterday at 6 52 pm the i-20 car was parked right at red fort parking for at least three hours
27:52what we are now learning is that the car entered here at this parking lot area at around 3 18 pm
27:58and was here parked for at least three hours and first let me try to show you the visuals of this entry point
28:05this is the red fort entry point which has now been completely barricaded senior police officials are now
28:10on the spot and the investigations are now underway this is the backyard area of red fort and
28:16from here itself the car entered in the parking area and my video journalist can show you the board also
28:23which is uh you know which has been installed here which reads red fort parking where car and buses are parked
28:30and this is the same parking area where i-20 was parked for at least three hours it entered in parking lot
28:36at around 3 18 pm and was here till 6 40 pm and at around 6 40 pm the car owner took out the car from parking area
28:45and then the car was driven around the red fort area and then it reached there at the red fort red light
28:52which is right in front of entry gate of a chani chalk and then when the car was seen stopped there at
28:59the red light of the red fort there at 6 52 pm the blast took place but the point here is that how
29:09explosives were you know taken inside delhi all these things are now being investigated by the senior
29:15police officials the route is also being mapped that the car which entered from madrapur
29:21and you know went to the outer ring road and then inner ring road and then after that it reached here
29:26at the ito area and then from ito it reached in the parking area of red fort so all angles are now
29:33being investigated by the senior delhi police officials with video journalist ranking i'm piyush
29:38mishwa in delhi for another day forensics are very crucial and i quickly want to take you to blast site
29:45where we get to these live images that is the forensics team that has arrived which is collecting fresh
29:53samples the initial samples were collected last night but this morning from first light it was
30:00okay is that a helmet uh you know we're waiting for more information to filter in samples are being
30:07collected these samples will then be taken uh to the laboratory to the lab for detailed investigation to
30:14the extent to which uh you know the shrapnel or uh or the impact of the blast was felt that will also
30:22tell you the intensity will also tell you about one the nature of explosives the kind of explosives the
30:29amount of explosives the kind of timer device if at all uh that was used every bit of information
30:35uh is painstakingly put together i want to bring in piyush mishra uh once again into this conversation
30:41piyush the national bomb data center has a lot of information in its bank about past blasts and this
30:51information will be crucial to link up to know more about the bomb maker
30:55okay give me a moment as i establish that link uh with piyush uh milan sharma also with me on this
31:10story milan what more can you tell us about one investigations two the forensics team that's on
31:15ground zero right now well gaurav a lot has been done already but the forensics teams is also uh you
31:27know on the spot and working around the clock to a certain a lot of information as you mentioned
31:31there's a lot of uh data that has been collected by the teams uh throughout the night related to the
31:38explosion the intensity of the blast uh what uh the uh bum actually contained what how much explosive
31:46was used uh of course and there has been a known link now to the faridabad the terror module after
31:53the 2300 kg worth of explosives was found uh how the ammonia nitrate fuel based oil was used in the
32:00explosion uh whether it was a time bomb whether it was placed in the car at what position uh whether
32:06the timing of the blast was pre-planned or not and of course because we've been asking these questions
32:12the the blast and the intensity of which did not create a crater in the ground so what kind of blast
32:18was that was it intended to be so and you have been talking about doctors of doom certainly these are
32:24highly trained individuals sophisticated enough to understand uh nuances of how these operations can be
32:32executed very uh so to say clean in a clean manner and hence all these are details of the investigation
32:40that all the agencies right now are working on uh whether it's the nia or the nsg or the uh you know
32:46our data collected by a lot of forensics there we are at the lnjp mortuary and remember our dr umar
32:53is dead and uh you know the there is forensics happening uh for him as well so there are a lot of
33:00things that are being pieced together still it'll be very premature for me to say anything more at
33:05the moment but yes forensics uh very important part of this entire investigations will take some time
33:11meanwhile there are people who have still not been identified at the blast site who have died
33:15uh parts of their body uh have were dismembered uh and were strewn across the road so those uh are the
33:22people that are also being investigated for dna tests are being done and uh what a further course of
33:28action is being taken by the police authorities there okay now there's information that is some
33:36coming in now we are also being told uh the dcp of the delhi police uh who's just visited the blast site
33:42uh he's told the he's told journalists about initial investigations but he says let forensics complete
33:49that task only then will more details be shared with the media listen in
33:53investigation has been taken up and there are many specialized teams of delhi police
34:04fsl nsg also here on the scene of crime and they are lifting evidences possible to help in the
34:11investigation and a fire has been registered under uvpa explosives act and bharatia nyaya
34:15investigation has been taken up and there are many specialized teams of delhi police
34:20fsl nsg also here on the scene of crime and they are lifting evidences possible to help in the
34:27investigation
34:28piyush misha joins us for more on this piyush tell us more about the link with the raids that are going
34:37on in kashmir that lady doctor was taken to kashmir she has given some information some people have
34:43been taken into custody some people have been questioned what more do we know how widespread
34:48is this uh is this so-called faridabad module or the kashmir module
34:53well gaurav since yesterday when the blast took place multiple raids are being carried out in
35:02various parts of faridabad also in delhi and also in jammu and kashmir and all links are being
35:07investigated and you know the officials are trying to explore and trying to understand as to how many
35:14people are involved in this what we are told is that so far uh eight to nine people have been
35:18detained and the further investigation is underway but let us also tell to our viewers that the blast
35:23which took place yesterday it had so much so impact that it affected various religious places also those
35:29were nearby the red fort area right now i'm present in gauri shankar temple which is right in front of
35:35red fort which is barely 200 meters away from the blast spot and here you can see i would ask me
35:41to show you the visual as to how the windows got shattered and we can clearly see how the glass
35:48pieces are still lying there nearby the window which got shattered because of the impact of a blast which
35:54took place yesterday at around 6 52 p.m so you can see and understand the kind of impact it had created
36:04and it was so much so impact that it not only affected the windows but also the shishganj gurdwara
36:10which is also not very far from red fort area right now i'm also joined with a priest who was present
36:15in the temple when the blast had taken place and you know a lot of impact a lot of huge sound was heard
36:25there inside the premises of this pandi ji a puswak tander thay maujud thay maujud thay aap maujud thay
36:30i'm a
36:57foreign
37:11foreign
37:27So you can clearly hear the voices of eyewitness Gaurav. Those are now telling us as to how it created a lot of effect and so much so impact it had that the windows got shuttered and still we are showing as to how this window was affected.
37:56The glass pieces are still lying here. Apart from that we also saw some parts of car. Those also became victim of that blast. Parts of car are still lying there on the roads and forensic team and various of the officials who are present there at this spot are collecting each and every evidence to ensure that the investigation proceeds in a better manner.
38:18Piyush, many thanks for the moment. There is a big story coming in India today. It gets you the first image of the moment when the blast took place. That exact moment when the blast took place and how people on ground reacted. Take a look at these images.

39:16Chandni Chowk lane, apparently some kind of a YouTube or some local interview was happening.
39:27Look at the hustle and bustle around Chandni Chowk or the road that leads to Chandni Chowk.
39:34This place has the Gauri Shankar temple, the Jain temple, Gurdwara Shishganj is here in this area.
39:44Not very far from here is also the Suneheri Masjid.
39:47On the other side is the Jama Masjid and on one side is the Red Fort.
39:52Now, huge symbolic significance, religious significance, economic significance.
39:59It's the main Chandni Chowk market.
40:01In this area, there's the Bhagirath place market where you have electrical goods.
40:06It's the biggest market for electrical goods.
40:08So, in this area, Dr. Mohamed Umar, once three other doctors were arrested, apparently put explosives in the car.
40:21This is what police are, as of now, conjecturing.
40:24Because they can see that vehicle move out of Faridabad, crosses the Badarpur border, comes into Delhi,
40:30takes the ring road, the outer ring road, drives towards Red Fort, follows all rules of the road
40:36because does not perhaps want to be stopped by the police and checked.
40:40There are explosives in the vehicle.
40:42Comes around the Suneheri Masjid area near Chandni Chowk.
40:47And this is exactly at 19 minutes past 3 o'clock.
40:51The vehicle enters the parking lot, stays there.
40:54And then, three hours later, there's this massive blast.
40:59India Today now unmasks the Doctor of Terror.
41:04Let me tell you a little more about Dr. Mohamed Umar.
41:11India Today has the first authentic image of the Doctor of Doom.
41:17Dr. Mohamed Umar drove that I-20 car at the time of the blast.
41:24And he was wearing a black mask.
41:26He's been caught on multiple CCTV cameras.
41:29But look at the amount of pollution in Delhi.
41:32You know, anybody wearing a mask, it wouldn't be anything suspicious.
41:36So he was wearing this black mask, perhaps to hide his identity.
41:41Information that Delhi police sources have shared with India Today
41:44revealed that Dr. Mohamed Umar was employed at the Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad.
41:53He was a doctor there.
41:55He wasn't the only medical doctor from the Al-Falah Medical College to be arrested.
42:01Dr. Mohamed Umar is the first.
42:04Dr. Adil Rathar.
42:06Dr. Shaheen Shahid.
42:08And Dr. Muzammil Ganai.
42:09These are the four doctors, three arrested, one believed to be dead.
42:16His DNA sample has been taken or a DNA sample has been taken.
42:21Now a DNA sample of his mother and also his brothers, it seems, are being collected even
42:29as we speak in Kashmir.
42:31An attempt will be made to match the DNA samples to know for sure.
42:36Once that is concluded, there is more information that Delhi police will shortly share,
42:45is what sources are telling India Today, about arrests that are being made in Jammu and Kashmir.
42:51There are multiple detentions even as we speak.
42:54So the three images on your television screen, I-20 car that's parked at the Sunehri Masjid parking lot.
43:05The blast site and of course, Dr. Mohamed Umar's image on your television screen.
43:15Sumit, you're constantly in touch with your sources.
43:19Can you tell us more about the Kashmir link and apparently some arrests and detentions
43:23that have taken place in Kashmir since this morning?
43:26Well, Gaurab, many detentions have been happening but still the official confirmation doesn't
43:36come to us.
43:37But yes, the agencies have been not only working out in Kashmir but also to the Delhi NCR area,
43:42especially to the other parts of the country because the link is not limited to Kashmir
43:46or Delhi or Faridabad because there have been multiple locations where the agencies have been
43:52tracking all those handlers, all those OGWs, all those, especially the youth of Kashmir
43:58who have been radicalized in the last few years and has been using by these terrorist organizations.
44:04So the multiple investigation agencies have been handling.
44:07If you remember, yesterday also we have seen that the UPATS were at the same spot.
44:12The Haryana special staff is also there.
44:15The Delhi police special staff, crime branch, everyone is coordinating with each other just
44:20to find out what exactly the module is and that is why the massive search operations
44:26has been happening not only in Kashmir but also into Delhi NCR area and many other parts
44:30of the countries.
44:31Back to you, Gaurab.
44:32Okay, I want to cut across to India.
44:33Today's Mosmee Singh joining us with the latest on investigations from the Red Fort area.
44:39Mosmee, forensic examination currently underway.
44:42What more can you tell us about the wider module and the terror network?
44:46What more do we know about these doctors of doom from Kashmir?
44:50Gaurab, you know, in the morning we've seen how, you know, life has come back to normal
45:02as we entered Chandni Chowk.
45:04We saw shops opened.
45:06Of course, this area has been cordoned off completely and investigations are underway.
45:11Whether it's from the New Delhi Railway Station, the road that's coming up this side, you see
45:18that there is a complete cordon.
45:20And at 11 a.m. the Home Minister is taking a high-level security meeting where further
45:28updates, of course, by the agencies that have come into play will in fact pan out and unfold.
45:36But what we see right now is a high-security cordon right here at the crossroads at Subhash Chowk.
45:45And the entire stretch, of course, the shops are closed.
45:49Now, importantly, you know, the entire module is being investigated.
45:53We've seen how the Home Minister said that all angles are being interrogated and investigated
45:59and links from the Haryana module are, you know, the information is unfolding.
46:07And we've seen yesterday how all the agencies had pressed into action.
46:12Right now, I can tell you that the fire brigade to various cordons are there.
46:19There are three levels of barricading as we entered here.
46:23Of course, this remains the scene where still forensic evidences are being examined.
46:29And we'll have to wait for more information on the terror angle and where all from Kashmir
46:37to Haryana and apparently there are links with Uttar Pradesh also.
46:42There are various arrests that have been made in the past three, four weeks.
46:47And the agencies are suspecting that this is part of a bigger, you know, action plan,
46:52you know, of the terrorists who were trying to give a big terror attack, unfold a big terror attack.
47:00But because of the entire inputs that are coming in, we are told that the arrests that were made,
47:08that they could not, in fact, give that outcome.
47:12And we will have to wait and see what happens in the entire interrogation,
47:17even as the agencies are keeping a very, very strict vision.
47:20Indeed, India today has the biggest team of reporters on ground,
47:25giving you a 360-degree perspective on this very, very troublesome development that's taking place.
47:31So, we have Mausmi Singh at Red Fort,
47:33Jitendra Bahadur Singh at the Ministry of Home Affairs,
47:35P. Ush Mishra again at the blast site,
47:37as is Sumit Chaudhary.
47:38And I want to quickly bring in Jitendra Bahadur Singh
47:41with the latest Jitendra Graham Mantrali,
47:44which is sitting in Kashmir,
47:46is also attached to Kashmir.
47:50Okay, I think we've just lost that link with Jitendra Bahadur Singh.
47:54We'll just establish that in a moment.
47:57But Sumit, bring us the link and also the investigation
48:02that I'm told that Gujarat police is also simultaneously carrying out
48:07the arrest of Dr. Ahmed Moinuddin Syed,
48:11an MBBS doctor who was arrested yesterday,
48:14who was trying to make ricin from castor beans.
48:17Now, this would indicate, Sumit, it's a much wider plot.
48:22There are multiple, whether these are lone wolves linked up,
48:26all of that is a matter of investigation.
48:28But these doctors of doom,
48:30whether from Kashmir, Faridabad, Hyderabad or Gujarat,
48:33the plan is to kill innocent Indians.
48:36Exactly, Gaurav, because this is what we have been asking
48:44the intelligence agencies,
48:45why you have been looking for these Kashmiri youth.
48:48So, they have clearly mentioned many times to us
48:50that they have been radicalized.
48:52Many Kashmiri youth have been radicalized.
48:54That's why they have been not only looking after
48:56in Faridabad, Saharanpur or other parts,
48:58but also in Gujarat.
48:59That's why the multiple agencies,
49:01especially the local police intelligence units,
49:04have been involved in these inputs
49:06so that they can also give their input
49:09regarding these radicalized youth
49:11who have been reached to their respective states.
49:13So, multiple agencies have been working
49:15and that's why the Home Ministry is also
49:17conducting a high-level meeting.
49:18Very soon, at that particular time,
49:21the state governments or the state policing
49:22will give their input regarding what exactly
49:25they have found in their states.
49:26We have latest inputs coming in from Kashmir.
49:29The arrests and detentions that are taking place
49:31in Kashmir.
49:31Meer Farid with this report.
49:33...
49:38Thank you very much.
50:08Thank you very much.
50:38Thank you very much.
51:08Thank you very much.
