The Acura RSX concept was one of the major reveals at Monterey Car Week, showcasing the brand's bold vision for its electric future. As Creative Director Yasutake Tsuchida explains, the RSX name was chosen because the "X" signifies a sporty vehicle, cementing its performance pedigree. The design is modern, electrified simplicity, and because it's an EV it doesn't require a conventional grille. The RSX achieves a sophisticated and muscular feeling through a sleek, coupe-like silhouette designed to express superior aerodynamics. Other key visual features include a unique front lighting signature known as the "check mark" and super-wide taillights.

Acura is committed to pursuing a vision that combines a sporty, performance-driven brand identity with both "timeless beauty" and a new "high-tech feeling". The concept serves as the ultimate statement of what Acura Design will become, proving that simplicity is the new signature for performance EVs.

00:23X is for like a sports car or like a sporty vehicle. So that's why we picked the RSX.
00:31In the front, you see really unique lighting signature. We call it a check mark.
00:38Party side is more sophisticated and muscular feeling. We want to make a performance and
00:44sporty vehicle. That's why you see the coupe-like silhouette to express more aerodynamics.
00:52We have super wide tail light together with Acura logo on it.
00:58This is the EV vehicle. That's the reason why we are making a super simple.
01:04For EV vehicle, you don't need to put a conventional gorilla.
01:09So that's why this time we put a simple body color gorilla.
01:16Acura is a performance brand and a sporty brand.
01:20That's one of the key points we are pursuing for the future.
01:26Together with timeless beauty and the new high-tech feelers,
