00:18You just look so gorgeous.
00:20Look at you. I can do this.
00:22You look amazing. I'm so proud of you.
00:24Mouth-watering recipes.
00:26American-style down-and-out burgers.
00:29My signature honey chicken.
00:31My wok-style fish and chips.
00:33Unforgettable gifts.
00:35Oh, in your eye!
00:37Hey, Chrissie, this doesn't feel healthy, wealthy or was.
00:39Ha-ha! Hey!
00:41Hey, look relaxed, you're on national television show.
00:44And your chance to win the trip of a lifetime.
00:48And it's my mission to find as many ways to relax as possible.
00:51And I take my job very seriously.
00:53You never know what you're going to get.
00:56Oh, oh, oh!
00:58But what you get, you'll never forget.
01:00Oh, my God!
01:02I'm in love for the moment.
01:04And I can't hold it.
01:06Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
01:10If you go, go back, go back to this moment.
01:14Yay!
01:16Hello and welcome back to Healthy, Wellbeing and Wise.
01:20This is the show where we find the smart, fun and practical ways
01:25just to live better, feel brighter and have more time
01:29for super important stuff like ignoring emails.
01:34That is the current situation for me.
01:39So the panic is real.
01:41And here, keeping me updated on all the super pertinent facts
01:45has it going, beautiful Ash Wicks.
01:47Hey!
01:49And joining us in the studio is our DIY dynamo plumber,
01:54tiny house builder, baby grower and Swiss army knife
01:57brought to life the inimitable Amy Stanton.
02:02Hello, gorgeous.
02:02Hey!
02:05Please.
02:06Oh, look.
02:09Tales.
02:09Oh, thank you.
02:10I've had two kids, so I know what I'm doing.
02:12If you finish that, I'll bring you a sweet treat.
02:14Awesome.
02:14I'm out of here.
02:15She's here for a chat, not an epidural.
02:17I'll take one.
02:18You want to like an epidural?
02:19Yeah.
02:20Straight after this.
02:21Now, Amy, you have shown us time and time again,
02:25it's not about massive overhauls.
02:28It's about making the spaces we're in work better
02:32for the people that are in them.
02:34Yeah, and this week, really walking into the space,
02:38I was thinking, OK, what am I going to do here?
02:40And I realised it was tiny.
02:42The space was tiny and that's very hard.
02:44So far, you've been breezing through these transformations.
02:48This one sounds like it might be a little bit more of a challenge for you.
02:51I'm so curious to see how you've come up trumps again.
02:57Let's have a look.
02:57Wayne, Hayley and son Levi love living on their 100-acre farm in country Victoria.
03:06While their surroundings are tranquil, their lives are quite the opposite.
03:10I work as an admin assistant for a towing company.
03:14I'm a concreter.
03:15I start early in the morning, usually finish mid-afternoon.
03:19We love to get home and relax.
03:21Well, try to.
03:22Try to.
03:23We've got border collie dogs, chooks, cows, sheep.
03:28So, keep busy.
03:29Yeah, not much relax time.
03:30And our lounge room really needs new carpets, new couch, maybe a bit of storage as well,
03:38because we use it for our son's toys.
03:40New blinds.
03:42New everything.
03:42New everything.
03:46OK.
03:47I've got some work to do in here.
03:51Oh, golly.
03:51Firstly, the size.
03:54It's tiny in here.
03:56Carpets.
03:57Oh, God.
03:58I reckon Flooring Extra can hook us up with some fresh new wool carpet.
04:04There was a big couch here that took up half the room, blocking this door.
04:09And Hayley and Wayne said they want to go out this door.
04:13So, we've got to figure that out where there's still enough seating, enough room to play, enough
04:19storage, and then looking at this paint job, we're going to need a lot of prep work.
04:27Yay!
04:28It's a bit of rot.
04:29Just what we want for a quick reno.
04:31Can't even do your best in silicon the rest with that one.
04:34That's a bit...
04:35Definitely got our work cut out for us, but love a challenge.
04:40Let's get started.
04:42Before we can begin the painting, there's a ton of prep work to do to ensure a smooth and
04:47even finish.
04:48The window frames are very worn out, so we're using a strong wood filler that will give
04:53them a whole new lease on life.
04:55So, I want to paint it kind of a very soft, greenish sage colour, and I've got myself
05:02four paint samples.
05:03And the trick is, don't paint it on the walls in there, because it leaves patches after you
05:08paint it, and then you don't get the true effect of what it looks like in the different
05:11lights.
05:12I'm putting the paint samples on some cards, going to bring them in.
05:15The point is, testing them on different walls, because they look completely different next
05:19to a window than they do over there on the ceiling.
05:21It's all about figuring out what it looks like in different spaces at different times of
05:26the day.
05:27I've got myself eucalyptus green, bringing a bit of nature back inside.
05:32I love it.
05:33We're colour drenching the whole room.
05:35What is colour drenching?
05:37It's literally when you paint everything, the skirting, the arcs, the ceiling, the same
05:41colour.
05:42It makes the space look bigger, and this room definitely needed that.
05:46The only thing we haven't gone green is this fireplace brick wall.
05:50We're doing it in a warm white.
05:51It's going to bring contrast from everywhere, and it's going to match the couch as well.
05:57While the painters continue, it's time I nut out a new and better layout.
06:01We've got this huge couch, a door they want to get out, so we're going to cut that massive
06:08couch out.
06:09I think if we put a three-seater, big, comfortable couch at the back wall, I'd love to do recliners
06:18here, but they need to get out.
06:20I loved those swivel chairs at OzDesign.
06:23Chair, chair, then you can face the fireplace, face the TV, face the couch.
06:36Yes.
06:37And then that will be the TV unit.
06:40Ottomans, storage, they can come in the kitchen, and bam, out that other door.
06:48Easy.
06:49This is exciting.
06:51But what do the animals think?
06:53I'm here to reno your lounge room.
06:56Oh, nice.
06:58Old mate Moo over there.
07:01Oh, I loved watching your brain tick over there.
07:08When you walk into a place like that that's clearly small and desperately in need of some
07:14help, where do you start?
07:17Chat GPT.
07:18No, I walk in and I stare at the space for a good 20 minutes, like what am I going to
07:25do here?
07:26But then the first thing I think of is the family and who I'm creating it for.
07:29Functionality first and then think of the styling after.
07:32I can't wait to see how this all turns out, and we know you do too.
07:35The full reveal is coming up later in the episode, so stick around.
07:40After the break, Chica's back with a wardrobe makeover that's guaranteed to inspire joy and
07:45jealousy.
07:46Oh my god!
07:47Good kind.
07:48Good kind.
07:49Good kind.
07:50See you soon.
07:53This segment is brought to you by Prime 100.
07:59Vet-recommended single protein diets.
08:02Welcome back to Healthy Wealthy and Wise.
08:06Our next makeover is for a mum who has spent years surrounded by testosterone, footy boots
08:13and BMX bikes.
08:15now. It is finally her turn to put herself first after a pretty rough trot and rediscover
08:22a little feminine spark. Let's join Chica as the journey begins.
08:39Hi Teagan, how are you? Good, thank you. It is so lovely to meet you. I've been so looking
08:45forward to coming today. Thank you for coming, I need your help. I can't wait to see, let's
08:48have a look in your wardrobe. Come through. Hi, my name's Teagan, I'm 38 years old, I'm
08:53married and a mum of four boys. I wanted to get a style makeover because I'm feeling a
08:58little bit lost at the moment with the kids, not sure what to wear on a day-to-day basis.
09:03My style is the mum's style, exercise gear, black tights, jumpers, runners and dry shampoo
09:10probably. So I am a big sports mum. They race BMX. I was secretary of the local club for
09:19five years. They love it. I love giving them that support. I definitely want to make more
09:25time for myself, not much girly time in the household. As a mum, four boys, I literally
09:30have 10 minutes per day, jump out of bed, put some clothes on, maybe whack on a little bit
09:35of makeup. So I definitely want to take back my identity. Definitely want to bring back the old
09:40Teagan. Let's have a look in here. Welcome. God, it's a big room. Very big. How exciting. Okay, well
09:46what I'm seeing here is a lot of comfortable clothing. If you were to go out and you were
09:49to put an outfit together, what would you actually choose from what you've got here at the moment?
09:53I've got some jeans and probably just like one of these basic tops. Okay, so you're a jeans girl,
09:58but we're going to get you into dresses. Yes. Skirts. I've got lots of dresses here that I hardly
10:03wear. Don't have the time. I think, oh, that's all too hard. Just go with the, what I know. Top
10:08like this. When was the last time you wore that? That is when I used to work in an office. Back in
10:132020, my husband got really sick. He was having seizures. It started off as, you know, one seizure
10:20every couple of months, but he deteriorated really quickly. Having multiple seizures a week. Declared
10:26unfit to work and to drive. Had his license removed from him. He ended up having brain surgery
10:32two years later to actually fix the issue. And thankfully he's been seizure free ever since
10:38that surgery. He was our main provider of the household. So therefore we had to roll reverse.
10:43I went to work full time. That time of our life was really hard. It took a toll mentally, financially.
10:50It was traumatic for all of us. I feel like from him being sick to then having children, there
10:55has just been no recovery time for myself. So I definitely want to start putting myself first,
11:02filling my own bucket up. My husband's very supportive of this. He thinks it's fabulous. The
11:06kids, I think this is so exciting. And I think we make a rule now that exercise gear is just for
11:12exercise. Yeah. So we don't wear it because it's easy to wear all day long. We have to sometimes make
11:16a bit of an effort. Come home and I'm going to put my jeans on and a nice shirt and whatever else.
11:20The only way this changes is if you change it. Yeah. I feel like we've got a good starting point
11:25here. I'm so excited that we can take you into Blue Illusion. We're going to try on a whole lot
11:29of different outfits, dresses, pants, jackets, everything. But we're going to have so much
11:33fun making you feel beautiful and gorgeous. Lovely. I can't wait. I'm so excited. I feel
11:38like a fairy godmother. Well, you cannot tell me that you didn't immediately fall in love
11:46with the magical Tegan. What a legend. Been through so much. We're going to catch up with
11:52her a little later. But first, let's talk about the other family members who need looking after.
11:59The four-legged ones, of course. Because if we want our pets to live long, happy,
12:04zoomy-filled lives, their health matters just as much as ours.
12:09Everybody loves a cuddly puppy. But you know, those few extra kilos make a massive difference
12:18to their health. One in three Aussie dogs are overweight. And the worst part is owners don't
12:23even know. While their beach bod is not that important, their health is.
12:31Do you think she's overweight? I think just a little bit. He's bang on, apparently.
12:36We are careful with her because she will eat anything. Yeah. She's got a bit
12:41broad. I think he's a little overweight. Yeah. Why do you think that? Because that's what our
12:47vet tells us. Just like us, dogs thrive when their diet matches their lifestyle. Good food in the
12:56right portions, coupled with the right amount of exercise, is the secret to a healthy and a happy
13:02dog. When you check their weight. Yep. You put your hands over their ribs. And you just run them back
13:07and forth. You want to feel a little bit of chub over the ribs, but you need to still be able to
13:13feel the ribs. Yeah. Okay. So you are perfect. All right. Just like this. Yep. I can feel his ribs.
13:19There's definitely a bit of like chub there. No, that's a microphone. What do you think?
13:25I think it looks pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. Best on beach. Great. Grief made. High five.
13:32Even a really small amount of extra weight on your dog can have a real massive health impact.
13:37At my vet hospital, I often see that spinal issues, bad legs and serious arthritis is a real problem for
13:45our overweight dogs. What do you guys feed your dogs? He eats kibble and he eats some fresh meat.
13:53We're giving fresh carrot. Carrots. Love carrots. Love carrots. Do you love biscuits?
13:59What you really have to concentrate on is portion control. Control their meal size. Are you ready,
14:06Bodie? How much to feed your dog depends on what you're actually feeding them. If we're feeding
14:12this fresh food, this is how much Bodie needs for one whole meal. When it comes to dry food,
14:20this is Bodie's whole meal. Bodie loves both of these. One is not better than the other. They're
14:26just different. If you're unsure how much to feed your dog, Prime 100 have this really great online
14:33calculator and you can input age, breed, lifestyle, and it just takes the guesswork out of how much
14:39to feed your dog. Just like us, keeping your dogs in the healthy weight range can really contribute
14:45to a longer and happier life for your pets. Keep an eye on their weight and do something about it when
14:51it starts to creep up. Don't be ashamed if your dog is carrying a few extra kilos. It can happen to
14:57the best of us. My challenge to you dog owners is do the rib test. It's really easy and if they are
15:04carrying a few extra kilos by using portion control and the right type of food, it can make a massive
15:11difference. Oh dear. Don't go anywhere. After the break, we are hitting the ways with Dr. Mike.
15:21Quick tips to keep you safe in the sun. And we sit down with our favourite crook turned comedian,
15:28turned quiz show contestant, Guyton Grantley. Let's see how tough he is while holding python or spider
15:37or whatever's in the box of death. See you soon.
15:47Healthy, Wealthy and Wise is brought to you by Specsavers.
15:52Welcome back to Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. Australians love the beach. Gosh, don't we?
16:01But the sun can be so brutal if you're not super careful. Now this might be a dark question,
16:08but Ash, how long does it take to get sunburnt under the Australian sun?
16:15Thought you'd never ask, Chrissie. Because we've got clearer skies, less ozone and much higher UV,
16:21exactly, than most places, about 11 minutes. You're at risk.
16:2611 minutes?
16:27That hat. Perfection.
16:30You can't be too careful.
16:31You can never be too careful.
16:32I'm inside and I look like this. That puts it into perspective.
16:35Let's see what Dr. Michael has to say about keeping safe under the Aussie sun.
16:45Welcome to one of Australia's iconic beaches.
16:55Now, if you haven't noticed, I'm from Scotland, where the only thing you need to worry about
16:59when you get in the water is getting eaten by the Loch Desk monster.
17:03But here in Australia, you have to worry about the sun and the surf.
17:07Now, I've never been a natural surfer and I haven't been on a board in 20 years
17:11and I wasn't even that good back then.
17:12But Aussies are a really friendly bunch, so I'm going to get out of the waves.
17:16I'm going to go and have a chat with them and see how they stay safe in the surf and the sun.
17:28So, as you can see from me flapping about in the water, we like to have fun on this programme.
17:33But being safe at the beach is really important.
17:35There was over 8,000 surf rescues last year in Australia and, unfortunately, 80 people lost their lives.
17:41So, we're going to speak to Kai, who's a surf lifesaver, and he's going to tell us all the important things to keep safe.
17:49Hey, Kai. How you doing? All right? How are you?
17:51Good, thanks.
17:52You got time for a chat?
17:53100%.
17:54Nice to meet you.
17:55So, obviously, when we come to the beach, we're here to relax and enjoy time with our family.
18:00But you've got a different purpose here.
18:02You've got to keep people safe.
18:04You must see some people doing some pretty stupid things down at the beach.
18:07So, what is your advice for staying safe in the water and out of the water?
18:11One of the main things is the red and yellow flags that the lifesavers set up at the start of the day.
18:16That is the marked safest place at the beach.
18:19The lifesavers do a risk assessment every day when they set up the flags, and they know their beach as well.
18:25In terms of staying safe outside of the red and yellow flags, just be conscious of your own abilities,
18:31how confident you are in the surf, how confident you are in the water.
18:35We always hear about reps and people getting pulled out by reps.
18:38How do you navigate that situation?
18:41Because it must be pretty scary.
18:42Yeah, sometimes on a beach like Toki, we can have snap ribs.
18:46So, what we have to do with managing that is we'll either relocate the red and yellow flags or we'll close the beach.
18:53Our job is sort of to prevent incidents and rescues before they actually happen.
19:03I see the effect that sun has on people on a daily basis.
19:06I work in the emergency department and I work in a skin cancer clinic.
19:10I see people coming in with the worst sunburns that you would not believe.
19:15And here's a trap that people fall into all the time, and I want to make sure that you guys at home know about it so it doesn't happen to you.
19:21The UV is not related to the temperature.
19:25You're just as likely to get fried on a cloudy, windy day as you are on a 35-degree scorcher.
19:31The way around this is to check your phone, look at the weather app, and look at what the UV is doing before you go to the beach.
19:38Don't get caught out.
19:39Skin cancer rates are still rising, but it's no surprise.
19:44We look at sunscreen as being some sort of magic shield, but in reality, we're not good at putting it on.
19:49We're not good at reapplying, and it lulls us into this false security that we're really looking after our skin, when we're probably not.
19:56So here's my quick tips to keep you safe in the sun.
20:01Always use Factor 50, and try to reapply, ideally every two hours if you can.
20:08And don't just use sunscreen.
20:09If the UV is extremely high, maybe don't go out in the sun, but use hats, use rashes, use sunglasses.
20:17All of these things will keep you safe when you're in the sun.
20:20Protecting your eyes from that big fireball in the sky is as important as anything else.
20:27UV damage to the front of the eye can lead to things like cataracts, and damage to the back of the eye can lead to permanent vision changes.
20:34Kids are more susceptible to damage because their lenses are clearer, and that lets in more UV light to the back of the eye.
20:43So remember, when you're in the sun, you need glasses that meet the Australian standards for UV.
20:48Here you go, Dean.
20:50So those have UV 400, which are the best of the best lenses, and they give you 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays.
21:01Designer sunglasses, you'll be cool, but your eyeballs won't be.
21:05Get something with proper UV protection.
21:10So these silly glasses that we put on kids can actually do more harm than good.
21:14The reason is, the lenses don't have the UV protection, and they do cause dilation of the pupils, which makes more light go to the back of the eye, and can cause more damage.
21:24So, put them in the bin.
21:25I've just parked over here, Kai.
21:27Cheers.
21:28Really appreciate it.
21:29In Australia, we've done a really good job of making rashies, hats, and sunscreen part of our routine before we go to the beach, but we need to do the same thing for our eyes.
21:41If it's bright enough to wear sunscreen, it's bright enough to wear sunglasses.
21:46After all, you're going to want to see if there's a mad Scotsman about to come off his surfboard.
21:50Oh, I can feel the warmth on my skin.
21:58If you want to feel the warmth on your skin, spending more time by the ocean waves, Princess Cruises is giving you the chance to win a luxury cruise holiday.
22:10You could win the ultimate escape thanks to Princess Cruises.
22:14Imagine making memories on a 15-night cruise for two around the stunning South Pacific and New Zealand.
22:19There's plenty of time to relax on the elegant Crown Princess.
22:22Every day brings something new, from tropical islands to world-class dining and entertainment.
22:29This incredible opportunity is just a few clicks away.
22:32Don't miss your chance to win.
22:34Terms and conditions apply.
22:36I'm so excited.
22:37It is that time again where one of Australia's most recognisable, and dare I say it, beloved faces, tries not to lose their cool.
22:45Yes, it's time for The Box of Death.
22:49Tonight's brave soul has run crime syndicates, raised families, and even suffered through buzzarounds.
23:02Only on TV, of course.
23:03Please welcome Guyton Grantley.
23:10You know, I've got to say, I've always thought that you and I look like brother and sister.
23:16I agree with you.
23:17Yes.
23:18We should do some AI and just morph our faces together.
23:20Exactly.
23:24Normally this would be just a catch-up.
23:26I've got so much to talk to you about.
23:28Italy, for example.
23:30Your incredible career.
23:31But we can do that later because we've got a few guests to introduce to you.
23:39I've heard.
23:40This is, of course, The Box of Death.
23:42There's something in there.
23:42We don't know what it is.
23:43You can go with it.
23:45Or you can hold Lara.
23:48Please turn around, Guyton Grantley, and be introduced to our gorgeous friend, Lara.
23:53She is the snake on the right.
23:55Oh, hi, Lara.
23:55Lara?
23:57Oh, wow.
23:58She's gorgeous.
23:59Oh, God.
24:01Guyton's going to be one of those.
24:03Yeah, I grew up in Queensland.
24:05Like, I grew up with a spider on my face one night.
24:07That's happened to me as well.
24:09And he didn't even ask for my number.
24:12Here.
24:12Oh, there it is.
24:13This is Henrietta.
24:15I actually want to make a feature film called Huntsman.
24:18Do you know they're the only spider that actually hunts?
24:21Every other spider sets up a web or a trap or some sort.
24:24Now, you have a huge choice on your hands.
24:29You can go with either of those or you can risk it all for the Box of Death.
24:40It's like a good heavy metal name.
24:42Like, Box of Death.
24:46Hmm.
24:46It seems Guyton Grantley is not scared of spiders.
24:50He's not scared of snakes.
24:51So, hopefully, there's something terrifying in the Box of Death.
24:56Back after the break.
25:03This segment is brought to you by Bob Jane T-Mart's Best Tire Price Guarantee.
25:09Welcome back to Healthy, Wellbeing and Wise.
25:14Just before the break, we left legendary Australian actor Guyton Grantley staring down three unsavoury options.
25:22The snake, the spider or the mystery box of Death.
25:26But don't worry, Guyton, this is a very professional outfit here.
25:35Okay, yeah.
25:35We have ticked all the boxes and taken some precautions.
25:39Just in case things get a little bit dangerous, maybe a little bit dirty, we've got a sanitation expert.
25:44Great.
25:45Yeah.
25:46Yeah.
25:46Now, what's it going to be?
25:49Lara the python, Henrietta the spider, or whatever is lurking beneath the box of Death.
26:00Look, I don't think it's any surprise that I'm pretty keen for a surprise.
26:05Yes.
26:05So, let's go to the box of Death.
26:07Yes, I love this.
26:11I'll get this for you.
26:12Ash, Ash.
26:14Oh.
26:15There's nothing there.
26:16See, the thing is what we've got in store for you is too big for the box.
26:20Oh, wow.
26:20It's too big for the box.
26:23Hey.
26:25Oh, cute.
26:27But its mouth is tied up, so that means it is dangerous.
26:31Can I get a bit of cuddle?
26:32Yeah, absolutely.
26:33What's its name?
26:34This is snappy, Tom.
26:36Snappy.
26:37Just before we go on, you're so relaxed.
26:39The whole point of this is that you're freaking out and you can't even understand what I'm saying.
26:44Why don't we put all three of them on him and just see what happens?
26:47Well, the crew says we can do it.
26:49I suppose I'd better get your permission.
26:51Do you want to do all three?
26:52Let's do all three.
26:54What could possibly go wrong?
26:57Can you just sign here for us?
26:58Right.
26:59So, everything goes to Chrissie?
27:01Is that what happens?
27:01I whispered at 50-50.
27:04Actually, that says 90-10 in your favour.
27:07Actually, okay, I'm getting a little nervous now.
27:08Oh, okay, it is actually happening right here in front of us.
27:11No, I'm actually getting really nervous now.
27:12Okay, we are going to start the clock.
27:15It's on my head.
27:16It's on my head.
27:18Oh!
27:19Oh, my God.
27:19Oh, in your eye!
27:24It's the stuff of nightmares.
27:26No, it's working.
27:27I am...
27:27You're panicking.
27:29Okay, this is great.
27:29Okay, I'm good again.
27:31Can you please perform a Ron Weasley line from the stage play?
27:34Sunshine, daisies, marshmallow, turn this stupid, fat, yellow.
27:43You have been living in Italy until recently.
27:45Is it a travesty that there is no such thing as pineapple on pizza in the entire country?
27:51There are Italian chefs, pizziolas, who are...
27:54You've got to, like, barbecue the pineapple.
27:57You've got to use prosciutto instead of, you know, crap ham.
28:00Like, it's done.
28:01Check it out.
28:02Look it up.
28:03When you order a coffee and they say,
28:05what name am I writing on the cup, do you just say John?
28:09James.
28:09Actually, I do say James.
28:10That's my middle name.
28:11Oh!
28:13Oh!
28:15Oh!
28:17It's real.
28:18It's real.
28:19It's whispering sweet nothings to me.
28:23Time is up.
28:25Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the incredible guy, Grantley.
28:29That.
28:33Yeah, like, I mean, as tough as I pretend to be, like, it's...
28:36Yeah, you're shaking.
28:38It's scary, man, yeah.
28:39These are the most dangerous spider in Australia through car accidents and heart attacks.
28:43Yes.
28:44Now, from facing fears to finding flair,
28:47up next, Chica is taking Makeover nominee Teagan
28:51to pull together a wardrobe that lets her celebrate and enjoy her femininity.
28:59Hello, gorgeous Teagan.
29:01How are you?
29:02Now, we're going to go in here and do some shopping,
29:04but before we go in, just a little reminder.
29:06Yep.
29:06We're going to get you into some great dresses.
29:08Yep.
29:08Some pretty colours.
29:09We're going to make you feel feminine and gorgeous again.
29:11That sounds so good.
29:12Okay, fantastic.
29:13Well, let's go inside and start shopping.
29:15Let's do it.
29:15Okay.
29:17Teagan, I would absolutely love you to meet Donna, who owns Blue Illusion.
29:20Hello.
29:20Teagan, lovely to meet you.
29:22Welcome to Blue Illusion.
29:24Teagan is our girl who wants to look pretty, feminine,
29:27bring back her girly girl because she's got four boys.
29:29Lots of colour.
29:30But pretty and soft.
29:31Today it's all about experimenting.
29:33Yeah, exactly.
29:33We've got to try some new looks and some new shape.
29:39This is an outfit that I absolutely love.
29:41I really love the pants.
29:43Not sure about the top?
29:44Yeah, I'm not sure on the colours and the pattern.
29:47This is a really good classic piece for you.
29:49Cute t-shirt underneath it or with a dress.
29:51I love that.
29:52Is there anything else here that's jumping out at you?
29:53I do like this top.
29:55I mean, that's the kind of top you could tie back with a cute pair of jeans.
29:58Do you like those pink bubblegum jeans?
29:59I'm willing to give them a go.
30:01Teagan?
30:01I don't even know if I'd wear them.
30:02We can do another colour.
30:03It doesn't have to be pink.
30:04You could do blue or just denim.
30:06The linen pant.
30:07Or the linen pant.
30:07They'd look great with a linen pant.
30:09There is a dress I really want to show you because I saw it and thought of you straight away
30:13because I thought it was so feminine and girly.
30:16I love that.
30:16And you.
30:17Gives you that beautiful waist.
30:18I think we've got a few things to play with.
30:20Let's go.
30:20Let's do it.
30:26Come on out, Teagan.
30:27Oh my gosh.
30:28Look at you.
30:29Do you feel beautiful?
30:31I do.
30:32I love the looseness.
30:33Do you like this bag?
30:34Yes, I do.
30:34I think it's a real cutie.
30:35Yeah, love the colour.
30:37Oh, and the denim jacket, of course, over the shoulders.
30:40Perfect.
30:41And the last thing I wanted to show you because I really think the versatility of this dress
30:45is going to be perfect for you.
30:47Yeah, that's very cute.
30:48Is it?
30:48I like that.
30:49I think that's a brilliant look on you.
30:51And you know, it's a good dress.
30:52You could still wear that to the BMX track and not feel out of place, but you could also
30:56dress it up for your girlfriends.
30:57How do you feel?
30:58Yeah, I love it.
30:59Sexy?
30:59You're rocking it.
31:00Okay, Teagan, next look for you, which is the one I am hoping you love.
31:04Ooh.
31:05Ooh.
31:06Okay, what are we thinking?
31:07Now, I still don't like it.
31:09No, just the pattern.
31:10I like the cut.
31:11Let's take that off then.
31:12I'm going to give you.
31:13There's the white teeth.
31:14This and this.
31:15Perfect.
31:16And you can wear those with those pants.
31:18Very cute.
31:19We need some jewellery.
31:20Yeah, I think we need some earrings.
31:22I mean, you have stolen my look.
31:23You've done the reverse of me.
31:25Love.
31:26I love that.
31:27Time for you to get changed.
31:29We're going to whip you off to hair and makeup.
31:30We're going to put together a reveal outfit for you, so watch this space.
31:33I can't wait.
31:35It's so lovely to meet you, Sheridan.
31:43My pleasure.
31:44So how long have you known Teagan for?
31:46Teagan and Gary moved in next door.
31:49When she moved there, she only had the two bigger boys,
31:51and since then, she's had the two little boys.
31:53And Crane was a little bit of a daughter next door.
31:55Oh, I love that.
31:56And I am a little bit of a GMAR to her children.
32:00She's a wonderful mother.
32:01Life was very challenging for them.
32:03It's why it's special that we've been able to do this for her.
32:05And I have to say, when she walked in the door today,
32:07she had a smile already before we even began.
32:09I know, I know.
32:10Should we have a look at her now?
32:12Yes, please.
32:12Okay, let's do it.
32:13Teagan, are you ready for us to see you?
32:15I sure am.
32:21Oh, my God.
32:23Look at you.
32:25You look amazing.
32:27I love this outfit.
32:28Oh, my God.
32:33Oh, my God.
32:33Oh, my God.
32:34You look beautiful.
32:37All right, let's do a little cheers to our gorgeous girl.
32:40Cheers.
32:41Cheers.
32:42Our little rock star.
32:48Thank you so much.
32:49You're welcome.
32:50It has been such a treat.
32:52You look amazing.
32:53It has been so lovely to meet you, too.
32:55Please go and enjoy your gorgeous, hot new look.
32:58Bye.
32:59See you.
33:00Bye.
33:03Oh, wow.
33:05Never underestimate the power of therapy,
33:07and by that I mean retail therapy.
33:10We're going to let everyone have a little bit of a breather,
33:13and after the break, I'm going to be rolling up my sleeves
33:17for another Shortcut Queen recipe.
33:20You are going to make this.
33:22This is how easy it is.
33:23Hope you like fritters.
33:25This segment is brought to you by the Amy Driving Test.
33:34Lucky you're with Amy.
33:38Welcome back to Healthy, Welly and Wise.
33:40Now, insurance.
33:42It is not glamorous, but it is essential.
33:47Oh, my God, have I?
33:48I haven't paid my car insurance.
33:49Today, we are cutting through the fine print.
33:53Home, car, life.
33:55We've put all of your questions to an expert,
33:58and you're going to want these answers before the next fender bender,
34:02leaky roof, or, heaven forbid, meteor shower.
34:05Hi, I'm Stephen Hussey from Amy Insurance,
34:14and there are no dumb questions.
34:17Jemima H. asks,
34:18if someone is driving my car and they crash it,
34:20whose insurance pays?
34:22Well, I'd firstly start by saying don't lend them your car again.
34:25Most insurers will cover all drivers that you give permission to drive your vehicle.
34:31There sometimes can be some exclusions.
34:33That's where it's really important just to make sure that you understand the terms and conditions
34:36that come with that insurance.
34:38But generally, the policyholder is the one that's responsible for paying the excess for that claim.
34:42Isabella M. asks,
34:43I don't really have much stuff that's worth anything.
34:46Why would it be worth me insuring?
34:48Isabella, you might say you don't have a lot of things that are worth insuring,
34:51but, you know, I can assure you, if you had to go and replace all of those items,
34:55it can very quickly add up.
34:57Eliza G. asks,
34:58what's the most memorable thing you've ever seen someone claim for?
35:01One just recently that really sticks out,
35:04where a young couple had just purchased a new property
35:06before they even had a chance to move in,
35:09had a burst flexi hose,
35:10which pumped hot water through their property for about four or five days
35:14while there was no one there.
35:15There was water streaming out the front door and steam everywhere.
35:19The place had already started filling with mould.
35:21Not a great experience for them
35:23and took us quite a while to get them back on their feet
35:25and get all those repairs completed.
35:27Grace M. asks,
35:28if I have solar panels,
35:29do they automatically fall under the protection of my house insurance?
35:33Most insurers will cover solar panels as part of the home.
35:36They are a fixed outdoor item to your property,
35:39so they do fall under your home building insurance cover.
35:42Ravi M. asks,
35:43if my car is hit by an uninsured driver,
35:45am I just out of luck?
35:47There are definitely car insurance policies
35:49that will cover you for not-at-fault accidents.
35:51Make sure you get as many details of the other driver as possible.
35:55Take photos of the accident scene.
35:58If you are unlucky enough to have an accident,
36:00hopefully you'll have insurance
36:01and you're lucky you're with Amy.
36:04Is it too much?
36:08Welcome back into our little kitchen.
36:10I'm so thrilled to be here with you, Ash.
36:12As am I.
36:13Now, have you bought this yet?
36:14I'm a shortcut queen.
36:15My book is now available.
36:17We're doing a recipe out of it.
36:18Take your mind back to COVID times.
36:20I mean, I know that it's the C word,
36:22but I'm going to use it.
36:23We all lost our minds,
36:24but we all gained a waffle maker.
36:26There's only so many sweet things you can have.
36:28I am going to resurrect those waffle makers
36:32that are sitting in your cupboard,
36:34I know they are,
36:34that you used once on a Sunday
36:36and then never used again.
36:38Corn fritters in the waffle maker.
36:42We did waffle a bit yesterday.
36:44Hey!
36:46I like my fritters to be very, very corny,
36:48like I like my men.
36:50There is a lot of corn in here.
36:52You're not a cook.
36:52Are you confident?
36:54Absolutely not.
36:55Yeah, great.
36:55You are going to make this.
36:56This is how easy it is.
36:57Crack an egg.
36:58In there?
36:59Normally I would do it separately,
37:00but we're not.
37:00We're going to do it exactly like you would do it at home,
37:03with a hangover and two kids going,
37:05I'm hungry!
37:06Go.
37:06Is there a shell in there?
37:07Yeah, that's why I like to do it in a separate bowl.
37:11Spring onion.
37:12In.
37:13Save some for a little bit of garnish.
37:15Self-raising flour to give it that...
37:18In, in.
37:19Go.
37:19This in too?
37:20Yep.
37:20Corn flour gives it the crunch.
37:22Yes.
37:23Bicarb soda, which also adds the puff.
37:26Some salt, because we love salt.
37:29What's this milk?
37:30Yes.
37:31Pull that in as well.
37:32Yeah.
37:32Give that a good mix.
37:34Go for it, Ash.
37:34This is going to end up everywhere.
37:35Go.
37:36Dad, will you play Lego with me later?
37:38I've got a sore head.
37:39My head is hot.
37:41You know, you can do it.
37:42I can do it.
37:42Even when you're being harassed.
37:43I know.
37:44Okay, that's good?
37:45That's it.
37:45Okay, great.
37:46This is hot.
37:47All right, now spoon that in.
37:48You're a good boy.
37:49Keep on piling.
37:50Not too much, though, because it'll all come out.
37:52You said that after I do a big lump.
37:53No, no, it's okay.
37:54Yeah, push it.
37:55Go.
37:56We're going to do a bit of magic of television.
37:58That's what they look like.
37:59Look.
38:00Beautiful.
38:01Died and gone to heaven.
38:02Bang.
38:05I'm going to make you the perfect bite.
38:07Yes, please.
38:07Look at that.
38:09All right, you ready?
38:10I'm so ready.
38:11Come on.
38:12Mm.
38:13Oh, my goodness.
38:14Okay.
38:14You did that.
38:16That is today's Short Cut Queen hack.
38:19Oh, my God.
38:19Here's my book.
38:20Everything in here is in here.
38:23Next up, we see the final reveal of Amy's room rescue.
38:28Oh, my goodness.
38:30It doesn't even look like the same layout room.
38:32It's good, isn't it?
38:32Oh, my God.
38:33I'm so happy.
38:34See you soon.
38:35See you soon.
38:35This segment is brought to you by AusDesign, furniture for life.
38:51Welcome back to Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
38:53We have reached the finale of today's DIY project.
38:58And once again, I'm joined by our titan on the tools.
39:01Amy, you are helping a family make a tiny little room useful and beautiful again.
39:07You must get such a buzz from it.
39:09I do, because it is such a privilege that they let me into their home, some random,
39:14and just to take everything out and completely redo the space.
39:18And there was a lot of challenges with this one.
39:20A, it was tiny.
39:22Their couch was in front of a door.
39:24The mantelpiece was rotted.
39:25And we only had a couple of days.
39:27I can't wait to see how you've resuscitated this room.
39:32Let's have a look.
39:34Back at the farm, there's been tremendous progress.
39:38Colour drenched.
39:41This whole room.
39:42It actually feels bigger now.
39:44And it's kind of the in thing at the moment.
39:46But what else is coming in is timber beading and moulding like this.
39:51And it's come back in fashion.
39:52That's why I'm still keeping my skinny jeans, because I know in another 10 years I'll be back.
39:59The next job is ripping out the old stained carpet, then installing a new one.
40:05I know this family needs this place to relax, and carpet is hard to beat when it comes to warmth and comfort.
40:11I'm installing a wall carpet because it's fire-resistant, and a natural beige colour will complement the eucalyptus walls perfectly.
40:26So the current mantelpiece has seen better days.
40:29It's got a fair bit of rot in it.
40:31I could have taken it off and replaced it with a new one, but I thought it would be easier, faster, and look a lot better if I actually box out some pine and frame over the top and paint it a beautiful stained walnut colour.
40:46Because pine is naturally quite bright, I like to do three coats to achieve a rich and even colour.
40:54I feel like I'm under a bit of pressure here.
40:56I've got an audience.
40:57They're definitely judging me.
41:03Apart from the fireplace, I'm really going for softness all round, including the windows.
41:09This is my secret weapon.
41:11The shears bring so much softness to the room, and running them on the entire wall.
41:17Look at that.
41:18Look at that.
41:20Finally, it's time to get the furniture in.
41:24Ah, look at that beautiful mirror.
41:26Nice.
41:27These are another secret weapon.
41:30They're an ottoman, but because we're in such a small space, they're also full of storage.
41:37How good.
41:39Just because we've got another cabinet going there.
41:42I'm sticking to warm wood tones, soft white, and green, so all the beauty of outside is reflected on the inside.
41:56It's actually fitting quite well.
41:57Sometimes I think to myself, I actually know what I'm doing, but we'll see.
42:02Last but not least, my own custom-made creation.
42:08All right, mantelpiece is done.
42:10I'm super stoked with how the space turned out, but really, the only opinion that matters is the homeowners, so let's bring them in.
42:16No peeking.
42:18Keep your eyes closed, and just remember what this space looked like before.
42:23A couple of stains on the carpet.
42:26There was a huge couch blocking a door to your beautiful outside.
42:29The paint job was a bit how you're going in three, two, one.
42:38Open your eyes.
42:39Oh, my goodness.
42:42Wow.
42:42It's so different.
42:46It doesn't even look like the same lounge room.
42:48Bit of a change.
42:50Yes.
42:50Yeah, wow.
42:53Wow.
42:54I love it.
42:55It actually doesn't look like the same room.
42:57No, not at all.
42:59Oh, my goodness.
43:00Brand new carpet.
43:01All new furniture.
43:02You've got access to your door now, so you can open it and walk outside.
43:07And then new mantelpiece.
43:10Yeah, I love them.
43:11And the bricks behind the fire.
43:12We've kept enough seating, but we've also smashed out storage everywhere.
43:17So there's storage in there for all Levi's toys, and also cheeky bit of storage.
43:24Oh, wow.
43:24That's so cool.
43:25That's awesome.
43:26New paint job.
43:27We did want to use just light green colour to bring the outside in.
43:31And how beautiful are the shears that have gone up?
43:34Yeah.
43:34I love it.
43:35It feels so cosy.

43:49What a transformation, Amy.
43:52I know.
43:53And the thing is, these are so achievable.
43:55You don't have to spend a million dollars.
43:58It's not going to take you two years of the reno.
44:00Just take little steps.
44:02A huge thank you to all of our experts today.
44:04Thank you so much, Amy.
44:05And Ash.
