Algeria has announced an ambitious national hydrogen strategy aiming to supply 10% of Europe's clean hydrogen demand by 2040, targeting 40 TWh of both green and blue hydrogen production. The country also highlighted its ongoing Green Dam Project, a $600 million initiative combating desertification across 5 million hectares that has already completed 64% of plantations and created thousands of jobs. Additional measures include a national plastic pollution reduction plan and climate adaptation strategies, positioning Algeria as an emerging leader in both ecological restoration and renewable energy exports.
