00:00I first found out about this on Wednesday morning.
00:05I was in the department, both learning from officials,
00:09but also preparing for Prime Minister's questions.
00:13At the dispatch box, I did not have all of the detail.
00:17That detail was actually released just later,
00:21after I had finished at Prime Minister's questions.
00:24I took the judgment that it is important when updating the House
00:30and the country about serious matters like this
00:33that you have all of the detail.
00:35I was not equipped with all of the detail.
00:38And the danger is that you end up misleading the House and the general public.
00:42So that is the judgment I took.
00:44I think it's the right judgment.
