00:00We should have built more prisons and we shouldn't have closed some of the old Victorian jails before the new ones came online.
00:07But let's be very clear about what's happening here.
00:10This isn't about the number of prisons that have been built or otherwise.
00:13This is about administrative failure in the prison service and the Ministry of Justice in the last 12 months
00:20that has led to a spike in the number of criminals being released accidentally.
00:24And it's about the performance of this Justice Secretary who has chosen to conceal what's happening from the public
00:31rather than being honest and transparent as this is duty as Justice Secretary.
