00:00The ISF Services Index does come in a little bit better than expected, 52.4.
00:05That's up from 50, and the forecast was for 50.8, the consensus there.
00:10Prices paid, though, rises, 70.
00:13That's probably one of the highest in quite some time.
00:15I have to look up the historical on that.
00:17That compares with 69.4 in the month of September.
00:22New orders are up 56.2 from 50.4.
00:26Employment, though, is still below 50, 48.2 from 47.2.
00:31Make of that what you will since we won't be getting any kind of pay report on Friday.
00:37One of the things that people are looking at these days, guys, is the comments that the ISM gets because they've been very negative.
00:46There's one here that says uncertainty due to the federal government shutdown has shuttered many nonessential functions.
00:51This will lead to project delays and overall hurt our fiscal year 2026 expectations.
00:58Activity generally flat month over month, another one said.
01:02Closely monitoring tariffs and heightened business activity was due to the fiscal new year budget.
01:09I guess they mean with the federal government.
01:11So it looks like we're starting off the new fiscal year sort of with a mixed message that the overall service economy is still expanding, but there are cracks.
