00:25he had another remarkable outing, with four hits, including two home runs, one of which was a lead

00:31off shot, and he drove in four runs. Additionally, he hit an opposite-field RBI triple that reached

00:37the left-field fence, ranked as baseball's number two prospect by MLB Pipeline. McGonigal has

00:43successfully reached base in every game. Since joining the AFL last month, he is expected to be

00:49a player to watch during the upcoming Fall Stars game, where the league's top talents will compete

00:54on Sunday night, last weekend. McGonigal spoke with MLB reporter Jesse Boric, after the Scorpions'

01:01thrilling walk-off victory, discussing his experiences with the team. Last month, Kevin

01:06McGonigal shared his thoughts on the team's dynamics. He expressed that from the very beginning,

01:13he felt a strong connection with his teammates. He noted that everyone arrived with a shared goal,

01:18to win. According to him, the team is currently performing well in that regard. He emphasized

01:24the exceptional chemistry among the players, highlighting that they are playing selflessly

01:30and supporting one another. He believes that this teamwork is crucial, and that if they continue

01:35on this path, they will be well-positioned for the playoffs. Jesse Boric then inquired if there had

01:40been any surprises for him during his first month. He asked if there was anything that caught him off

01:45guard. In response, Kevin McGonigal mentioned that he hadn't encountered any significant surprises.

01:50He did note that the atmosphere at the baseball games has been somewhat quiet. However, he feels

01:56that the essence of the game remains unchanged. With everyone striving to win, he also pointed out

02:01that his primary focus while being out there is on defense, and he feels he is performing well in

02:06that aspect. At the moment, I am eager to continue doing that. Jesse Boric inquired about Kevin's

02:11performance, noting that he had made several impressive plays at shortstop and had experience playing

02:16third and second base, among other positions. He asked Kevin if he noticed any differences in how

02:21the ball comes off the bat. When playing these different positions, Kevin McGonigal responded by

02:26explaining that at third base, the ball approaches much faster, requiring quicker reactions, and the

02:32movement of the ball tends to be more lateral, compared to the downward trajectory he experiences at

02:37shortstop. He emphasized that his primary focus is on adjusting to the various pitches he faces at third

02:43base, particularly being ready for hard-hit balls down the line, which may require him to dive and

02:49make a play to get the runner out at first base. Jesse Boric then asked about Kevin's relationship

02:54with Max Anderson, who has been playing third base as well, and whether they had developed a connection.

02:59While playing together during the season, Kevin McGonigal replied that he and Max are very close.

03:05He expressed admiration for Max, stating that he looks up to him and appreciates the support he receives

03:10from him both on and off the field. Kevin mentioned that when it comes to playing third base, he often

03:15seeks Max's guidance. He expresses that he listens and appreciates the support he receives, emphasizing
