28:27I work with this elementary school in Ottawa.

28:33And let me tell you something.
28:34That was the best days of my life.
28:36Seeing the kids, how happy they were.
28:38When you go to work with kids, we dress up different.
28:41We act different.

28:44It's a different type of show.
28:45In Edmonton, we had drag story time at Edmonton Public Library.
28:50Our community found out that there was going to be a protest.
28:53So, before you know it, there were probably about 60 of us counter protesting.

28:58And while they were there with their angry faces and all that energy, we counter protested with rainbow flags, with music, and a lot of dancing.
29:07We're not here to hurt anyone.
29:08We're here to have fun.
29:09And we want to share that with you.
29:10So, why would you want to take that away from anyone?
29:13What happens in the U.S. often starts traveling up.
29:16It trickles up here.

29:18I had the displeasure of getting personally called out by an American politician.
29:24I don't even want to say her name because I don't feel like she deserves any airtime in any way.
29:28Somebody took a video of me performing, and there's a moment where I step in front of the fan, and then the wind blows all my clothes off.
29:37And somehow it just turned into this huge, huge thing.
29:41Once the death threats start, I had to shut down my social media.
29:44Hearing people tell me that I should kill myself, that I don't deserve to live.
29:48It's just like, it was a lot.
29:50I think a lot of this attention on drag queens, in particular in the States where they're banning it, it's not an attack on drag.
29:58It's an attack on trans women.
30:00They look at us as trans women as a costume that we're putting on.
30:03That what we're living and what we're experiencing isn't sincere.
30:07I mean like, people are literally talking about eradicating trans people as a whole.
30:11People don't see us as people, and so people are not going to have a problem directing their hate at us.
30:16I have to listen to people tell me that I'm never going to be a woman, that I'm still a man, but I don't get treated the same way as other men.
30:23Within the first few weeks of just my surgeries, like, I got attacked twice, somebody tried to rape me, like, that's scary.

41:17I tend to do that as well but there is time for you know self analysis and being critical and then there's time to just be bluster and big and on stage is where you got to be big.
