00:03Today, it's all about the brand new Tesla Model YL,
00:07which was officially unveiled in China and comes with some exciting new features.
00:14The all-electric SUV is positioned as a spacious six-seater family vehicle
00:18and features not only visual but also technical updates.
00:24With a starting price of around €40,000,
00:27Tesla is targeting the mid-range segment of electromobility
00:31and will begin deliveries of the vehicle in September.
00:36Visually, the Model YL stands out from the well-known Model Y
00:39primarily due to its redesigned roofline and a revised rear spoiler,
00:44which gives the SUV a sportier and more aerodynamic look.
00:49Thanks to these modifications,
00:50the drag coefficient has been reduced to an impressive 0.216.
00:57The dimensions of the vehicle are around 5 meters long,
01:011.9 meters wide,
01:031.7 meters high
01:04and the wheelbase is 3.0 meters.
01:09Inside, the occupants can look forward to a revised 16-inch central screen.
01:14The wireless charging option for smartphones at the front
01:17has been improved and now allows parallel fast charging
01:20with up to 50 watts and 30 watts.
01:22The revised audio system now includes a new sender speaker in the sender console
01:29as well as two additional speakers in the roof area.
01:33No expense has been spared when it comes to practical features either.
01:38Every seat, including the second and third rows,
01:41has its own charging port.
01:44Three rows of airbags ensure safety with a protective area of 3.9 meters,
01:48which covers over 95% of the interior.
01:53The cargo space is also impressive.
01:56With the third row of seats folded down,
01:58the Model YL offers a maximum cargo volume of 2,540 L,
02:03which means space for up to four 28-inch suitcases and two 20-inch suitcases.
02:09The Model YL is powered by an all-wheel-drive dual-motor system.
02:13The front electric motor delivers 193 horsepower,
02:17while the rear one has 269 horsepower.
02:22This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds.
02:29The energy is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 82 kilowatt hours,
02:33which enables a range of around 750 kilometers according to the CLTC standard.
02:38The average energy consumption is around 13 kilowatt hours per 100 kilometers.
02:45With this new model,
02:46Tesla is entering a highly competitive market for large electric SUVs in China.
02:52Major competitors such as the Li Auto 8,
02:55the Onvol 90 or the upcoming Edo M8 EV
02:58are positioning themselves with similar concepts,
03:01with the Model YL being the most compact of the vehicles mentioned in terms of dimensions.
