00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, we're talking about the comprehensive update for the 2025 Tesla Model X.
00:09After a long wait, Tesla has finally revised its large SUV, which has been on the market since 2015.
00:16However, the reaction from the fan community has been rather muted.
00:20The reason?
00:21The new Model X has not only become heavier and more expensive,
00:25but it also has none of the innovative technologies that caused a stir in the Cybertruck.
00:30These include neither steerby wire nor rear-wheel steering or a modern 800-volt battery system.
00:37Many Tesla enthusiasts publicly expressed their displeasure on the manufacturer's official channel
00:42and complained about the lack of progress.
00:45In direct comparison to other manufacturers such as Rivian Lucid, the Cadillac Escalade IQ or the Kia IV9,
00:52the Model X is increasingly losing its technological edge.
00:55Fans of large electric SUVs with seven seats, a long-range and modern features in particular had expected more.
01:05Nevertheless, the update brings some sensible improvements.
01:09The ride has become noticeably more comfortable thanks to new liners and a revised chassis design.
01:14Tesla also promises a significantly quieter cabin thanks to better insulation against wind and road noise
01:22as well as an advanced active noise cancellation system.
01:29The interior has a fresher look thanks to new, individually adjustable ambient lighting
01:33that extends not only across the dashboard but also across the center console and all doors.
01:38The LED lights in the footwell and door pockets can now also be set to any color.
01:47On the outside, the Model X features new rim designs, an aerodynamically optimized shape
01:53and the new frost blue exterior color.
01:55The new front bumper camera with its own cleaning system is practical
02:00and is designed to improve visibility in difficult conditions.
02:04Particularly relevant for families, the Model X now offers additional storage space.
02:10Compared to the previous version, there are 71 liters more,
02:13which increases the maximum load volume to almost 2,700 liters.
02:18The space in the third row of seats has also been slightly improved.
02:22In terms of prices, the Model X is now around 4,600 euros more than before.
02:29The basic version with all-wheel drive now costs around 84,000 euros
02:33and offers a range of up to 570 kilometers.
02:37The more powerful PL version is priced at around 97,000 euros
02:41and can cover up to 540 kilometers on a single battery charge.
02:46The top speed of the plate model remains unchanged.
02:49However, the vehicle is now heavier.
02:53The plate now weighs around 83 kilograms more and is approaching the 2,500 kilograms mark.
03:00The all-wheel drive version also gains slightly in weight, around 2 kilogram.
03:05Another change concerns the controversial Jogelin steering wheel.
03:09This has been removed from the standard versions in the new model generation
03:14and is now only available as an option in the plate versions for an additional charge of around 900 euros.
03:22Although the Tesla Model X25 is currently only available in the United States,
03:27it remains unclear when it will come to Europe.
03:29Given the sharp decline in sales figures in recent years,
03:34it is understandable that Tesla has not primarily invested its resources in this model series.
03:43The Model X is now only listed as a different model in the company's internal accounting,
03:47which underlines its diminished importance in the current portfolio.
