01:51Inside, the Destinator impresses with a generous space concept that is particularly designed for families.
01:56Three rows of seats offer space for up to seven people.
02:01The second row of seats can be split in a 40 hours 20 minutes and 40 seconds ratio, while the third row can be folded down individually in a 50 to 50 ratio.
02:12Both rows can be folded completely flat to create a continuous loading area.
02:17Even with fully occupied seats, there is sufficient storage space for smaller items of luggage.
02:22The large panoramic glass roof, which can be opened or tilted in 5% increments and controlled either via the touchscreen or via classic controls, creates an airy feeling of space.
02:36In addition, there is LED ambient lighting with a total of 64 freely selectable colors, which illuminates the interior in a particularly atmospheric way.
02:45Other practical features include foldable tables on the backrests of the front seats, holders for tablets, cup holders in each row of seats and well-conceived storage solutions that make the Destinator a real companion in everyday life.
02:59The infotainment system is state-of-the-art and is dominated by two large displays.
03:08A touchscreen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and a digital instrument cluster with an 8-inch screen area.
03:16The operating logic is designed so that both the panoramic roof and the ambient lighting, the air conditioning and other comfort functions can be controlled directly via the display.
03:25The soundscape is provided by a sound system with eight speakers, tuned by Yamaha, which is divided into four individual sound profiles depending on where you are sitting in the vehicle.
03:39This acoustic fine-tuning was implemented together with Yamaha acoustic experts and significantly raises the infotainment level.
03:46The Mitsubishi Destinator is powered by a 1.5L turbo petrol engine, which is based on the proven 4B40 engine with direct injection.

04:05In order to optimize fuel consumption, the engine operates in the so-called Atkinson cycle, which is said to be more efficient at partial load.
04:12The engine is combined with a continuously variable CVT transmission, which offers variable gear ratios and ensures even power delivery.

04:26An all-wheel drive version is not currently planned.
04:30In order to master different driving conditions, Mitsubishi offers five driving modes,
04:35Tarmac, Wet, Gravel, Mod and Normal.
04:38These influence, among other things, the traction control, steering assistance and drive torque distribution.
04:47The technical basis is a McPherson strut axle on the front axle and a torsion beam axle at the rear.
04:54The chassis was specially designed for the road conditions in Southeast Asian regions and is designed to offer a high level of comfort even on poor roads.
05:02Safety is ensured by the tried and tested Mitsubishi safety sensing package.
05:06This includes adaptive cruise control with stop function, a collision warning system with emergency brake assist,
05:13a blind spot assistant, rear cross-traffic warning, a drowsiness warning system, automatic high beam and a rear parking aid.
05:22The Destinator also has an automatic emergency call system that connects directly to a control center in the event of an airbag deployment.
05:29There is also a smartphone app that can be used to remotely check and control the fuel level, the vehicle position or the air conditioning, among other things.
05:43No exact prices for Europe have been announced for the market launch yet, but a rough estimate can be made based on the Indonesian state price.
05:50There, the Mitsubishi Destinator costs the equivalent of around 21,000 euros.
05:58In view of its features, space and technology, this would be a very competitive entry-level price for a modern family SUV with high-end equipment.
06:06The dimensions are approximately 4.8 meters long, approximately 1.9 meters wide and approximately 1.8 meters high with a wheelbase of approximately 2.8 meters.
06:19This clearly places the Destinator in the segment of mid-size SUVs with a tendency towards spaciousness.
