00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're talking about a particularly lightweight and innovative electric vehicle from France, the Factor Dix line.
00:11The futuristically designed lightweight vehicle has a roll angle of between 3 and 4 degrees and stands out not only because of its unusual twin-wheel design at the rear,
00:20but also because of its clever combination of aerodynamics, efficiency and futuristic design.
00:25Visually, the prototype is vaguely reminiscent of the Aptor, with a teardrop-shaped body and a striking sporty appearance at the front.
00:36The vehicle was developed by the Normandy-based startup Factor Dick, which is backed by the two engineers Mark Jim and Augustin Rouleau-Dougar.
00:46The vehicle is called LINE, which stands for Light Is Not Enough.
00:52This motto is reflected in the entire concept.
00:56The line not only aims to impress with its low weight of less than 500 kg, but also with its everyday suitable features, modern technology and a high degree of efficiency.
01:08In order for the vehicle to comply with the Le Homologation, it was designed with a closely spaced twin-wheel at the rear.
01:15Visually, it looks like a three-wheeler, although it is technically a four-wheeler.
01:20The line is powered by two-wheel hub motors with a total output of around 50 kW, which equates to around 68 horsepower.
01:31This enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of around 165 km per hour.
01:36The power consumption is said to be just 4 kWh per 100 km, which, in conjunction with an estimated battery size of around 20 kWh, enables a range of around 500 km in the WLTP cycle.
01:52The charging time is specified as around 10 minutes for the range from 20 to 80%.
01:58An impressive value for a vehicle in this class.
02:02Despite the consistent lightweight construction, in which the body and chassis are made of carbon, no expense has been spared in terms of comfort.
02:12Front airbags, ABS, ESP, air conditioning, heating as well as audio and multimedia systems are included as standard.
02:18The two seats in the interior are arranged slightly offset next to each other, which not only saves space but also facilitates communication between the driver and front passenger.
02:30The trunk offers a volume of 90L, which is more than sufficient for everyday city use.
02:35With a length of 3.9 m, a width of 1.7 m at the front and just 0.8 m at the rear, as well as a height of 1.2 m, the line is compact, but by no means tiny.
02:50The wheelbase is 2.5 m, which, together with the low weight, should ensure agile handling.
02:56The vehicle can be driven with either a class A motorcycle license or a car license with the addition for 125 cc.
03:07The Factor Dix line is still a prototype.
03:10However, if everything goes according to plan, the production model is set to hit the market in 2030.
03:16The price is expected to be around 30,000 euros to 1,000 euros.
03:20So anyone looking for an ultralight, efficient and yet fully equipped electric vehicle could find what they are looking for here.
