00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, it's all about the brand new e-bike duo with the legendary names Mustang and Bronco.
00:10In North America, Ford is launching two officially licensed e-bikes together with the Australian technology company N+,
00:17which are intended to capture the spirit of their automotive role models not only visually but also technically.
00:22With a maximum rated output of 7,500 watts and electric pedal assistance of up to 45 kilometers per hour,
00:32the bikes are in the European SPDCK class.
00:37The Mustang model is particularly striking, with its sporty design, a rear hub motor and a whopping 80 newtonim of torque,
00:44which can deliver an output of around 1 horsepower.
00:48Either via the pedals or directly via a throttle lever on the left handlebar.
00:52The Mustang is all about urban performance and is aimed in particular at Ford enthusiasts.
01:01The new gears on the rear wheel, shifted with Shimano components, offer sufficient range despite the electric assistance,
01:08while the four assistance modes can be conveniently controlled via the onboard display and control unit.
01:12Thanks to the fully adjustable suspension from DNM with lockout function and powerful Tektro disc brakes with four piston calipers on both axles,
01:23the handling remains confident even at higher speeds or on uneven surfaces.
01:29The battery capacity was not specified in kilowatt hours.
01:33However, the system can be fully charged within three and a half hours using a standard household power outlet.
01:40One hour of charging time already restores around 22% of the capacity.
01:46According to the manufacturer, the range is up to 97 kilometers in eco mode,
01:51although factors such as terrain, riding style and tire pressure naturally play a major role.
01:55The weight of the bike and the sturdy frame, especially in the off-road oriented Bronco with its special seat,
02:04coilover shock absorber at the rear and chunky tires, are noticeable when starting off, but also ensure robustness off-road.
02:13Particularly exciting for technology enthusiasts.
02:15It can also be charged on the go, for example via a 110-volt onboard socket in the car,
02:21as the bike only draws 250 watts when charging.
02:26With a starting price of around 3,800 euros, the Ford Mustang e-bike is no bargain.
02:33However, it offers the brand's typical riding pleasure and sophisticated technology.
02:38For brand fans who also want to live out their passion on two wheels, it is definitely worth considering.
