00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about the Xpeng Mona M03,
00:08an up-and-coming budget-friendly electric car from China that has reached a significant
00:12milestone in record time. On March 31, 2025, XP announced that the 100,000 units of the Mona
00:20M03 electric sedan had rolled off the production line just 216 days after its market launch.
00:26This is a new record among Chinese electric car startups.
00:32The car was unveiled on August 27, 2024, and with its affordable approach and modern technology,
00:39it clearly hit the mark. Just 52 minutes after the launch event in Beijing,
00:46over 10,000 firm orders were received. Depending on the equipment, pricing ranges from around
00:5315,600 to a considerable amount for a vehicle of this size and equipment level.
01:00The design is heavily inspired by the Tesla Model 3. However, the Mona M03 is slightly larger at 4.8
01:08meters long, 1.9 meters wide, 1.4 meters high, and with a wheelbase of 2.8 meters, which benefits its
01:16everyday usability. The trunk offers a load capacity of 621L, which can be expanded to an impressive
01:231602L with the rear seats folded down. Inside, Xpeng relies on a minimalist design with a central 15.6-inch
01:33infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 16 gigabytes of RAM.
01:38Unlike Tesla, Xpeng offers a range of customization options, including a plug-in instrument cluster,
01:47a fragrance dispenser, memory foam upholstery, and various interior color options.
01:53Particularly noteworthy is the excellent drag coefficient of just 0.194, which further increases efficiency.
02:00Two variants are available, a 91hp or a 216hp engine, both with front-wheel drive. In both cases,
02:11power is provided by a lithium-iron phosphate battery from BYD Findreams. The base version with 51.8
02:19kWh capacity enables a range of 515 kilometers, while the larger 62.2 kWh version achieves up to 620
02:28kilometers, depending on the equipment. When it comes to driver assistance, Xpeng also goes all
02:34out. 2mm wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 7 cameras ensure level 2 autonomous driving
02:42functionality. The top version, Max, deliveries of which began after the Chinese New Year in 2025,
02:49also offers advanced intelligent driving functions that, according to Xpeng, are unrivaled in this price
02:55range, i.e., under approximately âŹ25,800. This production milestone underscores Xp's growing
03:04importance in the highly competitive Chinese electric car market. The Mona M03 is positioned
03:11as a price-conscious alternative to domestic competitors and the Tesla Model 3. As always,
