00:06On March 5th, BYD announced that the SEAL EV had won the 3rd edition of the Japan Annual EU Awards.

00:23In addition to this award, the BYD SEAL EV was previously named among the Top 10 Best Models of the 2024-2025 Japan Car of the Year.

00:40The SEAL IV has been available in Japan since 2024 and is offered with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
00:46The award provider IV Smart particularly praised the vehicle's outstanding design and its comprehensive performance.
00:56In its statement, it stated that the model had received unanimous recognition in both the public vote and the expert jury.

01:11The BAL is a 4-door sedan with a length of 4.8 meters, a width of 1.9 meters and a height of 1.5 meters, while the wheelbase is 2.9 meters.
01:27The design concept is based on the fluid form of marine life moving freely through the water.
01:34The model is equipped with an 83-kilowatt-hour BYD blade battery pack.
01:38The all-wheel drive version sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds, while the rear-wheel drive variants need 5.9 seconds.
01:50The entire model range is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system as standard.
01:56In terms of range, the BYD-CLEV offers 510, 600 or 650 kilometers, depending on the variant.
02:03Thanks to the fast charging function, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80% within 20 minutes.
02:13Inside, the CLEV features a 10.20-inch LCD instrument display, a 5.6-inch floating center screen, a WH, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
02:24The operating system is based on BYD Stylinx 6.0.
02:27Looking to the future, BYD plans to launch its first plug-in hybrid model in Japan this year.
